Don't get me wrong if LuNa does happen I'll be happy with it, but to be honest we're most likely in store for an open ending.

Many, many times. Have you seen Strong World? There's some in there. She chose him vs Enel (after the hat scene ), him over Arlong, on Weatheria she had this touching monologue, etc.

I don't think there will be an open ending per-se, I think that the end will show a timeskip with Luffy dead, having turned himself in, and
Nami holding a mini Luffy.

Luffy won't die. Roger turned himself in because he was dying, and his time to start the great pirate era was then or never. Luffy won't do that unless he is dying, and Chopper's dream will save Luffy from dying from overuse of the body to achieve the title of Pirate King like Roger did.

Roger stopped his journey primarily because he felt that their adventure had run its course, and that they had achieved all there was to achieve. Then he decided to turn himself in. If Luffy becomes king and then achieves the dreams of all of his crew, he might determine the same as Roger, as they've been known to be similar. Not only that, there is no guarantee that Luffy won't catch that disease, and if he does, there's no guarantee that Chopper will be able to cure it, or even if there is a cure. Choppers dream is to become a great doctor, not to find something that can cure every disease. He knows it's not possible, and his training with Kureha told him as much. He learned that when Hiriluk died as a result of his poisonous mushrooms.

That ending is very plausible, and as long as Luffy gets to live life the way he wanted, it really isn't such a bad one. A bit sad, but still pretty good considering that he will have achieved his dreams, and will have guided those around him to theirs.

No, that doesn't make sense at all. If he were to find the miracle cure to everything, he wouldn't be the greatest doctor to ever had lived, he would make all doctors everywhere obsolete. There would be no need for doctors. He wasn't taught by Hiriluk to find the cure to everything, he was taught to follow his dreams. Kureha taught him to be a doctor because of the fact that nothing like a miracle cure exists. His dream isn't to be the best doctor, it's to be a great doctor. He never said about being the best doctor, he wants to be a great doctor that can help Luffy achieve his dreams. Mansherry is irrelevant, she isn't a doctor, she literally just kills pain. It's not a permanent fix. Laws fruit doesn't matter, Choppers skill isn't incumbent on being better than Laws fruit. Chopper is trying to be a great doctor for himself and Luffy. He's probably going to be the best doctor because he's on Luffy's ship, but his goal is to be great, not the best. There's a difference.

Come on AHK. Even if your guess is right there, Oda isn't stopping Chopper or Usopp at "great." Usopp will be the bravest, and Chopper with be the best doctor. If not it's like saying Luffy will never surpass Roger, and just settle with Pirate King.

How do you measure bravery? Usopp wants to be brave, there's zero way to actually quantify it, and then if you did, you'd be saying that Usopp is more brave that Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Robin, and Franky. That's ridiculous. There's no way that anyone on that shape is more brave than Luffy. Chopper wants to be a great doctor that helps people and Luffy, he will be the best doctor because he is with Luffy, but he hasn't expressed the desire to be the best. He wants to be the best he can be for Luffy, and that's it. He expressed that to Zoro when he was talking about being a monster.

The two aren't even close to comparable to your analogy with Luffy and Roger.

Anyway you're probably right that if Luffy has a kid, the mother will be Nami. But who knows, anything can happen. :)
