Oddly enough, this scene is actually one of my favorite NaruSaku interactions. I feel like both their characters level up there. Sakura is confident in her skills, in her knowledge of Naruto's skills and in her support of him. In that one scene she illustrates the gulf between her and Hinata. Hinata is still holding on to her childish fantasy of Naruto, while Sakura understands exactly who he is and just how powerful he is. And Sakura has no problem correcting Hinata. It's not meanness either — as NH fans love to paint Sakura that way. Instead it's the attitude of a true partner. And Hinata is showing just how far away she is from knowing the real Naruto. 

 

And as if to reinforce all that, in the next panels Naruto explodes out of the water, angry and powerful, proving he isn't taken down so easily. So Naruto's actions verify that Sakura was right, and that they are completely in sync. They don't even look at each other or interact - they just are in sync. This partnership doesn't happen in NH or SS, either before or after.

 

To me, it's an awesome little NS moment, and Sakura telling off a hand-wringing Hinata is just the icing on the cake. 

And it shows Sakura has her priorities straight. While yes, caring about your comrades is important, it's not good if it leaves you open to be killed either. If the others hadn't been there and it was only Naruto and Hinatatas, "Tobi" could have easily taken her lack of attention and used it to kill her with impunity (not that he couldn't do so anyway, but the situation would further justify it).

But no, we are to be believed that naruto and Hinata are the ultimate battle couple even though she does NOTHING.

 

Agreed but the thing they always say is she lied to him, I mean she may have but she was trying to protect him and stop chasing Sasuke cause he would have been killed.
Geez it's like Sakura can't be a friend and care about Naruto.

According to "Kishimoto" and SP, Naruto has been lying to EVERYONE since Day 1. "He only cared because of his rivalry game with Sasuke." That's it.

It still makes me laugh how ironic it is that the ONLY pairing that 100% of the fanbase agrees with is the ONLY pairing Kishimoto said he would never make or develop. (Shikamaru and Temari)

Yep, Sakura did tell Hinata that. And we even see when Naruto and Sakura worked together during the bell test in the start of Naruto Shippuden that we see why they're the ultimate battle couple from their synergy and working around each other's improved skills. Even in the fight with Kaguya, Naruto stood up for Sakura and Kakashi over Sasuke's kittenish behavior just because as usual, he was just thinking of himself and no one else, just wanting to beat Kaguya, then to face Naruto and erase what the Ninja World had become to make himself feel better, not to make a change.

And all because "they loved someone so much that it turned them psychotic when that person died." What a stupid reasoning. "I love you so much I want to kill you so you don't die."

That excuse was so ridiculous to me, and it made me think of how in my fanfic, which I need to get back to work on, that that's a lame excuse and most of the Uchiha who were wanting to be involved in the coup d'etat that Fugaku wanted were angry at the continued mistreatment the Uchiha had, while Madara himself would become evil itself due to his lust for power when he actually killed Izuna to take his Sharingan to save himself from going blind, and just wanting the Moon's Eye Plan to become God of a new world. Think almost like Wesker in Resident Evil 5 when he wanted to unleash Uroboros on the world in the hopes to become the God of a new world, only leaving people trapped in an illusion.

 

And it also makes me think of how pathetic stuff with Kaguya was besides the Uchiha wanking and the like.

The Zabuza is probably the most BS there is because....lol.....Naruto apparently can't connect to his son because he "doesn't understand emotions," but he can make a cold-blooded assassin cry because "he can connect through his emotions."

The more I think about it, the more the series is horrible.
