And with that, I have yet to finish cleaning up the crap that is Volume 57. I haven’t even started with it yet. As for the special, this is it.
In short, Gintama isn’t ending just yet.
However, preparations for the ending [of the series] are currently underway.
Having said that, because the current story status turned crappy, someday, you’ll realize the connection of it all.
I want you all to enjoy my work without worrying when the series will end.
Also, this is what I want to do with the series.
Because that is what I am currently hoping to happen, I hope you’ll continue to cheer me on until the very end.

I've been seeing on youtube lot of discussions as to whether people can just start watching Gintama 2015 w/out ever having watched all the other 264 episodes before... Some are just lazy, but others gave up watching Gintama after 30 episodes or so b/c nothing happens for them. Worse is that some people who caught up with the anime and manga tell people that they can skip episodes that are not part of the serious arcs... Well, I'm glad I have tumblr b/c I know ahead of the time what will await me.

Relax, I'm only jumping around when it comes to the fun episodes (like episode 239 or the second episode of the new season) I haven't watched any of the serious arcs yet. That's my way of catching up XD
