hello! it's always fun, and interesting sometimes to revisit places that once brought joy, friendship, and just good memories'. so, what all has changed now since 2016? i haven't watched, or read naruto since the manga ended, and i haven't ever read/watched boruto. does anyone ever keep up with the boruto series or is the narusaku fandom gone for good? what's the next big thing that's replaced the naruto fandom?

 

have the naruhina fans calmed down, or finally met their match?, OR are most of them done with boruto? if so, i wonder what it took for them to give up their obsession with hinata, and naruhina? what is the most active forum/thread here now? no one seems to post in the i-blogs forums anymore, and no one posts in the random thread anymore either. did everyone give up on talking to each other unless it's about naruto/boruto? lol

hi welcome back! Not much has happened. Bail o Lies is doing the Boruto chapter summaries if you're curious because not many of us are even bothering with Boruto. the next big thing after Naruto? Well, there are two series that released after Naruto ended if you've never heard of them. My Hero Academia and Black Clover, but I'm not sure everyone is following them. They became my next new favourites in WSJ though, easily replacing Naruto

The big thing ? You mean Kishi's next big thing or just a big thing in general ?

I heard Boku no Hero Academia and Black Clover. I avoid both of them , Black Clover is 95% copy paste of Naruto and the story is so predictable , they put Harry Potter disguise just so it won't be so revealing that it was copy pasting Naruto. Boku no Hero Academia , is good but the one thing i hate is a seed of destruction being left alive , loudmouth "I KILL YOU" spam which is : Bakugou (not gonna go into detail) , they also want to copy the Avengers , i also found double standard here , that some people complain in Naruto village raise kid into a soldier , well i think it happen in My Hero Academia too , kid being raise into a soldier but somehow anti Naruto use this as weapon against Naruto but they never talk about this very same thing about My Hero Academia. Again this is just one man opinion , i hope i did not piss off any of you fans of Black Clover and My Hero Academia.

You know rabid fans never calm down , they did meet their match though. They are far from done.

They now have a new ship : Boruto x Sumire. Just a quick details , Sumire is what we call the clone of Hinata , she is the class rep in Boruto's class and we called her Hinata's clone because she looks and behave like Hinata. Their rival now is Boruto x Salad , so : BoruSumi vs BoruSara : BS vs BS : Bullsh*t vs Bullsh*t. Sometimes it's quite fun watching them killing each other , like you put two rabid animal in a cage and watch them fight to the death.

Unfortunately i can't answer this , right now it's just On and Off in here. I think people still post in random thread (i personally never) like i said it's just On and Off , sometimes a lot of people post thing , sometimes .... Luigi's Mansion ... 3 day straight no one post a thing!! But i'm always here personally , don't know about everyone else.

 

My prediction is , at the very end there will be like 5 to 7-ish active member (including me and staff like Tricksie and Derrock). And in that time maybe Kishi's new manga the Samurai 8 already in chapter 50 to 100 and then the staff decide to change the forum name and theme to follow that and a lot of new member might be coming in because the anime adaptation boost the popularity , i think by the time it reach chapter 80 the first season of the anime will be done ? ... who knows. But right now ... yeah as you can see .... but i notice we have a lot of lurker , lot's of name but they just .... there didn't say a thing.

Boruto is a mess.

 

The manga is a slow boring poorly paced mess that wasted ten months rehashing its intro movie, then another five on what they call their prolouge, they abandoned most of the story (what little their was) Kishi set out for them to do their own thing -which is copy the Sasuke/Naruto conflict- with the inevitable conflict between Nail and Bolt that introduce in their first scene -they are currently trying to convince the audience that Nail is more like Naruto so they hopefully convince people he is not just a Sasuke clone-. The manga has been moved to a monthly magazine on its next issue. The volumes have been on a downwards slop in sales.

 

The anime is stuck in perpetual filler that is boring even their most die-hard fans. It kept moving around time slots till it landed somewhere on Sunday. The anime created a Hinata clone that they -when I was watching- were clearly trying to set up as the new love interest. Salad is technically still the love interest.

 

Pairing are a mess I'm not getting into; assume every name character with every other named character and you're good.

 

Samurai 8 isn't bad but it still stuck in its intro arc; so hard to tell.

 

MHA and BC have pretty much replaced Naruto before the Boruto manga even started -actually to promote the Black Clover anime either SP or SJ proclaimed its the NEW Naruto even though the Boruto anime was either about to or just came out-, and Kishi's new manga is probably going to give it even more competition.

"Progress Technologies launched a Kickstarter campaign on Wednesday to fund an eBook version of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga.

 

The campaign aims to publish the entire manga (all 72 volumes plus the one Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring manga volume) in English on a device Progress Technologies calls an "eOneBook." The device has a high resolution display inside that allows readers to browse through the whole manga. The display is sandwiched between physical paper pages and an interchangeable dust jacket cover, to emulate the physical appearance and feel of a book.

 

The campaign aims to raise US$46,386 by August 13, and has so far raised US$26,990 as of press time. The devices will ship in December.

 

Masashi Kishimoto drew a new illustration for the device's dust jacket.

 

The company previously ran a Kickstarter in 2017 to publish the Fist of the North Star manga for the device. The Fist of the North Star release was bilingual with the ability to switch between Japanese and English, but the device did not include an SD card slot for users to switch to a different manga in the future. The new device with the Naruto manga will include the SD card slot.

 

Kishimoto ended his main Naruto manga after 15 years of serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in November 2014. He then wrote the one-volume sequel manga Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring. Kishimoto also worked on the script and character designs, and served as the chief production supervisor on the Boruto -Naruto the Movie- film sequel.

 

Mikie Ikemoto and Ukyō Kodachi launched a sequel manga to Naruto titled Boruto in Weekly Shonen Jump in May 2016. Kishimoto is supervising the series. The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations television anime then premiered in April 2017."

 

They can't do this through Shueisha for some reason? Even if this was something I liked this seems money grubbing.

 

Hold on let me do some math:

 

OK. So a basic Naruto volume is $9.99 physical $6.99 ebook. 72 to get full collection.

A three in one is 14.99. 24 to get full collection.

A multi-Volume such as 1-27 (there are three of these in total to get all 72 volumes) is $214.99 now on sale for $115.17 on amazon.

The entire series bundle is $596.00.

 

There goal for this is $46,386.

 

Now lets see how much you save first by buying the physicals bundles

 

3 in 1 is 14.99/9.99=1.50 So for that you get 3 volume for the price of a volume and a half. So, you save half a volume.

 

1-27 214.99/14.99=14.34 or 214.99/9.99= 21.52

 

All 596/214.99=2.77 or 596/14.99=39.76 or 596/9.99=59.66

 

So this new thing 46,386/596=77.83 or 46,386/214.99=215.76 or 46386/14.99=3094.46  or 46386/9.99=4643.24.

 

So they are basically asking for about 78 or so people to re buy the complete collectors edition, or 216 to buy the 3 massive volume editions, 3095 for the three in one, or 4644 to by all the volumes again.

 

Even at its highest that not many people they are asking to fund it. Even the amount they are asking for is still with in the range of how many people buy the Bouto volumes.

 

So I say judging by the quick release date. They are mostly done with it they just want to see if people will buy an early edition. Or even if their that much of an audience for it to be worth making.

Sounds like a fake plot , in disguise i bet all of this funds will go to dying Boruto manga. Boruto manga and anime is dying and they don't have anymore faith and funds to continue and about to get axed , but :

Investor/Shuesha/whatever : Let me see / hear the future story / script you have then.

This i think was may in part due to Boruto losing numbers, but less due to the clowns horrible pacing or having no plot. This seems more to assure people(shueshia/SP/TVTokyo) that they still have an audience willing to pay. Again, they're asking for about $47,000 that is not that much money; Especially for any investment -that about the price of some cars or a house-. Also, it pretty much will only be running through July. Also it focuses on the American/English-Speaking audience.

 

To me this say one thing: We still have an audience.

 

My guess is a few months ago some of the companies were looking at the numbers and were seeing that Boruto was not pulling in the numbers they wanted; especially internationally. Their may have been suggestion to lessen funding for Boruto projects; which would eventually lead to cancelling if the numbers got too low. This project was already coming down the pipe but was probably in danger of being cancelled. So, to convince them not to cancel it and to continue to support Boruto because they do have an international fanbase; they came up with this funding PR scheme. They were given a month to do it. If it succeed they hope it will convince the companies to not start cutting Boruto projects, or at least not as many as they are planning. If it fail it would prove the executives' worries and further cuts will probably happen.

 

The manga already been moved planned all along or not. The anime had to keep moving to find an audience till SP settled it on Sunday. That Boruto game was a flop. There have been no movies like with Naruto...have their even been any OVAs? The Boruto movie was more the last gasp of the Naruto franchise before becoming Boruto completely. I don't know about the light novels; I hope they are under-performing but i don't know.

Where is Hinata in Naruto's thoughts by the way, when he talks about his most important loved ones that saved him from his loneliness which almost drove him mad with hatred?
