What made this one special was we udnerstood after the scene at the bench ""WHY"" this guy liked this girl, and ""WHY"" this girl liked the one guy, and disliked the other.
The romance didnt come out of nowhere, and it didnt jsut get lumped in because. There was a valid reason, and foundation for the relationship, that left us understanding what was happening and didnt throw a surprise at us.
In the end when NaruSaku happens, we wont be mystified at where it came from because will be able to point all the way back to chapter 3 and say right there it began.

Shallow reasons
1) they're cute
2) their child would "lolwtf" strong if it inherited both of their strong points. Imagine...Naruto's chakra and creativiy...Sakura's brains and chakra control...mixed into one little package.
3) They're my favourite male and female

Proper reasons
1) Because I genuinely adore Naruto's affection for her. He's so retardedly head over heels, even when he tries to hide it in part 2. It's becomes so selfess, and that's more than can be said for a lot of other romantic affection concerning the rest of the rookies.
2) I adore that their relationship develops in little steps; Sakura hating Naruto, Naruto having a selfish crush on her yet understanding her very well. Sakura beginning to act selfless in her actions for him, Naruto giving his all to save her, Sakura realising Naruto loved her all long and understood her most, him sacrificing his feelings in exchange for hers...
I could go on, but I'm sure you all know what I'm getting at

3) The development in a romantic sense is very good for a shonen manga.

Interesting word choice, not bashing you or anything, just caught my attention

Daissuke just means that Naruto is so completely in love with Sakura that it makes him feel stupid.

Yeah, that's what I meant; he's so stupidly in love with her it shows even when he tries to hide it and it's adorable

...I should probably alter my word choices if it's sending people the wrong signals

I reply nao

I meant he was so vocal about it in part one, but after the POAL and in part 2 it doesn't nearly show half as much. The only times he's directly displayed those romantic emotions to her in part 2 has been asking on dates. All the other times he was staring at her with a strange expression and blushing

Well, he hasn't directly displayed it to her intentionally, but he most definitely did in 343; poor boy was caught by surprise

2) Because Sasuke hates Sakura.
3) Because they are the cutest couple ever.
4) Because they are very sweet.

Sasuke has never hated Sakura. He just found her fangirling annoying and always told her to improve. You see it as hate, I see it as Sasuke telling her he's not good for her.

1) They look awesome together
2) They understand eachother completely
3) Sakura shows developing feelings for him
4) Naruto would do anything for her
5) I've read alot of fanfictions.
That is my top five I can think of right now.

Well, it's quite simple. The hundreds of NaruSaku fanfics permanantly stuck and fused in a section of my brain, called the NaruSaku quadrant. I can no longer go for any other pairings, because the NaruSaku quadrant dominates my brain and orders me to look for new fanfictions. LOL, well, anyway, they left a lasting impression.

Wow, you really do that? Even I have my crack pairings. Just in case I'm pissed off at some author's interpretation of sakura being horribly wrong. ( I can actually sympatize a lot with naruto, so much so that I can overcome when a person writes him wrong.)

Sadly, yes. Of course, every once in a while I'll read a... Nothing. I love side pairings in a NaruSaku, but unfortunately if I try to read a, say ShikaTema, I wouldn't be interested enough to continue. It just happens.

The one thing that has always annoyed me about most shojos (even though they are mostly what i read) is that, yes, there is character development, but its sudden, awkward, and often through some sort of drama. It always brings to mind a person arduously turning a crank to keep the story going.
But in Naruto, they take their time. They start on a journey first just to keep from killing each other, and then begin to understand each other. Their relationship grows through their experiences, from days off to life-or-death situations and they learn to appreciate each other's strengths and weaknesses from it. It isn't a 7th grade crush anymore, its a serious relationship (though not so much romantically at this point) that would be able to survive the trials or time and hardship. I think that's why I love them so much: Their bond is strong enough to last forever.
It isn't quite as strong as I've made it out to be, yet, but I can see it growing.

Nah I meant as in do you pair naruto with another character? God forbid if it's hinata, I don't hate her, but the pairing is just like burnt steak, it's overdone.
