From what I've been able to read, they do make a lot of sense and they coincide with the manga universe's known mechanics, history, and characters. They're also very inspirational for readers who feel discouraged or believe that the current circumstances are hopeless. So I'll read it too. Hopefully there was something overlooked that can add credence to the prospect of an actual happy ending. 

I believe I know where Kishi introduced the whole red-herring stuff.

There's a certain irony to the possibility that Kishi might have been using a red-herring to mislead his readers. Sorry, I might sound condescending or a know-it-all, but I refuse to believe until the movie will be out, to believe that I was right in every aspect in regards to this manga minus the pairings. I simply refuse.

Call me delusional, mentally challenged (got this one this weekend) or whatever, but I simply refuse to believe such a thing until the movie comes out and we get an explanation once and for all.

 

You pick on the fact that Kishi said he's embarrassed to write romance in the manga... Romance means kisses, hugs and kitten like that, excuse my language.

 

What were the undertones of this romantic aspect in the manga? Sakura holding Naruto in her arms more than once, Naruto and Sakura almost kissing, Naruto and Sakura actually kissing but made under a CPR moment cue Kishi's embarassment and whatnot.

He talks in such a way and they do things in such a way that you can apply it immediately to pairings such as NH and SS... but if you look underneath the underneath - the most recurring theme of this manga along the never giving up on hope attitude, a ninja's most valuable skill - it's always NS and SK.

 

You want to tell me that Kishi will marry Naruto with Hinata so that Sasuke can be with Sakura and throw away Karin UZUMAKI, mind you, his only living relative that he knows of at least?

 

Don't you guys get how much symbolism lies behind these two pairings? It would be also symbolical for NaruSasu pairing... a final Uzumaki and Uchiha union...

 

I see so many things underneath these all things that I can't help but cringe when I see others just throw them off like that... I know, indeed Kishi is the biggest troll writer I've ever seen, but in the end, he always made things well and logical...

For every big kaboom moment between SS and NH, we got one twice bigger between NS and SK.

But.. Chatte, can you tell me why The Last is called 699.5 and the last chapter, 700, has NH and SS becoming canon? I'm losing hope now but I don't want to. I mean, if IT is involved in the movie, why would Kishi end it at 700? PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK. I really want to know what you think about it. Oh, and do you think they were already under IT in chapter 699?

Soooo.... Underneath the underneath is the basis? I must admit, it would be in keeping with the original concept that defined this series. But several developments in recent years seem so obvious and uninspired that it can make someone believe that plainness and transparency are the new policies of Kishi. It can shatter one's perception of the author when his writing devolves by going into the completely opposite direction than it originally set out to do. 

 

Regardless of any heavy uncertainties, you do have my interest with this theory.

I don't know if this might be of any help but Kishi says he'll be writing extra Naruto chapters next spring. Not sure if it's Part 3 or another one.
