With the last chapter having a notice that the next chapter will be titled "prelude to the final showdown". Does that mean Mashima is wraping up the series?

 

Considering that war arcs could last years who knows....I think the manga was originally meant to last 250 or 350 chapters so it's already gone over two years more than originally planned.

 

This chapter reminded me of something that I forgot, I remember when I started reading this, I felt the story was a story being told within a story, ie what we are reading is Lucy's version of what is happening and when ever we get the moments with Lucy writing in her journal, we are getting clued that this is a fairy tale based on real life events as told by Lucy.

This was a good chapter I'm not going to lie seeing Freed,  Natsu, Wendy, Gajeel, and Bisca preparing the counter attack quickly against Ajeel was kinda cool to see. The whole motion sickness affect to the dragon slayers was funny, but it was also kinda old and what made me laugh more was when Mavis realized that she forgot the dragon slayers had motion sickness.  Now it could've been a great chapter but then Erza shows up at the end and that's the only thing that's got me worried at the moment for next chapter.

Well it was a great chapter, I have nothing more to say about it now except that I loved the action, I'll have to see what happens next. I'm also pretty glad to see the war already starting, I was afraid the preparations and flashbacks were gonna last a lot longer.

To each of their own. I guess I'm still burned with the greatest explanation. I don't even hate her. I really don't. But yeah, that moment was something that all parody can easily use and joke about it. But who knows. Time to see how this goes down.

"It's about time she gets to shine"? What? Seriously? Since when doesnt she get to shine? All of her fights, every last one, are just major asspulls. There isn't a single one of her fights that are good.

She use to be up there with Gajeel, Natsu, and Gray for me back in the old days ,but ever sicne the grand magic games I've been loosing interest in her as a character.   So this next upcoming chapter really gets me worried when it comes to Erza I mean if she gets her ass kicked then that's defintely going to amount to something, but I would rather have Laxus be the one to take him down given the situation that happened previously when they were trying to save Macorov.
