besides the romanticism in DB is pretty much nonexistent, even the same toriyama told so.

What does hair color have to do with Hinata being with Naruto anyway? Its just like saying Hinata has long hair like Kushina and that means Hinata will be with Naruto in the end because of that? Wtf? Wow just wow to the NH and SS fans.

I also heard an argument on NF where they tried to use an YYH parallel "Sakura isn't going to end up with Naruto, just look at YYH Botan didn't end up with Yusuke but Keiko did"
 
Apparently nobody told this person that Botan and Yusuke had no interest in each other and at the beginning of the series everyone looked at YusukexKeiko as canon except for Yusuke and that's just because he was hard-headed and stubborn

Oddly enough, I actually compared it once to Bleach, but not the idea of personalities, rather the circumstances. I once said maybe because Rukia is a shinigami and Ichigo isn't beginning born one, the mangaka will secretly point out that it can't be done. I once point out that Bonton and Yusuke wouldn't work because of what I just said, so the mangaka just make one pairing canon ASAP.

But that was me a long time ago.

I wonder why we have to compare to DBZ. I wonder why no other anime/manga has to be compared.

Its because its the most recognizable anime in America right next to Pokemon, Sailor Moon and Speed Racer in kitten

 

and is the most popular out of all of them, a large majority of NH fans are American, you see where i'm going with this.

He grew up with DBZ and was inspired by it but nearly as much as YYH or HXH, hell Naruto IS HXH just less gore and not in modern times.

 

Ironically both HXH and Naruto have the plot of "chasing after someone"

 

Naruto is chasing after Sasuke cuz "lolnakama" and Gon is searching for his father who abandoned him as a child the difference ofcourse is that Gon searching for his father was the whole point of his journey, with the saving Sasuke it feels like the entire series got sidetracked into....this.

Naruto still needs to save Sasuke despite the fact that there's way more interesting things to focus on which we wont be able to since we only have 1 more story arc after this.

 

And Gon just recently found his father Ging and the story is still continuing without there ever really being a purpose at this point. But now it looks like we're following Ging as the main character now which is kind of interesting I guess.

Another thing about the stupid theory Chichi=Hinata.
Chichi has never been a shy person, but simply a naive girl devoted to love, at least as a child. It's always been a strong girl from the beginning of the story...Before it was Yamcha who has approached her first. He make the court to her by deception (for dark purposes), she seemed even fascinated because she receives some advances but then she "makes" fun of him because Yamcha lacked an incisive and this ruined his smile.
She even hurts Muten Roshi in order to verify his legendary reputation and dares to rebuke him.
I'm sorry for NH fans, but the backgrounds of Hinata and Chichi are completely different.

Chichi was much beloved by his father, Hinata was despised by her own father beucase she was weak. Chichi has violent behavior, Hinata never did.

Thinking outside the box is a quality that is greatly valued by many. So NH/SS decided to be 'innovative' and started to use their own interpretation of thinking outside the box -Thinking outside of this manga and using other mangas as evidence .

coming from someone like me who is a DBZ fanboy I can safely say I love YYH more as a series.

 

You should definitely watch the anime series, and when you do funimation dub is a must they stick closely to the dialogue of the manga and yet they write the lines brilliantly and the voice acting is better.

 

Yeah Togashi and Kishi are really good friends, he said that YYH and HXH were among his favorites growing up.

 

He also said that he based Sasuke off of Hiei (and clearly Kurapika from HXH as well) and the Chunnin Exam is eerily similar to the Hunter Exam (in both what happens in the arc and the actual tests involved)
