He's one of the best! The way he can adapt his voice... There's a reason why he earned several awards for his voice acting already.

Once you watch more animes with characters who have the same voice actor/ actress, you'll see why I'm always this baffled XD

For example: Did you know that Elizabeth has the same voice actress as (hold your breath) Touka Kirishima I was mindblown b/c Elizabeth sounds so... well, girly XD

Told ya. It's shocking. You'll hear the difference. Hard to believe it's the same voice actress... Her name is Sora Amamiya. She's only 21, so I'm always surprised to hear how young and talented one can already be. Oh, she's also a singer That is one of the reasons why I appreciate the Jap dub over the Eng dub...

More shockers:

Gilthunder has the same voice actor as Shuu Tsukishima: Mamoru Miyano ( my personal favorite)

King/Harlequin has the same voice actor as Lelouch vi Brittania & Toneri from the Last: Jun Fukuyama.

Helbram's TRUE form (so fairy form) has the same voice actor as Levi from AoT: Hiroshi Kamiya.

Diana's voice actor is the same as Madoko from that Puella series: Aoi Yuki

Arthur's voice actor is the same as Edward Elric and Hitsugaya: Romi Park

Merlin's voice actress is the same as Eto: Maaya Sakamoto

And the list goes on... I'm prob the only one who cares for this stuff XD I really love the Japanese language and its pronunciation. To see how the voice actors can be so versatile is amazing to me.

Well, mainly the fact the story literally focused on getting the sins and save the kingdom. So I guess we need to do it again?

The story's main focus is already over. Now we're entering a completely new territory that had nothing to do with the original premise.

 

All of the extra material really could have been solved in between the original plot.  But now it's the main focus of the story (Demon Clan, Fairy Forest, etc).  

 

It's not that I hate it. But I think it definitely could have been written better. Just my opinion.

I understand. I would say that this series does feel like it is a short lived one like below 400 chapters long. Unless we have super demon clan. But who knows for now. I do feel like it won't go that long. I mean we got a lot of characters already hitting their target point, including love. So yeah, not sure how this works.

That's true. Oh but let's look at King for a sec: Wouldn't it be downright horrible if King loses memory after this last battle and then he completely forgets about Diane like she forgot about him?   Now that would be a way to drag a story. But if that ever were to happen, I would probably give up this series in anger. Lol!

Almost done. Seems like we're exploring each sins' pov. I guess I called it right: demons for villains. It's expected if anything. At least it won't be a squash match anymore.

Maybe for being broken or pervert swayed the fans? I don't know. I didn't mind too much on top 5, but the votes are...strange. Elaine being before Elizabeth was odd but I don't know, maybe the fact she can at least offense. Then again, it was that side chapter that most likely sealed the deal. If she continues to surface, she will keep on being in the top. That and Elizabeth must do something. So far, she's like a white Mage, not much on battle but support can be great. In due time I guess.

I caught up and it's like a cooler before the real deal begins. I guess you can say it's all power up showcase chapters. Nothing bad but it's going to be a while perhaps for the real story begins.

Lmao. The fact that it's so predicable is kind of tragic, actually. It's no better than Sakura's novel at this point. Ban really did used to be one of my favorite characters, but I can't stand how his entire story revolves around Elaine now. Also he crossed the line when he tried to kill Melodias. 

 

But I want to get something off of my chest real quick. A lot of people don't understand why fans think Blaine is pedophilia. But the issue is not that Elaine is over 1000 years old- it's the fact that in the outside world (so not in universe) Blaine comes off as pedophilia. 

 

Is it just me or does Elaine look even younger than King?? And when compared to someone as tall in statue as Ban (who also carries a certain "aesthetic") it doesn't look...good. And it carries implications. Same way how whenever Melodias molests Elizabeth. It carries dangerous undertones.  

 

But another thing is this: King comes off as older than Elaine because he's more developed. He's just as complex as any other adult character in  the story. Same for Melodias, even though he's supposed to come off as a kid as well. We don't view them as "pedophilia" because that's not their demeanor. But with Elaine...she has the innocence of a 5 year old. And she's supposed to be this super "pure" figure within the story. That also downplays her true age in the story. 

 

With all of that being said, I'm actually warming up to Blaine, but I still don't like it. It's just that there's nothing at this point that will change it. It's already canon, so no point in debating it. At least it's more developed than Naruhina. :\

First of all, I don't dislike Ban as a character. He sometimes really surprises me and can get really deep. I guess I'm just not that big of a fan of him b/c he's a little bit too crazy for me. But he is the funniest sin member in my eyes (that flashback scene with the vampires was top notch XD).

However, the last straw for me was when Ban was trying to kill Meliodas. I was pissed. VERY pissed. That betrayal had left a bad taste in my mouth, and I'm still trying to recover from it. It is incomprehensible to me how he can betray his best friend whose company has spanned years. His relationship with Elaine looks pale in comparison to that. She barely knows him. And the fact that she was the FIRST one to accept him and view him in another light is a weak argument in my eyes. It could have been the other order around (first Meliodas, and then Elaine) for all I care, making Blaine look even weaker. Fine, Meliodas took an interest in Ban b/c of the latter one's immortality, but, eh, when you see someone shackled up in a prison cell, pity or so won't free him... What matters isn't the start, but what both Ban and Meliodas have gone through. That is way more significant than the little playtime b/w Ban and Elaine...

Blaine and pedophilic: Oh yes, I don't care about those "don't judge someone by their appearance" blablabla. It is not the height, ok? I'm 5'0 ft and am mistaken as a 13-yr old child until today... It's how innocent, childish-sounding (I hate her voice in the anime), naiv she seems.

But truthfully, all the romance is just too corny and cheesy in my eyes. Makes me wanna throw up (sorry, but I've read better romance in shoujos XD). But I guess it's romantic and done right for other individuals. Different preferences, I suppose.

Mind games is what matters here, I mean it's how you see it, but not how it really is, I guess what bothers you is how Ban comes into bad light here? Because you see, in any of his flashbacks, he didn't pictured in lust for Elaine even a bit, anything that was fan-service part - was triggered by Elaine, and you know, she reads mind, and didn't saw any bad thing in Ban. So what it is? That Ban is tall and Elaine is shortie, you say - no. Truth is both of them pictured as pretty pure persons, so I still can't see a problem clearly for me  But I see that you see a problem in here.

 

Btw, it's pretty intresting that both of girls ringed alarm here, but didn't say a word about Kings and Diane flashback or how Gowther practicaly used Guila even if it was unintentionally.

You have a point. We did turn it to a bad light, but I think it's because it's coming from a female perspective. It was one of the first things I noticed about Blaine, especially when looking at the official artwork:

If anything this is the worst picture of them all. It made me realize how much I don't like Blaine as a relationship. But also, the whole "fell in love in one week" and now he can't get over her forever thing is kind of...corny. But also, Elaine didn't see any bad in Ban but it's like...how? Ban does a lot of suspicious stuff that's still not excusable. So Blaine is another victim of bad romance writing. 

 

As for King and Diane, I didn't ship them either at first. I was more into Hauser and Diane because they seemed more natural and also, less pedo. But- at the time, King wasn't fully developed yet. Like I said before, King naturally comes off as older because of his personality- regardless of his height. Same with Melodias. And once I read the side story for King I became a full time DianexKing shipper. King spent...how many years with Diane? Over 100? That's why this ship is believable. He's actually been around Diane long enough to know her. 

 

Buuut- with that being said- I don't like the fact that King fell in love with her as a child. That still bothers me. It's honestly...disturbing in it's own right. I'm trying to look past it because it's still the most believable ship but I gotta call it out as I see it. 

 

Another Notp of mine is MelodiasxElizabeth. But that's gonna be another long post.  

 

And as for GuilaxGowther, I just thought it was horrid writing. The fact that Guila still liked him after all of that gave me Naruto romance vibes.   

 

I'm with Trang on this one. Every romance in this series is borderline creepy and cheesy. But if I have to choose a ship it would still be HauserxDiane. It's the only ship that doesn't have any downsides and potential to develop. But that's not happening so...
