Joke aside, I agree with you on the big cast influencing the story progression. But you have to admit that the pacing can get really slow sometimes. Like when I read Bleach in volumes I don't feel it as much. But weekly? It's a torture at times. Like the shinigami going to the royal realm, we've spent 10 chapters with them stuck in the exact same place and something unexpected always happening.

Now with the Emperor (new Soul King???) remaking a new world in SS, I wouldn't be surprised if they get stuck in SS for another 30 chapters while Ichigo's group get massacrated by the VR. Remind me DBZ sometimes lol.

 

LOL   that's typical Bleach for you. I agree those never-ending preparations are ridiculous, but dunno, I just... don't seem to mind the 'flaws' of Bleach anymore. At least the characters stay true to themselves. After I saw how bad, and I mean BAD, manga can get *cough* Naruto *cough*, it's kinda refreshing to read good ol' Bleach, where things haven't made a 180. Anyone feels the same?

I often complain about the pacing of bleach, but I am really enjoying the overall arc right now. Even though i know it won't happen, I can't help but wish it would hurry with the pace, just because I'm excited for the final fight. This war arc is way better than Naruto's by far.

Ywach is the final villain, this is the last arc. I think that Ichigo will be forced to stay in the Soul Society as a captain, and I think Grimmjow will end the series as Ichigo's right hand. Honestly, I was hoping Ulquiorra would come back and at the end, he would've Ichigo's second, and Grimmjow would be Ichigo's third, but that was a longshot lol

I'm betting my money on Aizen, he's got that factor of can't be trusted the moment he came back into the story.

As for Grimmjow I think he'll live.

Aizen could be, and I wouldn't mind that, I just think that if he escapes, Ichigo would put him in his place before Ywach was finished.

Yhwach seems like final villain material but it'd be pretty cool if Aizen was suddenly the last fight since he was the original villain. I think it's 30/70 chance.

Either way would be fine by me, I just want a good final fight. Lol Kenpachi wants to fight Ichigo as well XD honestly, I think that scene was more a subtle show of respect and acknowledgement between the two, judging by Ichigo's smile. I think that they respect each other a lot.

On a more serious note, I would like for Yhwach to be the final villain, because we had Aizen as a villain already and it would be interesting to see him play a different role. A new Soul King, maybe? Trapped in a diamond lol

Lol I know, don't remind me. I'm past the point where I mind the pacing too. But it's true that it gets slow.

 

Nevertheless I enjoy the chapter as they come. I haven't downright hated a chapter in a long time. As far as the final vilains go, I'm down for both Yhwach and Aizen, whatever Kubo decides. But I think Yhwach is the final vilain. Aizen might try to pull something but he won't be the big bad. A friend of mine and her weird theories had me buying into the idea that Ishida would be the final vilain. Like Yhwach would use his body and fight against Ichigo. Her theory is that Yhwach's body wont be able to withstand all that power and might explode or something at some point. Then Yhwach will go to Ishida who has the same letter as him and drank his blood.

Cue in Ichigo crying for his husband

 

It's been pretty much foreshadowed that Ichigo would become a shinigami by the end of the manga. In that interview Kubo made before this arc he said was still stuck in the shinigami representative phase for now. So shinigami Ichigo will be a go. The question is whether he'll end up in SS or the Royal Realm.

It's just another set up chapter at least this time the main group already managed to reach it's main destination, however if next one feels like this too then I will have no doubt that things are going awfully slow

I told him he should just read it through a Volume standpoint because it's the pacing is less slow compared to waiting for it on a weekly basis.

I haven't post it yet but in my review, I said volume would help but even so, it's terribly slow pace like you can have one volume just talking about going there and it could have been in 5 chapters or less. So even in overall, it's terribly paced.

Thank you for putting this in words cause I was struggling to get my point across lol. The pacing is terrible, and the writing has become terrible as well. 

 

And to be really honest, I'd rather read Naruto's War arc all over again than to read Bleach's War arc.

It has to be Yhwach. If it were Aizen that would be like Sasuke all over again. Then we'd get 5 chapters of straight bull-kitten and the entire fight would be pointless.  

 

I mean, Yhwach is a lame villain but at least we won't be making a 180 turn around and fight a guy we've already defeated.
