Any spoilers about the new chapter yet?
No. There likely won't be any spoilers for another hour and a half.

As much as I hate parallels, if Kishi wants to show NaruSaku the parallel of MinaKushi, then he has got to resolve the pairing issue before the final battle.
If he wants to prove Itachi's words, "The reason your father Minato could be Hokage was because he had your mother Kushina, and all his friends", then it's necessary that he has Sakura supporting Naruto before the final Naruto vs. Sasuke battle.
I want Sakura to realize that she's in love with Naruto because she loves him and he's amazing. I don't want her to go to Naruto because Sasuke is evil, or isn't as great as she thought. And in order for the author to prove this, I think we need to see a resolution before the final battle.
Did he really say that? Goddamn Itachi is the man, he also told Naruto about he needs to be acknowledged to become Hokage and not the other way around.
I just have to say as NS fans I think (well this really applies to me) want so much from NS even though Kishi has done a fine job of giving us subtle moments and keeping others pairings alive. ( i mean he does have to keep the fans)
I mean lets look at the bridle save. Thats a pretty momentumental scene, not just the MinaKushi parallel, (which is a huge give away), but I mean Naruto could have probably saved her in other fashion, but he choose to pick her up as if he was crossing the threshold.
Such and "invasive" method, but he was fine with it and so was sakura. Ppl went crazy over holding hands, man thats nothing, especially compared to carrying your girl ![]()

Though we may not get everything we want like a look at their future kids or the wedding. But I think that one thing has to happen for sure, Sakura has to be shown clearly choosing Naruto because she has feelings for him and that she no longer has feelings for Sasuke. Kishi has stated multiple times that her "feelings" for him are a weakness and for her character development emotionally to be complete, the "feelings" hav to go.

Spoilers for the recent chapter

I cant think of much canon evidence to support this, its more of another real life application thing. I was thinking something that could distress Sakura is a lack of romantic feelings for Sasuke. On one hand she could be very blase' about her (hopefully) changed feelings for Sasuke, and just move on without too much drama.
On the other side of things, not feeling the same after devoting years and lots of stress and pain to her feelings for Sasuke could be scary and sort of a ...letdown? Like she wasted time only to be confronted with a change of heart after seeing him again.

She could very well come to the conclusion that she wasted so much time on a "love" that was false when the perfect guy was right next to her the whole time.

As of this recent chapter, Sai asking Sakura how she feels about Sasuke, it was a shocker not many saw coming, she said the words sincerely but Sai knows a fake smile. If things continue forward, if we get a resolved answer to chp 540 and Sakura moves back from Sasuke, this could be her coming of maturity, learning the difference between ideal love and the real thing. She is not going to just turn to Naruto, she is going to have to realize something and well unlike Kushina break down that final wall.
Its like NS has a checklist:
1. Sakura=Kushina parallel confirmed
2. Sakura's current feelings for Sasuke = unresloved
3. Naruto's feelings for Sakura = practically the same (only said because some people feel we need a more direct answer)
4. ?????
5. Profit towards canon.

Oh Sakura u poor girl.....idk guys what do you make out of this chapter. Sai ( my man, always pushing NS) tells Sakura that Sasuke can't be trusted, but she insists that he came back for them and that he can be trusted. She even sasy something about his smile.
Honestly I think we all expected this, can't have a gap with no SS and then Sakura getting over Sasuke. Then it would have been under the wrong pretense. This way something can happen where she will realize that she actuallly loves Naruto and who knows it might not be now, maybe post war during final bout.
Also I knew Oorchimaru would be "good" :) But touching moment between him and tsunade, reminiscing about Jiriya.

lol some people say that Sakura is 'just wary' of Sasuke. IMO her forced smile obviously indicates that she's hurt by Sasuke's attitude, again.

I think the fake smile is an act.
She might be up to something, or she doesn't want Sai to be worried, or she just hates to share emotions haha XD

True but you see unlike her part I self She's not so blindly devoted to him, which is a HUGE difference to how she is now. Plus that fake smile definitely kills the relationship some fans were hoping. This is nothing like how she treats Naruto, which is always unshakable faith in him. That said, I will admit this shows she is no longer "just a fan girl". And what this means for her actual feelings is still to be determined, which it should later on. But we won't be seeing it yet cause Kakashi and Obito. TROOOOOOLL. ![]()

The fake smile can mean two things imo.
1.) She is saying the truth about what she wants to believe with having team 7 back again, but deep inside she knows it will only be temporary. The smile is trying to convince herself to have faith but failing to do so.
2.) Like Tsunade in part 1, she knows Sasuke's darkness and is prepared to fight/eliminate him, but she doesn't show this because she is planning to strike him at the most unexpected OR she doesn't want the alliance to lose hope when they have started to gain it with Sasuke's arrival (like those fodders cheering up "keep going!" or the other rookies feeling nostalgic except for Shikamaru).

I feel more that she tried to convince Sai the otherwise, it's similar to what she did before, she knows that Sasuke cant be trusted but at the same time she wants to tell Sai the otherwise, she's not trying to convince herself however but rather trying to tell the others to not care about it.

Yep Yep disregard what I said before, it seems as though she knows whats going to happen, but cant help but hope for the best. Just for some clarity who said the line on the page before about "it might not be lies, however..."
Oh and Kakashi!!!!!

Come Sai, you said to Sakura that Naruto love her, now in this chapter you asked that sharp question to Sakura, but why you didn't say aloud what you said after the question?

Sai is just helping slowly with the process. He just gives time for Sakura. He knows that her feelings are changing.

I can't believe Kishi is really going through with this. He's ending a pairing. This is something else. Well, things are heating up in NF. So, at least we will have a short break on it by focusing on Kakashi and Obito.
