I enjoyed that chapter. XD Poor Hachiken, the rest of the guys seem to be out to make his life hell.
I was delighted to see Silver Spoon on Crunchyroll! It was really nice to watch the first two episodes, and the Friday broadcast time is perfect as I can watch it as soon as I finish work for the week.

Hehe, they should devote around 20-30 seconds to that reaction.
It's funny, I felt like I needed to adjust to seeing all the characters in colour. Komaba is more tanned than the original version, and that girl with the Rose-like highlights in her hair has just a lighter shade of brown for those highlights.
I was just looking at Wikipedia to try and find her name, but I came across this. Take with a pinch of salt:
Following the premiere of the anime series, evidence pointing to a Live Action Film based on the manga surfaced when Japanese studio Toho registered the website "Ginsaji-movie.com" and the Obihiro Tourism and Convention Bureau posted a casting call for extras on a film project on Wednesday. According to the casting call, the film is shooting on summer 2013 in the Tokachi area of Hokkaido (where the manga's story is set) in and around Obihiro City. Just like the manga, the film will be a "portrait of teens set in an agricultural high school." Keisuke Yoshida is directing the film with the production companies TBS and Wilco and the distributor TOHO.

Poor Ayame and Okawa... XD; Still, Okawa deserves all that bad karma for breaking Hachiken's phone.
I do wonder if Ayame's words will sting Komaba back into action? He's probably being cold because he wants to distance himself from Yezo and not think about what he could have had, but it will only lead to loneliness and unhappiness. He definitely needs something to aim for, other than just earning money.
It is!!! farming with light dashes of romance are definitely softer in tone than the hard core stuff in FMA. Darn it, I miss that series to heck. All time favorite (only Naruto ties with it in my personal fandom). But anyways try the manga too You may not be thrilled due to the lack of action but it is a fine read non the less. The romance with Mikage is endearing too.

Nakamura Shido as Nakajima? I can't see it, he's too square-jawed and definitely doesn't have a Buddha face. It would require a REALLY good make-up job to convert him. XD;
Kento Nakajima (no relation to Nakajima-sensei...) is really pretty looking, so not sure about him as Hachiken. Alice Hirose, on the other hand, looks OK as Aki Mikage.
Ryuhei Ueshima definitely looks jolly enough to be the Principal, and he's 5'3" so he's also short enough in realistic terms.
It'll be interesting to see if the movie gets subbed online, perhaps Crunchyroll will even include it, if the Silver Spoon anime continues to be popular on their site.
I'm surprised no-one has spoken about the latest anime episode! It was good fun to watch.

Yes, finally, the pizza episode! It was definitely enjoyable, and it was also amusing to see the HachiMikage moments. He basically agreed to make pizza because she wanted some. And, of course, the boys all spoilt that nice moment between them at the end.
The next episode should start the Summer season of the manga, unless the anime studio wants to pad it out with a filler or two.

Spoilers!
This episode was definitely fun, and...
Episode 5 Spoilers
I laughed at the new parts, such as Nishikawa using sign language to tell the others someone was in the toilet... XD;
The episode was actually of a later manga filler, and they changed a few things around like letting Hachiken see the crop circle instead of simply hearing about it. But it works well, and the ending is still funny.
