What incentive could Pierrot have for fostering that abomination? It's not like any fan of nH/SS who denounced NS for the "violent" dynamics that isn't a hypocrite would be supportive of that drivel. There's nothing to be gained from implying anything since the series is coming to an end after the anime is finished. And do you want to know something funny? This so called "development" is all derived from the film created by the studio that did everything it could to paint the NaruSaku relationship in a bad light. If you ask me, they can shove their crap into their collective skulls and let it fester there.
According to Kishi's post Naruto Gaiden interview. This was the story that he wanted to write and he said 100% of the story line for this movie is his idea. So perhaps he just continued NS through the second generation with the mixture of NaruSasu because he pitied Hinata.
