I think you're reading way to much into things.

They probably just drew the buildings to Show the Reader that something has changed and that it's the future and didn't think any further at all.

Lol, am I? For me it took 2 seconds to compare what we had, and what we got now. They already draw skyscrapers, why change EVERYTHING onto village desing. And it's funny, we can't see where is Kurama taking nap.

For me, chapter 700 is more Marketing for this stupid mini series than giving the fans a sadisfying ending.

They just don't care anymore .... "Ah yeah, we Need Shikamaru in this Panel again" "Allright Boss!" "Uhm, but this are different cloths!" "Nah, who cares! Ist all about the cildren anyway ...".

I would like it to be that, but...oh well. Just watching on what people are finding in panels of 700 is make laugh. Clothes, faces, details, resemblance and etc, just so many things that pointing out some kitten is going on with this chapter, and some question here:

- Buildings, none of them are like we last saw them (when Sasuke came for hiden "secret" to find out). Why?

- There is no Hokage building can be seen in village (last time - it was there) and Naruto is inside of it? How?

- You can't find building that meeting is taking it place (from image on last page). 

Exactly  699 is indication that something is very very wrong with this picture and 700 confirms it that is how I see it to me both 699 and 700 are connected just don't know how or rather from what point  is the IT happening  . 699 can be rectoned  we just need to see how and from what point did this IT started is it from when Sakura was put under genjutsu  or when Madara did it perhaps even Kaguya either way  all the the dreams seem to be intertwined so the starting has to be from some point .

Its village hidden in the leafs not in the buildings think about that for a second its should be enough indication that something isn't quite right with this picture among the other things .

we used to have almost everything.

 

the developments, the parallels, the accordance to the theme, etc.

 

Now, we're like those rich kids, stripped off their fortune.

 

defenseless, lost, with not much place to go to.

 

I miss those days were characters act like themselves, and logic works.

 

still, i'm happy that despite all the shizstorms, people here didn't throw NS away.

 

Just because the majority thinks NS is nothing now, and all its developments were treated as something insignificant,

doesn't mean that what we witness in the past were wrong.

 

Those NS moments will forever remain in the manga that i grew up with.

 

Not even an epilogue nor a HighDef Movie could take that away.

 

To be honest, the theories/speculations here doesn't give me much hope anymore, not because it isn't well-thought or plausible.

I just don't trust the people behind the movie and the last chapter anymore.

But these theories do make me happy so i keep on reading stuffs here. its more of a personal satisfaction.

I'm tired of proving my NS to other people. I'll just love what i love.

 

Plus this theories, gives me the assurance that i wasn't wrong in choosing NS until the very end.

Its a beautiful relationship... and a lot of great and beautiful people who supports it.

It is straight Forward:

- Look, Sakura supports his dream and holds his happiness in higher regard than her own

- Look, Iruka says they portray Heaven and Earth

- Look, Yamato implies that Sakura loves Naruto at the HEAVEN AND EARTH Bridge

- Look, Sakura hugs Naruto in front of the whole village

- Look, everyone is looking at them smiling, even Hinata, who just recently confessed to him, they are the CENTER OF ATTENTION

- Look, Sakura might have lied about her Feelings for Sasuke, but her goal is to Keep Naruto save and she is willing to sacrifice everything for that...

- Look, a comparison between Sakura and Kushina is made and Yondaime approved it ...!!!

- Look, out of all People, its SAKURA, who is destined to save Narutos life AGAIN

I used to have this SS / NH (which has ItaSaku too lol its more of a drama though) fic back in those days...

it was quite well-received.. didn't imagine i'll be getting more than a hundred reviews but i took a break from it. tried to reread the manga again for enjoyment and to get more ideas for my fic.

 

ended up making it NaruSaku but i never get to publish that part though.

I'm not much of a writer but when I wrote that, i just simply let the characters flow and do things on their own.

Some of the events there, surprisingly turn almost the same as the ones in the manga.

I couldn't believe it at that time, and try to swerve it back to SS NH but couldn't, thus ending up to support NS entirely.

I was hoping Kishi would yield to the same thing too, but 699-700 happened so i guess he had other things in mind

The only way Kishimoto could have made the switching of pairings look acceptable was to make a sudden break with the story's history and replace it with something else. That's what the last two chapters are. And the movie is a giant retcon, and now he's got his money riding on a next gen series. 

 

Our ship didn't lose. It was supported and there. Kishimoto unapologetically traded it to create hype.
