serious stuff.... Are the Naruto's healing powers a sorta temporary powers? Because the way that I get in this chapter is that Obito has some limited time....

 

I think it's because Obito lost Juubi. Naruto regenerated his body, but he can't stop the death process IMO.

For Gai, he was going to die because his heart point was leaking chakra. Naruto stopped it so Gai won't die.

For Kakashi, Naruto created a new eye, so I guess it's permanent.

Alright, can we just all clap for Obito for a second? That last line of his was utterly fantastic and really cemented the idea that he's committed to the cause, to redeeming himself. 

And it seems that Sakura's actually relevant once again...Not a bad chapter. Although I'm laughing that ONCE AGAIN the story boils down to team 7 chasing Sasuke to high hell...

The only thing I want to say now is this. Kishi if you're reading this (which I know you're not, but let's say by some miracle you are) please for the love of God, do not screw this up. Don't make Sakura doubt herself, don't make Sasuke saying she's useless or any other nonsense.

Have her do something useful, don't just give us the illusion that she's going to do something and then never actually doing it.

He also shouldn't have Sakura do something productive and then immediately fade back into the background and become a commentator or simply not appearing on panel at all. I can't stand this kittening trend he does with Sakura. He'd rather rehash some garbage Naru/Sasu dialogue with parallels and the almost non-existing bond.

i'd be very happy if Sasuke stayed away forever but its not going to happen. So its better to find enjoyment in the little things. You don't think that its amusing that nearly half the story has been about them getting Sasuke back--they finally had him and now they've lost that idiot again?

We all know Naruto doesn't care tho. Usually I would think he's focusing on the task at hand, but if I know him right that's not the case. I wouldn't mind if he just began to see the bigger picture, but this manga really tries to end hate and I'm not a fan of that. It's a completely natural feeling, just like love.

He also doesn't seem to be bothered that Obito murdered Neji right in from his face for the purpose of making him feel emotional pain.

Water under the bridge. And Minato doesn't care that he got roped in because he didn't dedicate his life to Obito's personal romantic pursuits.

We didn't like Neji that much anyway.

This chapter was very good.  It was a build-up chapter, if anything, and it had a lot of good panels.  Naruto is having more trouble against Kaguya and her world itself, especially now that Kaguya successfully seperated him and Sasuke, who is believed to be in a another dimension.  It seems to be case since Naruto can no longer sense him at all with Sage mode.  Obito wakes up, and Naruto uses this chance to tell everyone about the Hagoromo, Kaguya and the seal, while they head to his original body.  Once there, Obito will use his Kamui to sync to Kaguya's space time technique to go to where Sasuke is and bring him back.  However, he needs more chakra than what he currently has, so Naruto's clone and Sakura have to tag along to provide him what he's lacking.
 
Again, it was a build-up chapter.  Still, I liked seeing more of Obito, and his return from darkness so to speak.  At the very end, he spoke of this isn't the time for sophisms, but here's one anyone, "Let me walk in front of you and die".  According to Merriam Webster, a sophism is an argument apparently correct in form but actually invalid; such an argument is used to deceive.  This statement seems to be Kishimoto speaking himself to the readers, telling us that Obito's last line is basically not to be taken seriously.  In other words, Obito's really going to die from this.  I guess Kishimoto noticed how repetitive this was getting with Obito having gone through quite a few things things that should have killed him, but he keeps getting saved, and now he looks to have another brush with death, and Kishimoto's not leaving it to interpretation anymore.  He's directly telling us he's not going to die from it.  It's a intentional sophism.
 
Sakura having not used her Byakugou seal chakra was for a reason, and here it is.  She's giving it to Obito for the jump.  That means she'll give away all the chakra she stored for three years at once, but it's necessary. I might sound shallow for this, but I for one am glad she'll finally lose that diamond mark on her forehead.  She looked too much like Tsunade's clone with it.  Also, nothing should be imprinted on that wide forehead that Naruto loves .

 

A lot of emphasis has been put on this seal, but still, so much emphasis on it makes it more likely to fail.  Kaguya is well prepared this time.  Not to mention, there's a chance that if it does succeed, it's only a temporary solution.  I mean Hagoromo and Hamura did the same thing, and look what happened.  Sure, it took a very long time, but still, what's to stop her from releasing Black Zetsu again, and have history repeat itself.  Also, I'm surprised that half of Madara that Sasuke cut off is still around. Not to mention, Hagoromo can use it to project himself in spirit form to talk to the Hokages.  Looking forward to next week.

Yeah true and his body stayed burnt. Naruto did nothing against that.
The point of the 8 gate was opening the heart gate, so I think in a way Naruto close it so Gai won't die.

She's just giving her chakra to Obito.  Don't get me wrong.  I'm glad she gets to do something, but this isn't something to get really worked over.  I'd save it for when she does something extremely well.  It's not impossible, you know.

 

By that way, I like your avatar.  It's based on that Samurai cover from chapter 616, right?

 

Can't wait for the chapter where Obito officially drops dead.

I don't want to get my hopes too high, but it would be such a good opportunity for Obito to confirm the parallel between his team and Team 7. After all, Team 7 in action in front of Obito, what would you expect apart from a parallel aknowledgment? But as I said, I don't want to get my hopes too high, so I prefer to expect no parallel confirmation from Obito. It's been like months that we are waiting for that parallel confirmation, it wouldn't be the first time we say "I'm sure next chapter will confirm OR/NS".

 

Also, it's byakugou seal not hyakugou. I don't know why MP says it like that. In the volume 66, it is written in hiragana next to the kanji びゃくごう= びゃ: "bya"く: "ku" ごう: "gou"

 

Haven't we had enough though?  It was kind of obvious since the Gaiden chapters that Minato's team paralleled Team 7.

 

Also, thanks for the clear up regarding the Byakugou.  Now, I got to edit my post.
