Not really. Its been this way since the very beginning. But the magnitude was not as high because they were just inexperienced and weaker rookies then. And time between consecutive scenes like today's was greater and there was story between. As we are now reading the war arc, it gets highlighted more. I remember Naruto as an academy student couldn't create a simple clone to graduate. But when he sees Iruka  in danger from Mizuki later, he suddenly manages to create hundreds of solid shadow clones which he supposedly learnt from reading some scroll. Kishi has always given sudden power-ups to every character in desperate situations.

But sudden power ups arent the only issue, what is the issue is that it contradicts what was written and shown before in the manga, it's inconsistent and incoherent, your example isn't even remotely comparable(and as far as I can remember Naruto trained all the afternoon and implied to Iruka he had mastered kage bunshin).

To me... it seemed like Sasuke didn't try all that hard to save Sakura, because Kakashi somehow beat his instant Rinnegan technique lol

He was pretending to do it for the sake of his boyfriend Naruto so he wouldn't get depressed but he loves Naruto so much so he decided to take his time and let Sakura wait in order to get Naruto only for himself       To bad Kakabito with his Susanito screw his plan  .

It's really a no win situation to be honest. Well maybe one way and that's it, well do nothing. I mean if the idea is temp power for the sake of the boss fight, fine but still it's hard to take it in. I understand that his life did depend on Sharingan, so him being good all the sudden would be ironically an asspull. I guess you can say we got greater one of the two asspull, so to speak. What's more strange is that due to the movie, you actually start to see how it can transition to what people may believe part 3 by doing training with normal eyes. It's strange to say the least.

I guess, but my viewpoint on things is if you are going to screw up anyway, might as well take the path that causes the least amount of damage.

I have to say....and I can't believe I am saying this....I actually agree with Nate on this one.

The highlights of this chapter for me were the nine Chou Bijuu Rasenshurriken of each tailed beast, and Naruto's hilarious quip of: *sees Susanoo save Sakura*  "Sasukeeehh-"  *looks next to him to see Sasuke is still there*  "ehhh. . . wait, who's that!?"

 

Yeah, the moment Obito said he had things left to do, I'm sure many picked up where he was going.  I'm not really going to try to analyze the logic, because with this kind of thing with the realm of souls and death, there's nothing logical about it in the first place.  You could say Kishimoto is taking advantage of that to pull this kind of thing off.  Still, I can still understand though taking previous incidents into account.  First, Obito wasn't able to physically materialize in the living world, because he is dead.  Rather, he sent his chakra to Kakashi, along with his conscious to be able to talk to him for a while.  Remember, we had the white plane, where both Kakashi and Obito were young.  Kakashi is able to use the Sharingan because of the chakra Obito lent him.  That chakra is temporary, so Kakashi has a limited time of being able to use it.  Obito even notes this.  Again, there's never going to be a accurate or logical explanation, but in these cases you don't expect them too.  I mean you can compare this with Dan going to Tsunade, and his kiss on the forehead restored her Byakugou,  There's also Minato being able to seal part of Kushina's chakra in Naruto so that she'll be able to see him and help him control the nine tails power.  Obito is just the latest case of intervention of the souls.  I don't know how Kakashi has the same Susanou as Sasuke's from recieving the sage's power though.  Now that I understand why people call an asspull.

14 pages already, wow, a lot of comments already. My thoughts are like everyone else, I didn't like this chapter.

 

First off, how the hell is this thing supposed to be completed by the end of this year for the wrap up movie when you have things like this happen.

 

Obito, who was dead, who had his little moment with Rin came back and had even more time in the panels. The last chapter was all about his send off, but Kishi can't seem to let things go. The last chapter was bad enough. 

 

This chapter also raises some questions, too. For example, if Obito was feeling bad and wanted to sacrifice himself, why didn't he just transfer the magical Sharingan powers to Kakshi in the first place?

 

And also, why when Naruto's attack hit Madara's mother did it turn into some kind of monster? 

 

This has gotten so crazy, every week there is something ridiculous coming out of nowhere.

 

 

From the moment this war arc started this Manga stop making any sense.
Orochimaru new personality.
Kabuto suden change of heart and random apearance to save Sasuke while giving him Hashi DNA.
Itachi power used against Kabuto.
BZ.
Karin.
SO6P talking with SN.
Kakashi spamim Kamui.
Madara beatdown against Guy.
Hashirama speech.
Naruto healing power.
Obito.
Sasuke.
Naruto.
Etc. Etc.
There ass being so many thing this late in the Manga that now what amaze me the most is people still having high expectation on this Manga whe the Manga it self stop making sense a long time a go.

At this piont I just want to see how this Manga ends.

Sometimes it is not what it is, but rather its execution and this execution was extremely sloppy. It would have been at least easier to swallow if kakashi was actually given Obito's sharingan back through more practical means

 

You know what's funny? I think Sakura is more relevant than Sasuke at this point. Despite Sasuke having to be one of the keys to "lock away" Kaguya, he is still nothing more than a object rather than a character.

I agree and Disagree; Given that Sasuke has (unfortunately) driven the plot ( nearly into the ground) for the vast majority of the run, he's more relevant to the plot since everything Naruto and Sakura have achieved  stems from their attempt to regain the Sasuke of Team 7. But he still gets a kitten ton of time devoted to his boring ass wank fest.

Meanwhile the majority of the time Sakura gets into the plot and starts to do/say something someone throws their arm down and cuts in. (Its usually Kakashi or Naruto.)
 

I do agree that Sasuke is more like an object then a person though--When he talks no one really listens, not the characters and not even the majority of the audience for that matter.

Yeah, I supposed. I guess the idea is find a way to use susanoo and the excuse is Obito. Again, I only see no special eyes but somehow be top tier or have them to do the top tier stuff (Susanoo). Say if this chapter went the same route only Kakashi doesn't get the eyes. What's he going I do? Be incredibly super fast with normal eyes? So yeah, it's like "How the hell he's all that strong with no Sharingan?!" vs. "How the hell does he even do that from Obito?" I guess he decided the temp side, but the first and perhaps lasting impression will be devastation.

I don't think I will be able to get over this kitten in a short amount of time especially the Kakashi being the 6-th Hokage WTF  . I wonder now after how long will Naruto gonna become Hokage now since Kakashi is only 30 and something so I guess when Naruto is in his 50's and he was supposed to surpass his father even in becoming the youngest kage , this manga will never end .

I guess you are right. The problem is I don't feel like he is relevant simply because the story doesn't flow with it. Instead it is just kind of a forced relevance that the story literally moves our head to face meanwhile we want to look somewhere else.

We literally couldn't care less about Sasuke at this point in time no matter how "relevant" or "important" the plot tries to make him

Im just wondering what kind of excuse Kishi will use to delay NS after the war....there really shouldn't be anything in the way anymore

-Sakura loves Naruto and she's conscious of it
-Naruto loves Sakura
-Kishi flat out told us NS is endgame in 504 and 631
-Sakura doesn't love Sasuke anymore
-Naruto no longer is burdened by the PoaL

so...what gives? Do you guys think he'll resolve NS or will he delay it till the end of the second timeskip?

this is not kakashi. It is the Kakashi possessed by Obito's soul. The ass pull is only temporarly in fact. That Susanoo belongs to Obito. Once again, it's Obito who is tryng to save the world, along the Kakashi's body.

also do you still remember the promise to Rin from Obito? "He will save the world and will become hokage!" Well, i dunno if he is doing all this straight away but he is giving his soul to Kakashi in order thos give him the sharingan so he could protect his comrades and the world. Also Kakashi could became the new Hokage.... ironic, isn't? It would be like Obito kept his promise to Rin.

Honestly, I see no problem with Kakashi being the sixth hokage. Naruto won't be ready for a while, and Kakashi was already very close to being nominated to the position earlier before Tsunade woke up, making him already identified to be fairly qualified for the position.

I agree with this, I think Kakashi will be the Hokage to rebuild the Leaf then pass a fully functional city to Naruto. After the war, the best thing to do would be to give someone with experience the chair.
