Obito is the false Sage of the Six Paths much like Nagato was the false child of prophecy.
Yep. This is what I tried to say in my lame post on the last chapter. Obito captured the biju and has been using them for his own purposes and against their will, while the biju actually cooperate with Naruto by their own will.
You make a good point that first there was a false child of prophecy, and now the false Sage. If there is to be another Sage, it has to be Naruto.
As for the rest of the chapter, I thought it was great. It might not have been NS straight up, but it was definitely... NS-flavored. Rin was depicted as being very similar to Sakura -- not only in looks and expressions, but attitude. It made complete sense that she was supporting Obito as a serious friend, but one whose feelings for him were very deep. Because even though we know she thought she loved Kakashi at that time, she clearly loved Obito as well.
Someone has already mentioned this, I'm sure, but I couldn't help but notice:

Like Kushina and Sakura, Rin-chan does the same arm/fist move.
And then there was Naruto's comment to Obito, "I don't want to know an easy shortcut. I want to know how to walk down a steep path." Which has included loving Sakura so much that he has resolutely put her happiness before his own, and been determined to bring Sasuke back even if it means she'd never realize how Naruto feels.
Yes, it was a lovely chapter. I did get the feeling that Kishimoto is making every effort to hold back the big reveal -- or any more significant NS hints -- until he must. He tries to be such a sly boots.
