Sorry for the late reply. The character I was referring to in my NS/NH comparison a while back with a few other ships is from a books series called Warriors. It's a series I've been reading since I was little and it's a very long fantasy series. It's technically considered a children's/young teens book, but it has a lot of mature themes in it like death, laws, religion, betrayal, revenge, coup d'état, politics, discrimination, Clan rivalry/competition, homes getting devastated, border fights etc.

 

The hero of the story is named Firestar, a character from a pampered lifestyle that was taken in by one of the nicer Clans called ThunderClan (basically the equivalent of Konoha) and trained to be a warrior (equivalent of a ninja in Naruto). But because of his background and how he had no blood connections to the Clan he joined, he was discriminated against and largely seen as "useless and pampered" who was thought as disloyal by many at first except a few Clanmates and his leader. He wanted to prove his own worth to his Clan and get acknowledged, but was very compassionate and didn't always follow the rules if it got in the way of helping someone (even rivals) so he sometimes got in trouble for that lol. Ironically he became leader of his Clan eventually.

 

The character sort of like Hinata? Her name was Spottedleaf. She wasn't shy, but she was extremely sweet. I can only count the number of times she lost her temper on one hand. Like Hinata with Naruto, she was one of the first that saw how special Firestar was and grew to love him deeply. But she couldn't be allowed to be with Firestar because of her duty. She was the healer (equivalent of medic-nin) of the Clan and one of the laws was that the healer could never have a relationship or children because they worried they would put ahead their family over the others. With the risk of not spoiling too much, something happened between the two of them that left them permanently unable to be together. She went away for a long time.

 

Now enter the hot-tempered one: Sandstorm (I know they all I have weird names lol). When Firestar first joined the Clan, she hated Firestar. She made fun of him for not being related to any of them and thought he was too soft to ever be a worthy warrior. But after Firestar saved her life, she realized she was wrong about him. She started interacted with him more, became one of his closest friends, and eventually fell in love with him. She helped him through a lot while Spottedleaf was away and Firestar fell in love with her.

 

When Spottedleaf realized Firestar actually loved Sandstorm, she suppressed most of her feelings and encouraged him to be with her because she realized Sandstorm knew him so much better now, was there for him when she couldn't be, and that Sandstorm could make him happy. Spottedleaf didn't love Firestar any less of course, but she accepted it as long as happy, even eventually dying to protect to Sandstorm and by default Firestar's happiness (she even said so). It was quite sad and touching actually.

 

Spottedleaf was a more selfless, responsible character than Hinata is, but I'll admit the SpottedxFire was reminiscent of NH. She revolved a lot around Firestar and you could even argue if you read the books her love didn't make much sense because of how much time they actually spent together compared to how much apart. She wasn't the one Firestar was ever meant to be with and didn't know him best, but I appreciate Spottedleaf's selflessness nonetheless and how much more level-headed she was about duty and love. She is what Hinata could be, truthfully.

 

I'm actually more of a Spottedleaf fan than of the FirexSpotted couple.  FirexSand was always the better option: there was development, Sandstorm supported him and loved him fiercely in her own way, and understood him the best. I ship both FirexSand and FirexSpotted. Sandstorm and Spottedleaf were very different, but they were both good characters to me.

 

This series is an extremely good series IMO, one of my favorites along with the Percy Jackson Series. The characters aren't exactly people though-- they're wild cats actually.  But they're so humanized with their laws and the rivalry between the four Clans sharing territory that it's almost like they are people. It has a lot of realistic elements that are similar to the Narutoverse with the Five Great Nations and even real life. The discrimination is against housecats (That's what Firestar, the main character, was born as) and Half-Clan cats (cats whose parents come from different Clans; it usually makes their own groups distrust their loyalty because of the Clan's rivalry).

 

So I guess if you don't mind the fact that they're wild cats living in the wild and competing with each other, then it might not be too bad. It's not for everyone though.

off topic. . iv been busy for the last 6 days. and i couldnt sign in to h&e  and i missed it .   . however i just watched the episode 371 and . omg when did naruto said ( hinata)   . i thought he said ( every one) . there must be a hitler reaction video for this. .lol  .    . they just keep forcing hinata which leads for us to dislike her more.. 

 

 

and i red some comments about the anime also made moments for sakura. so its normal if they did that with hinata. i disagree . cause sakura is narutos love interest  and it is obvious .so when they do  extra  moments it will go with the story.  but when they give us  the forced  hinata moments it hurts the story and confuse the people who only watch the anime more..   any way it happened .maybe they will make the 631 moment strong thats why they needed to give hinata fans something to hold on into. (i hope so). so is it just me or ?.

I don't know what underlying meaning, if any, there was to Goku's remark in that panel, but it's certainly not accurate to Chichi's portrayel earlier in the manga.

They're not exactly like the "hulking mountains" which Hinata fans like to glorify her as having, but flat? Goku must not remember the meeting he had with Chichi during the 23rd tournament. I would hardly call the woman seen above "flat-chested". 

 

It's nitpicking, either way. Physical details like these are minor and should not be taken seriously.    

Lol, ChiChi's costume reminds me of Sakura's from The Last...
