I actually kind of like her with her bangs , not that i don't like her last with her forehead all shining , but its good to have change .

There's bangs on Sakura's forehead. Maybe with a bigger version we can see if the seal appears a little.

True, you don't want to reveal something big on a cover because that'll give away the big surprise.

Minato and Naruto will do some damage with the help of Sasuke and Tobirama with them. Then possibly the alliance intervene the tree would demolish afterwards. But, there's Obito too, so maybe Minato and Naruto won't attack the tree and leave it to others, and go to stop Obito.

 

The alliance will have to make a move cause when the tree shoots, they won't be running around like headless chickens . They can make something like a wall as in justsu, but it won't just be it. They won't stand still while the tree shoots. I think they'll make a move to stop this tree. Next chapter will help us what Minato and Naruto are going to attack first after getting ready, so we can say how it will probably and possibly go down with this... That if the tree didn't begin to shoot XD

 

By the way, the tree will shoot only once from each hole ? Or is it a continuous shooting ? Cause if just once, well, they can make a defense if they could, but they said that there's a problem with doing a wall for defense, so they have to destroy it quickly.

Probably Naruto and Minato will attack the tree and we will see what happens. As for the alliance they are going to have to dodge any bijuudama that was launched.

 

But anyone wonders if somehow Naruto learns Hiraishin in this fight?

Well he deactivated it for now, but maybe he can. Then again, the main focus is to stop from total annihilation. Next chapter may not have a lot of going on, but should be fun to see how they will stop it, especially Naruto/Minato combo. I do wonder though, I get the feeling Minato could die here in this volume. I am going to be sad if he does before celebrating his birthday.

It seems like the colouring designs of Gamakichi and the snake summoning that was seen entwined around Sasuke in the Sannin cover in P1 were taken to heart. The summons used in the previous chapters were probably the offspring of those concept designs. You can tell the similarities that exist between the snake back then and Aoda's appearance now.  For Sakura though there are noticeable discrepancies with her personal slug's pigment. Volume 66's cover is the first official portrayal of Katsuyu in colour since P2 began and judging from the discrepant cyanic hue of its exterior when compared to the pinkish tint it had originally, it's possible that Kishi intended for Sakura to acquire her own slug summoning or he could have revamped the boss slug's design to accommodate the evolutionary progression cycle of his drawing skills. 

 

On another note, the Neo Sannin parallel being the cover art for the volume isn't surprising as it was brought up again and acted as the main focus for roughly five chapters worth of content. Although it's very disappointing to see that Kishi didn't portray the manifested White Strength Seal. Quite a few of us have been deeply interested to learn what Kishi's definitive concept of its colouring was. Just to see if any other differences exist besides just the names of Sakura and Tsunade's two seals. Hopefully another opportunity is seized with the next cover page.

I like it too actually but I wonder why kishi strived away from what she actually looked like in the current manga.

I guess he did it with a purpose , after all Sakura's forehead is her coolest trait ^^.

Actually, from what I noticed in Photoshop, she does have the seal and it seems to be same color. :)

Yeah, I zoomed it with magnifying glass and I also noticed a little thing behind those bangs...Seemed purple to me too anyway...

I did the same thing and in Photoshop there is a color picker and it had the pink shade, the skin shade and a purple shade .... so the purple must clearly be from the seal. :)

Moreover, in this cover she doens't wear the jounin uniform but her usual clothes... I mean... wtf? She has the usuale clothes but different hairstyle?

That is a mystery for myself too. It's funny cause it kinda reminds me of Forest of Death Sakura which hair's looked like Naruto's and Minato's in Kyuubi mode when they flew away... But I am really curious why he changed it though...Maybe he just felt like and it's nothing?

What's even more strange is the fact that in this cover, if you look like closely how Kishimoto drew Naruto, you will notice that his  jacket is slightly opened, just like Naruto's clothes are ruined in these chapters where he is fighting and where his jacket is opened and not with the closed zip as usual.

That's true. His clothes are the same, minus the burnt part which is normal... dunno, I guess Kishi just wanted to draw them normally? To be honest, I would've expected something more epic, like them on the top of their summons looking all badasses but oh well...

I came across chapter four's cover, and looked back at Volume 66. I wonder if Kishi was foreshadowing this since he made this cover. However I'm still really glad with the amazing cover for Volume 66.

^that was definitely a foreshadow. I used it as a proof on one of my theories.

By the way, about Sakura's seal... so this are the colors around the forehead.... [credits to Sakura FC @Narutoforums]

 

 

It is placed in such a weird manner that it seems, dunno, either a string of hair or maybe the seal covered a bit? Gah!
