Bin Laden never changed his ideology or actions. He didn't die saving anyone. Obito took the shot meant for Naruto and this is the second time he saved his life ( the Kurama restoration). Or Naruto wouldn' be anymore. He also could have used Kamui to save himself but he used to save others. If anything Naruto is not a thankless guy. He understands kindness and and empathy comes naturally to him.

As for Obito wanting to be hokage bit- don't forget that, that one dream was kind of ruined because Obito was trapped in by BZ and Madara and manipulated. A war they abetted and lies they used to play with Obito. After all this BZ saying those things about Obtio- Obito may deserve to hear it from the people he hurt, but BZ is not the person to have any right to speak anything about him. He was behind it all. 

It was not friendship power up - as much as an adrenalin rush also known as epinephrine or the “fight or flight” hormone. When faced with a stressful situation, the human body immediately prepares itself to respond, either to fight or fly. Naruto didn't even did that much of extraordinary thing. He was been showing the power for a few pages at least and fighting Kaguya one on one for sometime, his speed has been gradually increasing for a long time even before he joined the war ( it was even predictable somewhat). Chakra boost was from the So6P. So how come you bring it down to Fairy tail level?

At the end of the day Naruto did what he always did. What he learnt from Itachi and Nagato- accepting the losses and look to the future and break the cycles. Focusing what's important at the current moment. Past is only to learn lesson but the baggage is not worth holding on to.


And what about Ssasuke? He killed many while training under Oro and then some when he was after kages. Obito just brought back Sasuke from another dimension. And he didn't thank him either. A verbal apology to Sasuke would not matter much. Sasuke wasn't expecting any just like Obito didn't expect any gratitude either under circumstances.

You find all the excuses for Sasuke and yet angry at Obito. Even picking on Naruto as if his battle-smartness is brand new trope just introduced today.

Let's face it the bit hurting you most was Sasuke being projected as second to lead Naruto. Manga is Naruto. It was bound to happen at some point. It's not like Sasuke is not cool guy anymore. Tobirama played decoy back then not because he was least capable of them all. So take it easy
 

When you start down the biased mode you not only ruin the enjoyment of the manga .

Meh, still can't find it in me to feel bad for Obito. Kishi's tried very hard to make readers feel sympathy for this character, but I just can't. I don't care how "manipulated" or "lost" he was, tell that to the people he killed. He never even expresses any regret for the people who died because of him, only that he never became Hokage. Yeah, poor Obito.    And Naruto's "he was the coolest guy" line was ridiculous, but I can't say I expect any less from Kishimoto.

There is a middleground. Naruto shouldn't have agreed with what Zetsu said, but that doesn't mean Obito is the coolest guy all of a sudden.

 

"I know Obito did a lot of mistakes that can not be undone, but he changed and saved us, he died for us". He could've said that. Acknowledge that he started this war in the first place, and be thankful that he changed sides.

Obito got a nice send off, giving his last word to Naruto and Kakashi, and meeting up with Rin in the afterlife.  He probably didn't deserve such an end as it was on his own terms, but in my opinion, that's what makes all the more heartwarming.  That someone who who committed unspeakable evil could be redeemed in the end, and die protecting the hope to stop what he helped unleashed as penance.  I enjoyed this chapter.

It was wierd, on one side I felt angry at the Black Zetsu's words, on the other side I agreed with him completely, Obito was scum up until the last hour of his life. as heartwarming as Obi-Rin scene was part of me wanted to see her slap him first for being an idiot, no matter how you look at it, he was responsible for countless deaths, and he did murder Kushina, Minato you could argue was self sacrifice to seal Naruto away but Kushina was dieing due to Obito's actions. He was scum.

 

Naruto was pretty badarse at the end, Sasuke's there fighting a losing battle, Naruto gets super pissed and managed to move at immence speed and cut her arm off. Though I bet when the Black Zetsu starts badmouthing again he'll give Sasuke the credit and call Naruto weak, because we all know that every single enemy has to praise every little thing Sasuke does even though he will ultimately fail, and belittle Naruto by calling him weak compared to...Sasuke/Minato/Typical Uzumaki/Hashirama.

I wonder if we'll see Obito in the next chapter. If not then ObiRin will never be confirmed. How can you call it canon if you have no clue by Rin that she loved him in the afterlife. Saying "let's go" and grabbing his hand isn't going to confirm ObiRin for me. Even if I do ship it.

Doubt you see obito anytime soon.

Maybe kakashi wil see then in the end of the show like StarWars or somthing but i doubt that even.

I don't know, I'm not saying anything until the raws come out to see what he really said(could be mistranslated)

I don't think Naruto is saying 'the coolest", maybe it's a mistranslation. But really, even if Naruto said "the coolest", I understand the feeling Kishi wanted to gave us. Just don't flip about this. It's just Naruto being Naruto.

 

Naruto is judging by the INTENTIONS a characters has. He easily forgets about ACTIONS if INTENTIONS are beautiful.

So late reply, but here it goes. 

 

Not responsible for what he did? Was he under mind control? No. He knew what he was doing. He knew what he was doing at every point. He threw away every moral and belief that he had just by seeing Kakashi kill Rin. Did he ever investigate? Or ask Kakashi a question? Or try to find his own path? No. He simply went along with whatever Madara told him without even questioning it. 

 

He was mainly responsible for the death of Naruto's parents and plenty of other Konoha ninja. Not to mention all of the innocents. He's taken the lowest road there is. 

 

And Naruto's response bothers me because he now shows idolization to this guy, and he never really learned anything from it. It was just another redeemed villain with a tragic backstory.

I read the MS translation, and Naruto just said Obito was "awesome", was the MP translation different?

Well, I wouldn't go that far.  Obito is responsible for his own actions.  He was the who killed Neji and countless other SA members.  Naruto hasn't forgotten that either.  I agree that Obito was "awesome" in his own way as someone who shared the same dream as Naruto, and someone who spent most of his life in darkness only to again be able to come into the light again.  However, that's not to go so far to say he's blameless, as that would lose the meaning of his entire redemption.
