That chapter felt so short ! I just want to read what's next.... it's hard to wait a week again...

 

I'm not surprised about Sasuke's current state, and I still think Kishimoto is doing it on purpose.

Mangastream is again very very different about the translation. I stick to Mangapanda.

 

I didn't understand the whole part in which Naruto remembers the time in which Sasuke saved him and said "my body moved on its own" and then he repeats the same thing and Sakura thanks him. What is the link between Sasuke's act back then and Naruto repeating his sentence. Did Naruto saved someone in this chapter before saving Sakura and Kakashi? Or is he implying that Sasuke saved Kakashi and Sakura because his body moved once again on its own to save them?

 

IMO, Naruto said this to Sasuke because he knows somewhere deep down inside him there is still that guy that saved him on that bridge.

He was able to explain to Naruto what Kakashi has done , so to me, it's proving that he checked for it. He saw Kakashi/Sakura/Obito was going to be saved.

It feels weird because Kishi is making it clear that Sasuke only wants to save Naruto to avoid world's end, but at the same time, he is making it subtle that Sasuke might still cares even if he doesn't say so. It's like Naruto is seeing through him, just like he's done with Obito.
To me, it feels like Sasuke is giving priority to the goal, even if it means loosing some of his former comrades, and I think he's forcing himself to be cold. I think deep down inside there is turmoil, and I think Naruto will uncover it sooner or later.

I think Kishi is planning to make team7 smile together again at the end, so all of this makes perfect sense.

 

Also, it's pretty interesting to see the fear on Sakura's face when Naruto seemed to think cold like Sasuke. She wasn't expecting something like that from Naruto at all. She's like "no, not Naruto".

 

What's weird, this is that Sakura seems to knows what Sasuke said to Naruto on the bridge in the past. She wasn't there.

 

Oh so she was thanking him, because he had anticipated Sasuke's reaction towards Naruto, because Naruto knew Sasuke would once again protect him, so he asked Sakura and Kakashi to stay by his side, so they would also indirectly be protected by Sasuke's susanoo. Did I get it right?

 

IMO, she is thanking Naruto because he always save her and care about her while Sasuke seems not.

I don't think Naruto knew that Sasuke wanted to save him back then. He even said to Sasuke to not come down that fast. Naruto didn't understand what Sasuke was doing at that time.

What Naruto was agreeing to wasn't them being useless in this fight (They are) But the fact that if either Naruto and Sasuke died, Kaguya wins and mankind is destroyed. Naruto just teased him with a words of the past, and Sasuke couldn't refute it since those are his very own words.

 

 

I still think Sasuke is a pansy a** though. When he said that he saved Sakura and Kakashi because they were closer to Naruto, he meant it back when the Infinite Tsukuyomi was being cast. In the case of the lava, Sakura and Kakashi were no where near Naruto. He looks like he has grown to become not like Itachi, not like Thirds parent to which he was named, but ironically like Danzo, the guy who ordered the extermination of his own clan.

Okay, I see where all the hate is coming from, but sadly I feel people forgot that again this is not Sakura's fight. I know people want Sakura to be more and punch out Kaguya or something, but I never expected that which I feel some people do.

Like Naruto, I understand what people mean by this, but reality is is that this was never meant to be Sakura's fight. It doesn't make her weak. That's just a product of you guys expecting something knowing full well it was going to be Naruto and Sasuke the one to finish the fight. Im sorry, but it is. I have said countless times that I never expected Sakura to fight this battle.

She is NOT the main character. This is NOT her story. It's supposed to be Naruto's story, but people are acting like Sakura should be the center of attention and fight all the battles winning them all. Whose name is on this manga? That's like reading a Superman comic and expecting Lois Lane to beat Brainiac.

Look at other Shonen just like this one: Ruroni Kenshin. Kaoru is a strong warrior that is the successor to her father's dojo, but she still gets kidnapped. She still gets her ass handed to her from time to time. She does fight other people, but they are merely mini-boss battles. Meanwhile Kenshin is fighting people like Lord Shishio. Did anyone here expect Kaoru to just come out of no where and start beating up Shishio?

So I guess this makes Kaoru weak right? I guess Kaoru is useless and pathetic because she can't beat Lord Shishio or even land a hit on him.

Look at Trigun with Vash and Meryll. Meryll has her moments in the sun and she can kick ass, but when it comes to major boss battles she is not even near them or she is in trouble where Vash has to save her. Does this make her weak? I get people want Sakura to do more. I get that we wanted to really see her push the limits of her abilities, but really this is the final boss battle more or less. It's not meant to be her victory.

Kishimoto made Hinata look so pathetic to where she actually has negative development. She gets taken out by a rock. A ROCK, but I don't see many of you complaining about that. I don't see many complain about how Ino hasn't developed at all either.

Really this chapter sums up this fanbase in a nutshell

You have the Sasukes who keep saying she is worthless and weak, she doesn't do anything, and she is better off somewhere else and then you have the Narutos who are saying "she is not useless or weak, but it's not her fight. She has done some great things and she has strived to be the best that she can. I love her for it even if she can't always stack up. Even if this can't do anything this fight it doesn't mean she is useless." Then you guys have the audacity to say "Well, we are not bashing." Yes, you are. You have done nothing, but bash her every step of the way in this war.

It's not enough that Sakura has done good things in her whole career....she has to do more. She has to punch out Cthulhu to prove her worth. I don't like Sakura because she was the best...I like Sakura because despite everything people put on her, she still manages to overcome. Yeah, she is emotional from time to time, but then again so is Sasuke and Naruto who probably are the biggest pansies in this entire manga. Should I fault them for it; every time Sasuke sulked over his brother or every time Naruto sulked over Sasuke?

You know, Kakashi and Obito were right: "Those who break the rules are trash, but those who abandon their comrades are worse than trash!"

I guess Sasuke is worse than trash since he is so willing to sacrifice anyone and anything to get what he wants. Even if that means the people who call him friend. Kind of funny how things come full circle and at one point in time Kakashi used to be just like Sasuke.
 

 

 

I am not putting pressure in her, fighting-wise.  , I would like to see her fully developed 'Sakura', since she is the character with the 'most human value'. I still love to see if she gets something more. i think she will, not anywhere soon. That will be an added bonus.

@James the reason I think that many are wondering right now what is the whole point in Sakura and Kakashi being there. Just to watch and be saved? And most of all....why Sakura's headband! Something which exposes her forehead and her seal? Maybe it will be easier for chakra transfer? Maybe the headband was coming in middle of the forehead and Naruto's lips? Was it due to this that it was Sakura's headband of all?

 

Kishi choose the headband because it makes them appear vulnerable to the lava.

That's why he didn't just make a rock fall down.

When it's something that belongs to you, you appear more involved in the risk of death.

Don't you feel bad while looking at Kakashi and Sakura hanged over the lava ? When Sakura's headband is falling, it's even more bad. It's frightening.

I think Kishi wants the reader to fear for the characters.

Obito is just hanged by one small kunai in his hand, and Kakashi is attached to a very weak system of one kunai and one scroll of paper. All that above lava. LOL

I have a feeling the fandom will take Sasuke's because they hate Sakura and Kakashi. The irony of the western fans supporting the negative character over the positive one, while obviously the Japanese fans support Naruto.

Anything to hate on Sakura.

 

For crying out loud men " I understand "and "I agree" is not the same there is a difference , Naruto said that he understand his POV not that he agreed with it his whole speech was him refuting Sasuke's POV and it was never about them being useless or not it was about Naruto not sacrificing his life for them which again he refute that completely  . Plus this does not fit well when one page before that he was impressed with Kakashi and praised him . You guys are making Naruto so OOC he would never agree to that why are you guys avoiding the previous chapters and the Kakashi thing in this one as well as Sakura's "Thank You" ?  

Yes "I understand" and "I agree" are not the same thing. However Naruto understands and agrees with Sasuke that Sakura and Kakashi are nothing in this battle. But at the same time Naruto will save them regardless if they are useless or not because he cares about them hence the "My body moves on it's own". Naruto acknowledged that only Sasuke and himself are capable to fight against Kaguya.

And I'm not making Naruto's character OOC. That's Kishimoto himself because once again he shows that Naruto is the ultimate fanboy when it comes to Sasuke.

Naruto putted Sasuke on a pedestal. It's similar to what Hinata did with Naruto, however Hinata is a insignificant side character that doesn't matter at all. So no one really cares. Naruto on the other hand is the bloody main character and he kisses Sasuke ass. 

For example I wouldn't be surprised at all when Minato makes his appearance and Sasuke will see him and says "Fourth Hokage you have no arms you're now a loser"; Naruto will look at his father and say this "Father, Sasuke is right you are a loser". And this is the problem with Naruto's character. He's to fixated on Sasuke. And whatever Sasuke says is law. A humongous chunk of part 2 was dedicated to Naruto chasing after Sasuke, and how Sasuke is somehow the key to everything.

This is where Kishimoto screwed up.

How come Sasuke's hawk summon was not affected by IT when all humans and animals were?

 

Because the summonings comes from other worlds/dimensions.

 

I believe that basically, since they are inside a volcano, they are basically in a place where light cannot reach, which would also explain why our heroes (Sakura, Kakashi and Naruro were not affacted either once they were out of the Susanoo. My question now is, which is that temple/house in the outer middle part of that volcano?

 

No, no, it's just that the light stopped.

And when the light stopped, Sasuke opened the Susanoo that was protecting them.

Sakura has only 1 battle in a manga with over 600 towars 700 chapters?! Really?! And then all the things she's supposedly good at put to rest? It was stressed by Tsunade that they aren't JUST medical ninjas. Tsunade had a great fight this war but all Sakura gets is few punches? Come on, we both know the balance is off, even just a bit and that things could be WAY MORE INTERESTING!

How are you going to explain Sakura's disappointed face then? It had nothing to do with Sasuke's words at the moment, but everything to do with Naruto's reactions after what Sasuke said. And Naruto's reaction was, "I understand." 

 

In a sense, yes. She should be grateful. Protecting her with a Susanoo, and from the Juubi Clones was generous enough. Not to mention, she hasn't done anything yet to benefit Sasuke but continuously be a burden to him. 

 

She has too high expectations of Sasuke, and it's really odd, considering she believes he should care for her, when she herself outright tried to deceive him to kill him. All the murder attempts Sasuke has done towards Sakura, was initiated by Sakura herself. And she expects a guy she tried to kill, protect her and care for her? She has made herself his enemy. He's already done enough and more than was expected. Be real, Sakura.

I understand in no way means that I agree, Naruto is basically admitting that focusing on his friend is something that can get them kill and there goes the last hope of humanity but at the same time he made it clear that he will never abandon those he care for, the same way Sasuke dint abandon those he cares for bad then.

 

Middle statement of your post, I just roll my eyes and last part of your post I agree.

kitten Tumblr and the sites I still can't understand this God Forsaken Fandom who still defends Sasuke's actions after everything that Sasuke has done : In Cold blood left Sakura and Kakashi to  Die twice , watched Sakura get stabbed in cold blood with no reaction what so ever ,  Tried to Kill her 3 times with no remorse in cold blood again. And after all of this i'm supposed to believe that Sasuke is a Tsunder who deep deep deep deep down keeps hiding his emotions  ? Say what   . No matter how cold you are as a person if some person is dear to you and care for her those feelings would subconsciously arise when he/she's in danger . The fact that  Sasuke hasn't reacted to all of this means he doesn't care at all or he does but not very very much its a tiny sliver of care and that's not any better at all . Why is this so hard to understand  why make Sasuke a Tsundere and put him feels that he doesn't have  ​.

I think these two images are a perfect example to how Kishi views Sakura (at least for the moment).

Yes, he did. It's clear when you see Sakura's face when he agreed to Sasuke.

 

Edit: It's also part of the reason why I'm so surprised with this fandom, acting as if this chapter was positive for NS, just because Kishi repeated the anti-SS, like always. To me, it was one of the biggest anti-NS moments. Well, that's just my opinion. 

 

To me, you are misunderstanding it.

Naruto never agreed that Sakura and Kakashi were useless.

Naruto just said that he was understanding Sasuke's point.

At that moment, Sakura felt shocked, and just after, Naruto is saying that he will always save them no matter what.

The argument is all about caring or not for comrades. It's not about debating if they are useful or not.

Will Kishi ever explin why Sasuke has both a Snake and Hawk summoning contract? Were the Hawks that impressed with him changing his team name to Hawk that they just randomly gave him the contract? Also aren't Snakes and Hawks natural enemies? I thought Snakes prey on Hawks and well Snakes wouldn't have an issue eating one if they managed to kill one.

 

See Sasuke look at Naruto he even saved your Hawk, a animal he has no emotional attachment to, yet you are willing to let everyone apart from Naruto die because he is the only one useful to you.

 

I feel like i'm beating a dead horse when SasuSaku is concerned but even now I can't think that 100% that pairing is dead, I'd still put it at 85% dead right now. I can't see it go 100% dead until we are shown Sakura realising her feelings for Naruto.

 

Good chapter non the less, I do wonder when Sasuke mentioned that he was the Yin Chakra and Naruto was Yang (something which we've known for ages) I couldn't help but remember a giant mass of Yin chakra that is sealed inside Naruto right now, I wonder if that will come into play for when Naruto gets is next upgrade. It's sad that Naruto is at Godly levels right now and I still think he's going to get another upgrade.

Probably I need to disagree with that. The IT was working due to 'moonlight' until it diminished, if it is still working, T7 won't come out of Susanoo. Which means, regarding of place, as long as the moonlight shone brightly, they will be caught.

Finally, like I have said, this manga ain't over, so I'll just enjoy the ride. There's always the chance for Sakura to get something new just like there is not, but that's why we believe, just like it was said on The Matrix Revolutions (I didn't know, but I believed).

There is definitely a reason why Kakashi and Sakura are there, I just know it. It's not a coincidence that the original team 7 are there. Perhaps TEAMWORK is key to defeating Kaguya. Seriously, Sakura and Kakashi have significance (or at least I'm putting faith in them).

I think Kishi not intending on beating the dead horse by adding more and more gunshots towards it. Looks like one, but not necessarily direct or intentional. It is just people around are desperate to keep it alive for their ideals.
