There's no Sorina ship tease (recently). I need Sorina ship tease, and more importantly more prominence from Erina because she got some great character development but gets about as much character focus as she usually does -__- Oh well I hope it changes.

Well this weeks chapter was okay I guess, though seeing Hayama at the end annoyed me no end....seriously don't like that guy, though that probably stems from him winning the final, still don't think he should have won. The only reason he was given the win was to teach Souma the lesson about cooking for someone, if you read the chapters and reactions, it looked like Souma's dish was the one that got the best reaction.

Yup i also dislike him ... smells of Sasuke vibe from him ... typical arrogant cool guy, that will get away from punishment. I bet he has a lot of fans already because of that reason alone. The author really needs to take extreme cautions not to create character like Sasuke or Hinata, a side character that get tons of popularity that eventually doom the whole manga.

I disagree....Akira is shown to be different from Sasuke with some similarities and the story is gonna have some importance for him. I wouldn't compare this Naruto or Bleach, I get that it ended badly but doesn't mean that Shokugeki is gonna be the same like those two since the characters are already being developed unlike in Bleach or Naruto where we waited for some characters to do anything, comparing them just ruins the story because you're expecting something to be bad since something else ended bad

If they were rushing, they could have at least extended the anime to 24 episodes. There will be three episodes left for the Staigiare arc (dunno how to spell it), and then it's just gonna end like that. There is enough material in the manga to adapt after the Staigiare arc.

Yeah, they should have taken it slow with this arc since they skip a chapter or so, it would have felt much better but I will be forever bitter of that Erina scene since its a huge deal for her and to somewhat understand that she isn't who she seems

Honestly, episode 11 was like the best episode of this season so far... Hisako and Soma & Erina and Megumi interactions were adorable.

I'm kind of hoping Erina will permanently reside in the Polar Star Dorm once everything is over. It'd be good for her to escape the loneliness in the mansion.

I think she will, I kinda feel a vibe for her where she given a main protagonist kind of role because of the development she got

Yeah, I'm a bit mad, too, but J.C. Staff decided to also animate Taboo Tattoo this season, so... I'm just hoping for a season 3 tbh. They'd be pretty dumb if they didn't tbh.

 

Hahaha, you remind of those spoilers the author tweeted last year. He said the main female MC was Megumi for now or so, but it'd change in the future. Looks like Erina is really slowly getting into that main female protagonist role.

 

Imao, I just found out something funny. Alice's mom and Irisviel from Fate/Zero looks so much alike! Oh, and both have the same voice actress. Coincidence? I don't think so

Could be coincidence, she is one of the popular choices for young mothers with personality, though just as likely they saw the character design, saw the similarities with the hair an eyes and decided to have some fun with it.

 

The second season has so far been a disappointment, largely down to them rushing, hopefully the rush factor hasn't hurt viewership and Bluray sales, as I would like to get a third season....Actually would I? Do I want to see the Azami parts animated?

I'm just curious, what has been everyone's favorite arc in this entire series so far (not anime, but manga)? For me it was prob the Training Camp arc, which was actually quite some time ago tbh... Oh, and I liked "Erina's development" arc/moments.

I was kind of joking, but they might have scouted her b/c she was pretty good in pulling of a "foreign" accent. Alice's mom suddenly becoming fluent in Japanese was one of my favorite scenes in the anime alongside Jun knocking out Soma, imao. Can't stop laughing about those scenes tbh.

 

And yeah, I absolutely agree, season 2 was truly a disappointment. Even if the Autumn election arc is not my favorite arc, it still deserved some justice in its execution. I'm pissed off that they skipped a lot of moments in b/w the elections. What about Megumi and Soma visiting that Kindergarten? Is OVA gonna be the answer again, or what? And as for season 3, I definitely wanna see it coming. Azami- not so much. But I wanna see the Elite 10 animated and see Erina finally getting some spotlight in the anime. The hate towards Erina is still pretty big in the anime only fanbase.

Yeah, he did. He revealed quite some spoilers last year. The one with Erina developing feelings for Soma in the future, and the one with Megumi having two personalities (imao). The Megumi one might be a Yandere side of her? Who knows.

Are there any announcements/news that there will be Season 3!?  

Btw I agree with everyone here S2 was to fast paced with so many moments dropped off that it affected its quality *sigh* . It was not bad but it wasn't good either but still watchable imo.

 

As for the last chapter and the past few, they surely hyped Hayama over the moon with this sh#t , I really really hate when they do that its so freaking annoying for numbers of reasons not to mention how easily it can turn into a catastrophe if the author can't make the reverse looks acceptable/realistic, so I hope they know what they're doing *sigh*.
