Depends on how you look at it. It's definitely a modern day version of it, since this series often get polled in Japan such as couple, cute girl to go out, etc.Does this make Nisekoi inferior version of ichigo 100%?

Well, both follow the same mysterious girl even if we already know who are the girl with strawberry panties while Nisekoi is more like love hina in term of mystery girl, But then again love hina heroine is pretty much unchallenged.Depends on how you look at it. It start with love triangle with girly girl vs tomboy and end with the tomboy who happen to be a tsundere become canon.
I put ichigo 100% much higher because how much well written it's even for a shonen jump romcom manga. But it kinda unfair from me to make that comparison since I don't read Nisekoi as a whole.
Yup, for me it's clear that she support NS since she put a drawing of naruto and sakura plushy together when she could use team seven or naruto and sasuke.
The same could be said with the author of blade of immortal, even if he put kaguya silhouette in the background, there's no reason for him to put naruto, sakura, jiraiya, and tsunade. I mean he could just put Hinata or temari or most girl instead of those guy.
While kishi draw just manji and the villain (no heroine).

I'll say this much: When Komi (Nisekoi) put his A game, it can be really good as well. It's just I can sense that he was told to stretch out the story and it suffers from lack of progress and many circle that leads nowhere. It's like he wanted to make a gag manga than a romcom with already established goal. I guess you can think of him as Mashima, where you know he can write if he put his A game on, especially with his past history.Well, both follow the same mysterious girl even if we already know who are the girl with strawberry panties while Nisekoi is more like love hina in term of mystery girl, But then again love hina heroine is pretty much unchallenged.

I do think he has well enough fan base to the point his old work was in the popularity poll. I feel that his fans really wanted his old work to continue, but unfortunately got cancelled and no one seems to know why.

No idea, never read Ichigo 100%, I saw the first episode and wasn't interested. Did Ichigo keep on repeating the same idea's over and over again? with Nisekoi, my frustration mainly stemmed from that, I could deal plotless fillers, as long as they didn't keep on repeating the same idea's. I actually like plotless Slice of Life manga's.
The seven or eight months has been really fun to read, one of the manga's I looked forward to reading the most, before that you know the mangaka was just stalling the manga to prolong the life of the manga, I just wish he'd added a bit more variety.

His double art manga is good and interesting, too bad it doesn't get popular and get axed. That's why I said I couldn't really judge it since I don't read Nisekoi. But I can make prediction since from what I get, it follow the same formula with the other romcom shonen manga.
Imo, that's the nature of romance story. Romance story rarely that long, especially the romcom shonen manga. The general goal of romance story is when two hearths become one, you can prolong it but you can't keep it forever or else people will lose interest unlike advanture/action story.
@harry
You should read the manga, I recommend it.
I don't get the repeating the same idea over and over again.
You can try yotsuba, it's a great slice of life manga.
In the hand of skilled writer, a filler could be as interesting as the main story.

In my opinion it is. I like how most of the characters grew and had other goals besides winning the guy.Does this make Nisekoi inferior version of ichigo 100%?

Yeah, I dont know why it got axed. Many said it could have been really good if given chances. Nisekoi, similar to Black Clover, is something many are very familiar with, though Komi does it good job to pull a twist here and there, something to derived itself from very usual formula. I mean overall it's similar, but the journey has parts that was like "Oh that was a fun twist."@touken

Because of familiarity, it's easier for people in Japan to get into, hence why it is popular and successful than his last work. Some work can be axed just because it's really not good, but some are axed because target audience don't get it. That's why I don't like the system that WSJ has.

It probably didn't get the chance to gain popularity, you see it happen with manga's from new mangaka's that have a slow start, and things don't get kicked into gear until later by which time it's toolate, the manga hasn't gained enough popularity and has gotten the axe. It happens in the entertainment industry all the time, specially TV.
We may never know, I didn't even realise the manga existed until recently when one of the charactors's got ranked 10 in Nisekois popularity poll.
Who knows that poll may get the manga a revival after she managed to get more votes than Raku.

Please dont judge the manga based the anime. Like Rocci I also recommend it. The anime is possibly the worst anime I've ever seen and does no justice for the manga.

I'd take back all the kitten I said about the company if they do this.
The family that couldn't be.

Seriously, it sucks when WSJ axe series with great potentials. The ones that got big in the past is lucky to come out on the right time.

I heard about the spoilers. Seems they will go for a cheap time skip were they stay apart for a contrieved reason just so they can meet at the end after a couple of years.

Well, knowing the story, that was expected. Spoiler is out? Hm. Anyway, ending is next week with 25 pages. I can't believe this is ending on a better note than Bleach.I heard about the spoilers. Seems they will go for a cheap time skip were they stay apart for a contrieved reason just so they can meet at the end after a couple of years.

Not surprising considering there is still a big question mark over what career path they will choose, and how they will deal with their family situation, will they take control of it, or somehow pass over control to someone else.
I always found this strange how the head two criminal organisations and the police commisioner were all friends or atleast knew each other atleast. Though I find it strange how Manga tends to romantasize crimilnal organisations like the Yakuza and the Mafia.

Will you enjoy it if onodera win it?Nisekoi is ending next week with extended pages. Truth be told, I know the problems and I can understand clearly...but I'll be lying if I say I didn't enjoy it. I won't cry over it but I will try out his next work.

@alexander
I think that's just a rumor since it's so ichigo 100% ending.
@harrye
Because there's a romanticism with yakuza itself like Italian mafia unlike other gangster Organisation such as hongkong triad.

This weeks chapter was more about them follwing their dreams and setting up for the timeskip so not really much to say.
The chapter reminded me of a Teenage drama from the late 80's early 90's called The Wonder Years, the way it ended was with Kevin and Winnie confessing then Winnie leaving on a plane to Paris (I think) to fulfil her dreams. It ended with the narrator (being a adult Kevin who narrated the whole show) saying he was the first person to welcome her back when she returned year later, with his wife and kids. And dispite Kevin/Winnie being the first ship I ever followed I was happy with that ending because people grow up and sometimes grow apart.
So part of me wonders if that is how it will end here, or if Raku and Chitoge will wait...part of me thinks they should but the realistic part could be like it happened before they could maybe move on. In which case I want a Pacey/Joey ending.

At least it's ending way more appropriate than Bleach. You have no idea the outrage it caused when we learn that Bleach is ending next week.
