From what I gather...

It looks like the other Rookies take a moment to appreciate the reunion of Team Seven, including Hinata. Then the Jyuubi goes wild, to which Naruto and Sasuke respond, but Sakura thinks back to the promise she made in the Forest of Death. How she wanted them to watch her back for once. That's when she goes into Byakugo, which Shizune makes comments about. Sakura has some thoughts about how she's always chased behind Naruto and Sasuke... There's also something about Tsunade. I'm not sure. After that, something happens to Sakura where she needs to be protected. At the end of the chapter, she more or less says that she's not going to sit back.

 

Which is pretty much what everyone has gather through the poorly translated spoilers.

At least we get a ton of Sakura goodness this chapter! I mean, you can't go wrong with that. Also, is it just Sakura on the spread? This volume seems to revolve a lot around her IMO...

Now, Sakura surpasses Shizune and her version is said to be even better than Tsunade's, therefore, surpassed her master too.

@Atheck Yeah, that's true. But Shizune had been training under Tsunade for years, longer than Sakura probably, but Sakura has already surpassed her senpai. So, she grows quickly and will continue to do so. Plus, in terms of medical ability, Shizune was second to Tsunade (at least in Konoha). I agree though, I wish we could have gotten SSM.

I may be wrong, but it sounds like Sakura is having a flashback of when she was with Tsunade. Sakura says something about how medical ninja should never die, so they shouldn't be too risky. Tsunade says "no kitten" (xD) but says that that's no reason to not fight on the front lines. Then she says that Sakura, above all her disciples, has inherited the power of the Sannin.

Not to undermine the accomplishment or anything since Sakura experiences the adversity that appears to plague most, if not all of Kishimoto's female characters, but surpassing Shizune isn't exactly the highest point of achievement. I apologize, it's just unfortunate that SSM will likely not be the enhancement which many of us were hoping for.

 

Oh well, if nothing else it seems that this should solidify Sakura as having reached Jonin tier in the eyes of everyone, including those who resent her character.

Just like we found out more about Sage mode when Naruto surpassed Jiraya so we will find out more about Australia ( yea even if its byakugo I'm calling it Australia from now on) and see if she really did surpass Tsunade or not.

 

If she didn't surpass her only Shizune then it means there will be another struggle for her in order to surpass her master.

Also Naruto surpassed his master and defeated his senpai ( Nagato ) with it.

Similar things can happen with Sakura.

Don't forget though, even if she surpasses Tsunade and contributes heavily to the fight she's still barely Jonin level and weaker than the other rookies.

I'm loving the sound of this translation. Sakura will definitely go far, and yeah, I think she's definitely between Jonin and Kage level for sure especially if she's taking down Juubi clones. LOL

It's crazy though... This seems to be her first time using this technique. I wonder just how much chakra she actually needs for this technique because 3 years is flat out too much IMO. A year would of been better.
