*facepalms* an attack from 400km's away? Seriously these random numbers they sometimes come up with in Manga to make it sound awesome but in reality just makes it sound more ludicruos.

 

Yea but still I like it. they called in reinforcements and it was not a nonsensical reaon like"I could hear you call ing for help cause we're friends and that BS. At least Mashima is being more realistic that usual and giving some of the minor FT members time to shine

400km is ballistic rocket-like distance, but it's destructive power is ship, so nothing serious.

Oh, come on. Modern-day WMD's have wayyyy better range than that. You can't exactly accuse the manga being unrealistic if real-life equivalents can do much better than that.

 

 I knew that, my issue is with the actual pin point targetting that he did, it would have made more sense if they went with something along the line of havng a GPS tracker on his androids that allowed him to pinpoint the target. Shooting so accurately from that distance makes no sense. then again so is said beam being stopped by a single ship...specially considering it's supposed firepower Yes I know it's a magical ship but still kinda silly.

And? For all we know, Wahl could've designed the cannon beforehand (judging by the looks of it, one of his magics is Requip: Guns) to reach a max of 400km and more, just like how the military designs ballistic missiles to reach a certain radius. That, and Alvarez would've already predetermined FT's exact coordinates down to the latitude and Wahl would've made sure to upload the data to his weapons.

I mean, Zeref is practically a regular guest there, for crying out loud. You think he wouldn't have gathered useful info himself for his subordinates?

I'll honestly just say it to you: I think you're just complaining for the sake of complaining. If you're not enjoying the manga anymore, why are you still here?

Well my friend, if you ask me there is a difference between having critical thinking of a series for it's flaws and just being a negative nancy if you catch my drift. Like for Instance I don't enjoy EVERY aspect that Fairy Tail shows at times, like Erza Versus Minerva during the Tartarus arc being a prime example, Well actually Erza versus Minerva in general cause a lot of it is random BS. Then there was the first half of the Grand Magic Games Arc. But that doesn't mean I don't love the series, because I really love the story to death despite the flaws. I just enjoy pointing the flaws out cause that is one way to use my brain.  That said I'm not saying that anyone is being a negative nancy here, I just want to point out the difference so it doesn't lead to misunderstandings and cause an argument

That is absolutely true. I would criticize something if something doesn't make sense given the context of the story and goes against everything that the series has set in space. This is actually a good thing about FT (or bad, depending your view) as it gives the author enough leeway to do whatever he wants with universe's rule. (Except for that stupid Erza fight in Tartaros arc)

Well this chapter was better than previous chapters dispite not much happening. Typical Natsu all off on his own, screwing up everyones elses plans.

 

Erza was shown to be injured like usual after a battle, and no doubt she'll make a miraculous recovery when she needs to fight.

 

Seriously what have they done to Lisanna, she was so cute before the time skip, I don't know maybe because Mashima wanted to give her different look to Yukino or something and her new look is baffling, her hairstyle doesn't quite look right, and her clothes are even more baffling, she looked like a female wrestler with her getup. She seems to be the charactor that looks the most different after the skip.

I will say the chapter was intially good on my part, but then the final three pages came and I was like OMG THE DRAGNEEL BROTHERS ARE GONNA HAVE THEIR REUNION!!!

I didn't read about it being a 13 parter, seems a bit long considering not that much happened, maybe you are right and Mashima wants to flesh out the backstory more, maybe give MAkarov's mothera backstory with his old man, at most I'd say it would be a six parter with the current content.

 

I wonder if it will be it's separate mni-series or it will be like Kakashi Gaiden and run place of the regular episodes, which makes more sense as the anime must have caught up with the manga or come close.

My guess is that Mashima probably wasn't a fan of that style or rather too many has that? So I guess take the tomboy perk. That or maybe she's taking notes from Hinata on how to win the protagonist.
