I didn't read it that way. I thought he was saying that he won't turn on her. As in not oppose her because if she gets mad she'll smack him dead.

 

It's in the same way Kushina always won all of the arguments she had with Minato since he probably also didn't like to go against her knowing how her temper is.

It was exactly like the first time he saw her smash the ground in the training grounds early in Pt. 2. Even his expression is pretty similar to what it was back then and his comment mirrors what he said then also. It has nothing do with what he said in 631. lol

Well, I avoided the spoilers and thankfully too. Whoever called it on the diamond seal, well then you won the bet. Am I disappointed? Nope. It was awesome. I am so happy to see her finally kicking ass and I really how this chapter was a Sakura's shining moment, where she recapped her struggle of catching up to her team. Now, she has gotten strong enough to help them without being there just watching. That's a development and she is not done.

 

The fact everyone wants to be Hokage is more of a talk of wanting to be strong and while they could go for it, when it comes to election, it will be Naruto that they will push. Anyway, I do like how everyone are motivated to be strong and how everyone feel like the day where they were Gennin, going to Chunnin exam and they all want to reach to the top. It's the old feeling that surely Kishi did it to showcase Konoha team as people who we watched for so long.

 

That said yeah, the more I think about it, the more strange it's beginning to feel about Sasuke and Juugo confirmed it. Something could happen with him and I don't like the look of it. If you ask me, Team 7 reunion is like Kishi's way of having them together one last time, because next time, something will separate them apart. I assume it will be on the election to Hokage, but something is cooking and I don't like it. Sasuke is playing the character that looks normal, but when you reach to the end, he's truly bad or something. I don't know, I was thinking Blazblue twist or Bleach twist. I mean why only Juugo in the field? Where's other? Where's Orochimaru? He could be elsewhere, but you know they say, don't trust a snake. Also remember, Sasuke wants to be Hokage, but we don't know how is that even possible. Well, we'll see soon.

 

It ends with Team 7 reunited and this time, they will all fight together. I like how Sakura proven that she is strong, that when Team 7 went to her, it's like a way of saying, "One of us" and it was nice for Sakura to feel approval. Now, it's not just back-to-back, it's back-to-back-to-back. Oh, and you gotta love Naruto's reaction. Even though he will never do it, Naruto should never cheat on her. Actually, he better hope he can maintain argument at home like Minato.

 

Overall, I definitely like this chapter and the mystery of Sasuke's motive seems to be open now, and I think it's worth noting because this is in middle of the volume and Sasuke can pull a twist to the world before the volume ends. Sasuke is known to play an act until he finds the right moment to screw everyone. Right now, he's either truly playing a role to help because he's "good" (think as Kabuto at Chuunin Exam) or there's nothing to worry about. He better not pull a twist on me...

and don't worry about the "turn on...", I have seen ohana's script. Naruto said "歯向う" "defy/strike back/rise against" or just "oppose"... Here, the right word there is "opposing".

 

So calm down, it's the same as at the beginning of shippuden when Sakura showed him the great strength of her by destroying the ground agains Kakashi's test

HOLY HELL SAKURA, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU!!!      

 

 

This chapter .... this chapter is just so flawless!! Best chapter ever, even better than the last one IMO! I'm so proud of Sakura right now, I literally had to do a victory dance over this.  That ought to shut up the bashers, no way in hell they can call her weak or Hinata's stronger than her.  She demolished those Juubi clones, OMG I can't even fully register what happened.

 

For so long, I thought Kishi had forgotten about her. Wouldn't let her fight alongside Naruto or anyone else, but I've never been so happy to be wrong.   That callback of the Chunin Exams with "This time, you'll watch my back" was just so perfect, I swear I felt like Kishi had neglected her speech. And finally, finally ... Sakura has proven to Naruto and Sasuke she is no longer a helpless girl who can't keep up with them. Sasuke's smirk made me especially happy, he's finally acknowledging her a little instead of completely seeing her as useless. Sakura deserves that!

 

And omg my Team 7 feels in this chapter are so strong, it feels too perfect! I know it won't last, but words cannot express my happiness at saying the Team 7 dynamic in action again. I've missed it so much. "Don't get in my way, Naruto." -- Brings back so many bickering SasuNaru memories!  I know this won't last, but please let me pretend lol. And Naruto's reaction to Sakura's strength .... laughed so freakin' hard at it. Just more reasons why Naruto is adorable.

 

As for Sasuke saving her and Sakura's slight fangirl moment .... can any of us truthfully say we're surprised?  We're braced ourselves over and over for some SasuSaku focus, it was inevitable. Yeah, she was most likely blushing in that panel but so what? Sasuke's "good" and actually protected her. You can't say she wouldn't enjoy that, we all know she still loves Sasuke.  But remember, she loves Naruto/has feelings for him too!  I've made it no secret my intense hatred of SS, but Sakura still needs her closure with Sasuke before NaruSaku can become canon. This really isn't an issue, instead we should all focus on how badass Sakura was in this chapter.

 

On a serious note, Kishi is definitely reigniting the NaruSakuSasu love triangle, just like I predicted he would. Naruto was even a little jealous. This may be comic relief for now, but it's going to get serious once this battle is over. Sakura will have to come to terms with her feelings for her boys and finally chose. She will probably chose Naruto, we just have to be strong and endure the SS references along the way.

I don't think anyone has to worry about people making a big deal about SasuSaku. Every post I read regarding it is just telling people to stop worrying about it.

 

Guy's, nobody is worried about SasuSaku anymore, so we don't have to keep telling people to not be worried.

 

I know what people truly want: bragging rights.

 

Many of the NS fandoms have been mocked and ridiculed in the recent years for daring to believe that Naruto and Sakura were meant to end together. That probably takes a toll in a lot of people. Even I venture on the desire to finally be proven 100% right but that won't happen until probably the near end when the romance subplot can finally reach it's resolution.

 

We know that Sakura will end with Naruto, but we desire to have the actual final evidence in order not to be questioned by others. People want the actual proof that Naruto and Sakura will be together so that no one can ever say that what we say isn't true or that we're being delusional.

 

It's not that we yearn for NS to happen, we know it will. We yearn for the freaking bragging rights.

Wow! What a chapter, I always had a feeling Sakura might have something like this up her sleeve. What a great moment, looking forward to more time for her to shine and fighting back to back with the rest of Team 7

 

And I'm not surprised that there was a bit of "sasusaku" in here if you can call it that. It's coming to the point where all that is going to have to be resolved and Sakura has to come to terms with her feelings.

I love the chapter, but something disappointed me a little.

 

Sakura as the power up we thought she will, it was obvious.

But she needed to be saved and i don't like it. It made here character look distrait.

I think Kishi did this only to give the opportunity to Sasuke to show that he will save her now instead of trying to kill her.

 

Kishi is showing team7 with exactly the same love triangle as before.

i find it bad writing because naruto, sasuke et sakura changed a lot while they were appart....

it's kinda ruins the manga development...

 

I saw some hints for SasuSaku too... oh god maybe he will really do it.....

Basically he killed NH to revive SS this chapter, moreso with sasuke reactions to sakura being more positive.

 

I don't understand why are you bothered about this... I didn't see any SS interaction here, at least not romantic hints surely... Sakura didn't blush because those are just war wounds.

People are never happy... *sigh* If "Sasuke-kun" is going to be the focus of the discussion, then I think I'll stay away from here this week. This chapter was supposed to be all about Sakura proving herself, and we should be happy about that.

 

I find it really disheartening to see so many instead pointing their fingers at one panel. A panel that has nothing to do with the chapter itself. It gets right under my skin too, because the last thing this chapter was supposed to be about was pairings. It's about Team 7, and Sakura finally being able to stand proudly beside her other two teammates. Please, please, please, please, please don't take that moment away from her over pairings. Please.

 

We already know that Sakura loves Sasuke. We already knew that some SasuSaku was on it's way. We also know that she has feelings for Naruto. We've established this over the past ten+ years. So stop.

 

I hope that this doesn't happen again next week, because frankly, I'm tired of having to defend any positive moments for Sakura, Naruto, and NaruSaku from my own fandom.

I dunno....  It's a diamond seal where the user stores chakra for use.  It's essentially the same thing as Tsunade's seal, but the chakra's used for combat, not self-heal....

i'm not phased one bit by that SasuSaku interaction   in fact.... was it even an "interaction" to begin with? all was there was Sakura calling "sasuke-kun!", him ignoring the kitten out of her as always, and the rest of the dialog was only between Naruto and Sakura.   Plus, that smile of Sasuke? no threat at all. It's part of the plot and her character development. Remember, her resolve was for her to have BOTH BOYS--meaning Naruto AND Sasuke--to acknowledge her. Naruto already acknowledged her YEAAAAAAAAAARS ago. Last chapter was only a reminder that he already has, and is proud of her. Now it's sasuke's turn to give a kitten about his teammate.

 

BONUS? ....Naruto's jealousy at the last page. OH, KISHI YOU.   

 

P.S. for those who are worrying over the SasuSaku moment. it's no surprise. it's part of the cycle, and we ALL knew this was inevitable. In order for NS to happen, SS must be resolved for good, and that time will surely come to pass.

Also notice, all this SasuNaruSaku interactions--ESPECIALLY her going all smiley over sasuke and Naruto getting jealous and reminding her of him being there--IS PART of Kishi's way of reestablishing Team 7 and it's old days. it's part of the plot, writing, and development   so really, there's nothing to worry about. Kishi knows what he's doing, and we can already see sasuke still doesn't give a damn.  xD

P.P.P.S. I just converted two of my NaruHina guy friends to NaruSaku... but I... I... I BARELY did anything!   not even remotely close to my minor debates let alone the powerful ones and they already love NaruSaku. all i did was reinforce whats clearly there! i barely got to have fun doing anything! i guess the Manga speaks for itself. unlike NaruHina that constantly needs to defend itself in a futile battle
