I'm just going to jot down some of my thoughts to the current manga:
Now I know, some manga fans feel like the chapters are mere fillers with Sakura simply collecting new cards. I felt like that, too, mainly b/c of the monthly release cycle. I just reread the chapters again though from the beginning, and they flow a lot better! So if anyone feels frustrated with the pacing, just wait until the chapters pile up (meaning, wait like a year, lol).
As most readers have already speculated, the new cards are not simply new cards: They are upgraded versions of the previous cards. Gale, Siege, Aqua etc. These names just all sound more aggressive and dangerous. The new wand also looks a bit dangerous with all these sharp edges (I hate the design btw). So, while this manga looks cute as always, I think there's a chance for this series to adapt a darker and more serious tone later on, which I think is really cool. I'm ready for some dark drama, lol.
Eriol's magic is maybe weakening or something like that considering Ruby is not doing too well right now... Shaoran and Eriol, what kind of secret are you keeping from Sakura?! I'm so curious, goddamnit T^T
Akiho Shinomoto... Either a different version of Sakura, like Shaoran and Kimihiro from Tsubasa and xxxHolic (there we go again with CLAMP's different dimensions), or she's a descendant of her from the future. It's either of those two if you ask me. Too many similarities b/w Sakura and Akiho. I'm pretty sure that the person in the hooded clothes is Sakura or Akiho.
Anyone else thinks it's weird how Sakura's mom has not appeared in front of Sakura's dad as of lately?
Toya still knows something is up even though he has lost his powers. Overprotective brother mode never fails, imao.
ShaoranxSakura moments make me so happy
New anime for this arc coming out in January 2018. I'm pretty sure this anime will continue the anime, and not strictly follow the manga. Sure things will be changed, but the anime has kittented and added so many things already- and no one really complained about the anime. The anime is in some aspects better than the manga, especially the character development aspect, so I don't mind a slightly different version of this arc.

We'll see. I haven't read the new chapter yet. So I'll get back to here after I finish lol
Okay yeah I have a feeling the hooded figure is that new transfer girl. How magic works in CCS I think is that a particularly powerful magic user can conceal their powers yes? Or did I remember wrong?

A misderiction.Red Herrings?
The transfer girl would mostly the hoodguy, but clamp could use her as misderiction and the hood guy is someonelse thus a redherring.

They HAVE done that before, yes.

Red Herrings?
One of the best red herrings in CCS was the revelation that Yukito was the disguised form of Yue. Before that, everyone thought Mizuki would be the final villain of the Final Judgement (at least she acted way too suspicious). I'm pretty sure back then, manga readers were pretty shocked to find out who Yukito really was. It was hinted though that Yukito was suspicious with his last name containing the word "moon" in it.
But meh, afterwords, Eriol came, and it wasn't really that mysterious anymore. It was slightly annoying tbh. First half of CCS excelled better in overall plot progression, while the second part was better with character development.

Of course!, but that is the point though. the second half wasn't to further the story per say, but to have Sakura and Syaoran develop as character and to acknowledge their feelings for each other. Sakura was supposed to develop her magic to sustain the cards as her own, and Syaoran is supposed to come to terms with what is it about Sakura that makes him so flustered lol
But anyway I hope that the conversation between Syaoran and Eriol means that Syaoran's powers have developed enough to directly help Sakura now

The second part just felt terribly redundant though. Having her turn her cards into Sakura cards just felt more of like an excuse to lengthen the plot. Oh well, like you said, at least we got Syaoran confessing to Sakura, imao. I expect this arc to offer something else... I'm not sure what it will be, but this arc better be heavily plot focused. Syaoran's involvement is really intriguing to me.
Oh, remember how I complained about how the characters look not like teenagers in this sequel? I take that back cause this link below explains how the entire school system works:
http://daburupurei.t...-ccs-characters
Sakura is like 12 right now, and Syaoran and Tomoyo should turn 13 soon. I'm kind of surprised to see how young they still all are, imao.

Well that is fine and all but it's not about what grade their are in, it's about comparing how they look now in junior high compared to how they were drawn back then, starting junior high. BEHOLD!!!!

I already read the manga, so I know what they look like at the end of the original manga, lol. The transition from mature to cutesy appearance is jarring to say the least, but what can you do? This manga is based on cuteness, so I guess maintaining their short height benefits the overall atmosphere of the manga.
