Yes I thought about that too. I thought that Kishimoto knows pretty well what he's doing. I think it's intentional on his part how we feel about Sasuke.

You are mistaking it my friend. I never said Sasuke has an advantage over Naruto. I have a problem with their portrayal. Basically, to sum it up, despite Naruto doing and having everything you and the others said, his character is never given justice. Like I said...some small display of power by Sasuke...everyone goes 'WOAAHHHH HE'S SO FAST/STRONG'. Same thing Naruto does and all we get is '!!' and this is valid when BOTH of them are concerned and together. Individually, Naruto gets a fair share of compliments and acknowledgment but when its both of them....Sasuke is always put on a pedestal

You think Sasuke "looks" like he has an advantage, but I don't think he "looks" like he does at all. Never did literally or "looked like he did."The only thing I see is Sasuke trying to use every trick in the book to beat Naruto and Naruto is either matching him or doing better. By the way, that isn't "looking" like he has an advantage...if people are talking and merely using word of mouth to describe his power than that is not visual, but audio. So in reality he only "sounds" like he has an advantage.

I would throw my two cents in, If there was any kitten I had left to give for this bullsh**.

 

I would much rather Naruto have someone who was actually worthy of being a FV, like Pain or even Obito, or Madara. People who put the fear of god into other people and nearly destroyed them morally.

 

Sasuke just seems like a massive whiny kitten compared to them, he literally plans on dragging the whole world down because he can't handle the fact that his family probably deserved to die.

Well, there are realistic reactions in here like everytime you see a God, it's not amazing anymore because you seen too many. In here, at least Naruto knows what Sasuke doing is idiotic and when he says it is, then you know it is.

I want to add my opinion to this discussion. I read your posts and you seem frustrated because you feel Naruto is still being portrayed as the underdog even after 695 chapters. However I don't believe this to be the case. 

 

Naruto is not shown as an underdog in this fight. Its just Sasuke being arrogant as usual-- " I am the strongest, most awesome ninja ever. Others are no match for me. I'm supreme, others don't matter. My power, My dreams, Me... Me... ME "-- Typical Sasuke attitude.

 

Just because Sasuke voices his usual bs DOES NOT make Naruto an underdog. This is what Sasuke does, he over-estimates his powers and under-estimates others.

 

Naruto hasn't even gotten serious. He is holding back. All he is focused on now is changing Sasuke's mind. You want proof that Naruto is not an under-dog in this fight? 

 

" When it comes to battle, I really do want to beat you. But, not the you in your current state ".

 

These words make it absolutely clear-- Naruto is not even giving his 100% to this fight. He is NO underdog here.

Come on now, the Whole Shinobi World acknowledges Naruto. Every single person in the leaf village and every one in the Alliance look up to Naruto. Everybody loves and respects Naruto. Sasuke? What does Sasuke have? The whole world considers him a Criminal. With the exception of a few, he is hated by all.

Sasuke or anything to do with Sasuke is always just people spewing hot air and I never take it seriously. Hell, Madara was a bigger threat than Sasuke is right now.

Sasuke is mistaken again. He thinks he is the most powerful shinobi...Okay, the Allied Shinobi was formed because they had the same enemy: Akatsuki. They defeated Akatsuki. But why Sasuke said Kaguya? Not the Allied Shinobi fought Kaguya, Team 7 fought and defeated Kaguya. Sasuke, you are not very smart!!
Same words, same flashbacks over and over again.
Naruto, how many times you said you want Sasuke back as a friend? 100 times?
Sasuke, how many times you said you want to kill your best friend but you didn't? Do it already!
Okay chapter, good action...but very repetitive with flashbacks!
I think chapter 699 will be titled: Naruto, the new Hokage!

This fight is literally nothing but a  boring waste of time forcing Kishi to write himself even more into a corner with a rushed ending.
