Does anyone know who Sasuke is talking about in the trailer when he says: "If he’s not here, then there’s obviously no choice but for me to protect you." You don't think he's talking to Sakura about Naruto, do you?

 

No, Sakura is with naruto the others to go rescue Hanabi. I think Sasuke is referring to the village maybe.

Just the plot revolving around her capture but instead Hanabi was. Just seems like she is going to be the most important female of the movie. 

But in the end hanabi got captured. Think about it, he probably wants the byakugan so he can be like kaguya, so they put in hinata cuz her sister is in danger, thats why they said the hyuga are endangered, cuz of the byakugan like kaguya. All this hinata hype is just like RTN, wait for the movie. Hinata will definitely be resolved in this movie, but that doesnt mean its NH. I doubt she will have a big role. Sakura will cuz shes the heroine.

He's talking to a superior/someone older.
People assumed he was talking to Kakashi...

 

It's a bit humiliating for kakashi to have to be protected like a pure maiden though.

Yeah that scene worries me but I am hoping they are just discussing if Hinata has the strength to rescue Hanbi or something like that. But no need to worry just wait and see.

Dont let it bother you, hinata will have a role to play but it wont be near sakuras role. Kishi said the movie is based on the manga. Nuff said.

Okay I saw the trailer (in saiyan island) before coming here and I was thinking: "sh*tstorm incoming". Glad to be right everything is good in NSland - people freaking out for the most part, a few patient ones, a really good minority not giving a kitten about the trailer - ah!... what a wonderful and familiar view   well I'm gonna watch some anime, or do something else, and may come back later to see how you guys are holding up, until then a word of advice: Wait for the kittening end of the manga!

Oh yes, did you see just how red his cheeks got afterwards? Or how happy Hinata looked there? It's truly romantic admeration, NO WAY it can be anything different!

If it was about popularity, Kishi would have made his manga shifted a little bit in favour of NH but it never happened, not even in the most recent chapters that were written when the movie was already in production.

It's incredibly unlikely Hinata will die without Naruto look like a failed hero. Female characters usually get fridged near the beginning of the story, not the end - this movie is the last story of the series. Kishimoto has said he intends to give the story a happy ending to inspire hope to the readers, so again, it's incredibly unlikely he'd kill her off.

I just watched RTN trailer and yeah it had no signs of NS but there was a lot of NS in the movie.

I don't know about you guys, but I feel really relived after watching this trailer. 

Hinata's not the only one screaming Naruto. Sakura did too. And she was the first <3

Narutos' "I have to tell you something when I'm back" in context to this scene when they were kids: 

You have to admit that Naruto was a big prick back then, and as far as we know Hinata was always more or less on his side. 

Maybe he was mean to her when he should not? 

Maybe he'll goanne explain this to her? Maybe Hinata will finally find "peace" after that? I'm nearly 100% sure it is not meant in a romantic context. 

And the way Naruto looks at Hinata is "suprised".

It's incredibly unlikely Hinata will die without Naruto look like a failed hero. Female characters usually get fridged near the beginning of the story, not the end - this movie is the last story of the series. Kishimoto has said he intends to give the story a happy ending to inspire hope to the readers, so again, it's incredibly unlikely he'd kill her off.

There's no better way to inspire hope on the readers/viewers then to make your protagonist give up on the love of his life, after he did everything in his power to be loved back

The early ones didn't, but the late ones did (including the scene with Naruto and Sakura at crossroads, on the Hokage mountain together, etc).

I've heard people theorize on this. Another theory is that it might be Sasuke talking to Hinata, as she is in danger/ will be kidnapped by the main villain at some point.
