Tbf this seems to be the fate of every character other than Naruto. Sasuke has it even worse. He often gets trolled/humiliated. He is the no.1 'damsel in distress' of this manga. This one always cracks me up

Hinata is shy and unconfident, that doesn't mean she's not smart. I never see her as airheaded. Kishi said on the databook that she has more potential than she shows, maybe this will be not the same (ever) as Nejis, but she has.
And she needed to have that speed because her taijutsu demand it. Sakura was one of the slowlest shinobis.

Hinata basically fought Pein without a plan at all. That isn't exactly the smartest thing to do.

Yeah, not to mention the fact that we still have to get out offense straight. It's bad enough just the schedule alone, but when our offensive line is underperforming, it's gonna make for a hard time.

One of the worst things I have come across from an NH/SS shipper (besides the Naruto doesn't respect Sakura and that he doesn't love her anymore and all that garbage) is that if NS were to happen, Sakura wouldn't be able to give him the love that Naruto needs, because she would be thinking of Sasuke the whole time, while Hinata could give him the love that he "needs".

Also the same person implied that Naruto has some sort of obligation to screw Hinata and have a kid with her, because Neji was powerful and he died, so Naruto has to replace Neji with a powerful child to restore the clan.

Needless to say, I was disgusted by both arguments. Anyone else?

Sakura...love...wont be able...thinking of sasuke, i don't even know what to say about this one, they just don't understand personalities  

"restore the clan" what, just what. it's not like the Hyugas are in danger of extinction and even if they were, why would Naruto need to be responsible of that?

No, it wasn't, but that's not because she's not capable to think or doesn't have brain. She was being selfish.

That potential goes out of the window  when she starts focusing on Naruto she literary makes the dumbest mistakes ever and all sense of logic an sanity goes out of the window  the Pain arc is the best example of this not to mention Neji's death and 662  . Every battle she went in she went without thinking at all Sakura reprimanded her twice for now in the manga about her actions  sorry but I rather see those feats shown in the manga that she's intelligent and such then  just say it that she's one bc "she needs it" but what shown in the manga its an entirely different story she has barely any feats to brag about except Taijutsu .

The databooks are the source that Kishi made. I agree with you. Her potential goes out the window because all that she thinks is "Naruto-kun". And i agree too, in the manga doesn't show "all" , Kishi can't draw everything, and she's a side character. That's why databook exists.

The databooks are the source that Kishi made. I agree with you. Her potential goes out the window because all that she thinks is "Naruto-kun". And i agree too, in the manga doesn't show "all" , Kishi can't draw everything, and she's a side character. That's why databook exists. 

But you can't judge her performance solely on the DB the manga its what matters the most not the DB besides when it comes to the powers feats and such the DB is inconsistent in some parts to . The manga is the original work and you should take the evidence from there and judge the character by what the manga shows for example   you can't say that Naruto is able to pull a Chidori or is good in Genjutsu just bc the DB "says it"  you have to at least have some basis  confirmation/evidence for that shown in the manga in order to claim that  , side character or not its not an excuse for that it just means that she's not so relevant to the story as a whole after all how many side characters we had who has shown amazing feats in just a panel or two ?

 

It doesn't take to much to do that  but yet again Kishimoto in the manga presents Hinata like this he has shown her focus on Naruto is doing more harm for her then good that she doesn't think to much and as an evidence we have Sakura reprimanding her for her actions we have no evidence outside of this that she has some batlle smarts , so I rather believe in  this what the manga shows and presents then those "feats" that I don't even know how much accurate they are in the first place.

Why ? It was a normal shocked reaction , after you see the guy who was your teammate wanted to kill you and burn your village not to long ago of course you would react like that I really see nothing romantic in there .

I would pick 663. While it's cute and all that she supports his dream, we were already aware of that years ago. We know that Sakura is willing to put her life on the line for her teammates, that's just the kind of person she is and that's one of the many reasons why she's my favorite character.

 

Sakura was said to surpass Tsunade and what better way than to show her progress with the activation of Byakugou. I'd keep 631 because it's a nice set up to her power-up. But this is just my opinion.

Kishi get many inspiration for this manga.
There're three big inspiration dragonball, Akira, and the matrix.
I think hxh big influence is chunin exam.
The team seven dynamic come from slam dunk.

I kind of disagree with naruto = hxh.

He grew up with DBZ and was inspired by it but nearly as much as YYH or HXH, hell Naruto IS HXH just less gore and not in modern times.
 
Ironically both HXH and Naruto have the plot of "chasing after someone"
 
Naruto is chasing after Sasuke cuz "lolnakama" and Gon is searching for his father who abandoned him as a child the difference ofcourse is that Gon searching for his father was the whole point of his journey, with the saving Sasuke it feels like the entire series got sidetracked into....this.

Naruto still needs to save Sasuke despite the fact that there's way more interesting things to focus on which we wont be able to since we only have 1 more story arc after this.
 
And Gon just recently found his father Ging and the story is still continuing without there ever really being a purpose at this point. But now it looks like we're following Ging as the main character now which is kind of interesting I guess.
 

Naruto would not exist without HxH, sure there's influence of DBZ but it's HxH that it's credited for, many parts of the plot are a rip off version of the Hunter x Hunter plot.
Sasuke is like almost a carbon copy of Kurapika.
