Honestly this place isn't really all that better since their is always so much negativity.

 

Touché.  

 

But to some extent, negativity is part of the deal.  There will always be some level of dissatisfaction with elements of any story, and people have the right to express those thoughts.  

 

However, it can get excessive and unproductive.  We (the mod team here) are looking into providing a more productive way for issues with the manga content to be discussed.  Stay tuned.

Sometimes we just have to stay away from those kinds of things well even though its kinda hard to not avoid the situation.

 

That's one reason why the mods here don't want arguments or rants that have been posted on other sites brought to this forum.  It can be distressing to members of this community who do not wish to be riled up by the harsh or contrary opinions of others.  

 

If they wanted exposure to that stuff they'd seek it out themselves, but it doesn't belong here.  (The other reason is because such posts are usually relayed here for dissection and/or ridicule without the OP's permission, which is unfair and disrespectful.)  We've had a rash of those lately.

I assume this is partly a reference to me for my post of the NH/Hinata fan argument? I don't often do it, but I didn't know it was disrespectful. I already responded to the person myself so I guess I figured it would be okay to post it here. This is a debate thread after all, and seeing other people's opinions might be a little healthy so we can see other viewpoints besides her own. That's why I tend to like those sort of things.

 

But I guess not everyone can take arguments like those calmly in this forum, which is understandable. I apologize if I was being rude and I won't do it again.

 

Edit: That post of the SasuKarin/NaruSaku/MinaKushi parallels ... take away SK and it'd be perfect. (Not sorry for my hatred of SK)

For me it depends. I have a love/hate relationship with debating. On one hand, I like intelligent discussion. On the other, I tend to associate debate with conflict and I just want to get along with people as peacefully as possible. So I can get defensive. I've learned to deal with it, but usually if I participate in a debate I stay in it until I've had all I can take and then politely back out. Or I may just avoid it altogether. So I guess maybe I take debate too personally, IDK.

Not at you directly, no.  There have been more posts than just that one.  It's one of those things that tends to cause more harm than good -- for several reasons.

 

It's a non-issue.  You're a valuable member and you contribute a lot of great insights and meta.  Don't worry about it.
