Every once in a while there's that ONE fanfiction that you just can't get out of your head.

 

Remember the first one like that that I remember coming across, the writer had my favorite character's family kill him...and then go to iHop. ._. I guess that author really hated that character.

There was one last year where another of my favorite characters was driven mad from people thinking he was gay to the point he began harming himself in front of people (pulling his hair eye, clawing at his eyes, scratching his skin to the point of scarring) and was in a vegetable-like emotional state afterwards.

 

My gosh, those things haunted me. I don't think those have been the only ones, but I seem to remember them the most. Excuse me while I go buy more mind bleach.

According to NH fans they made a side by side comparison picture of if Naruto married Hinata and if he married Sakura. I can't find the picture at the moment so i'll just describe it for now until i find it
 
with the NS picture its they're house having a bug infestation problem, Naruto tries to get rid of it but f**cks up gets Sakura angry and the house ends up getting destroyed
 
with the NH picture they have the same problem but Shino comes by gets the bugs to leave and Naruto and Hinata bow their heads in appreciation.
 
Really you have to see this, its mind-numbingly retarded.

Is that really what they came up with? That sounds desperate.

I could see Sakura getting angry if Naruto's bad habits (like leaving food out) led to the infestation maybe, but I don't think it'd be like that.

Guess the point was supposed to be that Sakura would demand that Naruto fix it while Hinata would contribute to getting rid of them.

Oh come on now. That's a little bit extreme to describe a SasuSaku relationship, don't you think? I mean sure, if we go by Kage Summit Arc Sasuke, then that would definitely be SS in a nutshell (except the raping part ofc). But that's pretty redundant because Sasuke is going to be 'good' by this series' end. It's better to judge a future SS relationship with the expectations of Part 1 Sasuke, only more closed off and cold because of everything he went through. Not psychotic if this series' message of redemption has anything to do with it.

 

When I picture a SS relationship, I picture it's biggest issue being emotional neglect. Sasuke is not open about his feelings or acknowledging people--- I can never, ever picture him giving a love confession to a girl even if he did love her--- and probably not treating Sakura any different than most people. He'll still be indifferent, so indifferent in fact you wouldn't even be able to believe she was partner.

 

This would take a toll on Sakura. She would desperately search for any sign of Sasuke really caring for her, always doubt the sincerity of his feelings and that might make her clingy. Sasuke will get annoyed with the clinginess because he's not going to show his feelings much and wouldn't want to. Because Sasuke never really shows he cares in the first place, any particularly blunt and remark from him would hurt Sakura even more because she doubts he cares so much.

 

Contrary to what SS fans think, Sakura would be very unhappy in this relationship. All her paranoia, doubts, and lack of feeling appreciated or loved would make her miserable even if she truly did love Sasuke. She doesn't know how Sasuke's mind works and Sasuke will always be a little too selfish to care particularly how she feels. I always thought Sakura expected herself to be happy with Sasuke, but only with the idea she could  accomplish Sasuke opening up to her and giving her affection when he wouldn't give that to any other girl. Sasuke can't really do that so Sakura would be asking too much.

 

This is why I hate nearly every SS fanfic and end up clicking the back button. They think Sakura will be happy, but don't write Sasuke as himself. They write him as an OCC person that's more like Naruto and can be loving/affectionate when Sasuke will always be emotionally restricted in that.

Yeah, I know. But I don't even remember part 1 Sakura being that bad with Naruto. Their were lots of moments that showed that she actually cared about him.

Lol I wasn't mad at you. I was just saying as much as I hate SS, it biggest problem wouldn't be that level of abuse if it ever happened. More lack of affection from Sasuke would be the biggest problem. I don't think Sakura's the type of person to be happy with someone like that.

Truth.

 

I know what seems wrong with her portrayal in that comic now. She's shown as being entirely selfish, when she's moved past that. And yeah, even in part one she wasn't quite that selfish.
