Oh! Well in that case yeah maybe I would want to have more shokugekies between them it would spice up their rivalry and their relationship (   ) , but I just can't see it now at all especially after this new chapter  .

This is the first time I see Soma sweating in a shokugeki being so tensed like feeling the pressure!!? . Its kind of worrying bc Hayama looked so confident and made those girls have foodgasm with his Juniper Berries sauce!?  . But on the other hand Soma serves the dish first and seems to gain composure in those last few panels  .

That's the best part of this chapter which is half of it or so and Soma's badass moment in the end  .

 

The other half (which I've been patient enough for the past couple of chapters) is again Hayama's overhype and d**k wanking by everyone especially by Gin who appears like the No.1 Hayama Fangirl *sigh* . I'm seriously starting to hate this BS (not to mention it happened only by tasting his sauce, really now)   . Seriously enough is enough I don't understand why the so much need for it and putting down Soma like he's not even on pair to his special nose magnificence . The underdog card is so overplayed and there's no need for it at this point not after everything Soma has done and proved . If it continues like this it seriously raises the flag for an asspull of Soma's inevitable win unless (and I'm willing to wait for the next chapter) the explanation for Soma's dish outshines everything even that overhype for Hayama otherwise its gonna be an utter disaster and a hell of a bad writing .

Literally, the best part of this chapter was the flashback with Sorina, imao. Hayama here, Hayama there. I hate those twins btw. At least Alice's father has a neutral attitude.

 

Kind of weird how Soma went first. The only other time he went first (and obviously was gonna loose) was against his father in the Polar Star Dorm.

Well the twins certainly did a 180 once they realised who Souma was, I find them amusing, kid geniuses, the might be talented but at the same time they are still kids, so they behave pretty much like kids.

 

Not sure how this battle is going if i'm honest, on one side seeing everyone's reaction makes you think Souma has won, but at the same time with him going first, and the way Hayama is being blown up as some sort of super god or something that surpasses even Erina makes you think maybe he's won, maybe it will end up as a close call, and Souma will win using the same reason Hayama was shown to have won the first time.

 

Does anyone else think Alice's father looks like Phoenix Wright? Or is it Kazuya from Tekken?

Apollo Justice to me actually. And yeah I found it amusing they started fan-girling soma after finding out he is the one that won against Alice. PRETTY sure Soma has the match in the bag, all things considered.

Looking at the last chapter Soma's "victory" more and more will look like an asspull! Even the last chapter didn't do Soma any service when the author keeps dik riding Hyayama and again overhyping him to no end and putting Soma down once again. I understand that authors do it for drama and all but I don't think they understand that this method 1. is overused as fuk and 2.its downgrading its kitten writing as it does nothing but ruins the MC's accomplishment its not satisfying and it ruins the MC and story itself basically the whole thing is a flop! A secret sauce or some sh#it like that is not gonna fix it when you overhype the other party and not to mention you make his dish more appealing for the audience/readers, what a fail.

 

After this I might even drop the manga, honestly I was expecting for this to be handled way better but it turns its another useless drama  .

I don't know about that well at least for me it already is I don't need to see the rest. I mean look at it this way, the theme of this Shokugeki was bear meat not better "sauce" and I think it was said that it will come down to whoever handles the bear meat better and you just saw in this chapter that Soe praised Hayama Bear meat as way better then Soma's, so you see.......how can Soma's "victory" be anything but a freaking cop-out!?

 

Nothing that the author can twist and pull out of his ars can make me feel like its a legit win bc he made a huge freaking mistake by overhyping that overrated nose god by downplaying his freaking MC and still continues to do it just so he can make "Oh look what a twist, I totally raised the suspense and fooled the audience" ugh its so stupid the more I think about it!  .

Hmm yeah fair enough. Anyway I'll let you know the result then. Although granted the sauce COULD fit the them of which brings out the flavor of the bear meat more, but yet that is still stretching all believable suspense

Well this weeks chapter reminded me (not that I needed reminding mind you,) why I dislike Hayama so much, he is the same mold as Sasuke, that overused arrogant prodigy angle, where women flock to him,where he is talented simply because of one trick, and that superiority complex where they behave like they won by a landslide despite it being a close match. In many ways he's worst than Sasuke.

 

Well let's be honest here they had to go for another angle if they were to beat Hayama, the competition was designed to take advantage of his skills, if he lost a battle on smell, it would not have gone down well with fans. If Souma won on the meat alone, it would have been because Hayama slipped up not because Souma out did him. So the mangaka had to go for the full dish to make it look like a convincing win, otherwise, on the meat alone it would look like a arsepull win, atleast this way they can make it appear less like an arsepull, probably will still be an arsepull but it will appear less like one than if one the meat side alone.

This chapter was silly, explanation of the Stripping Phenomenon was weird, I don't think anyone would be able to say that in real life without cracking up. I really just want the results to be announced already, so I can move on from Hayama and is superiority stench.

I feel for Hayama, I actually like him and I felt he was a good rival for Soma but I do want him to lose for Soma could sbow him that he always had a choice
