This is typically used as proof that Sakura is still in love with Sasuke. While her thoughts aren't revealed to us, her expression says a lot. Whether or not she still has feelings for him, she knows he's not a good guy. So if she still has feelings for him, I doubt she still wants to be with him.

I just struggle so much to believe 540 was referring to her not loving Sasuke. I almost can't explain it. Sakura looked so shameful when she thought of Sasuke. Her regretting ever loving Sasuke because of who he turned out to be doesn't make sense. I don't think she'd regret her feelings for Part 1 Sasuke.

 

Sakura just looked so upset ... too upset for me to believe her feelings for Sasuke are entirely in the past. My interpretation of 540 is that Sakura thinks she still loves Sasuke but because of what 675 said, she hasn't realized yet she doesn't love Sasuke anymore. And she hasn't realized she loves Naruto either IMO.

 

540 is just so confusing, but one thing we should all be able to agree on: it's certainly not anything positive for SasuSaku.

It's questionable whether or not she wants him now, I'll be pissed if she wants him after the war. Doubt she will though.

If she was smart she would choose a boy that treats her like an angel instead of a boy that has good looks and is most likely to probably do something behind her back

I hope one day I'll be able to love as deep as the Uchiha (without being arrested, since you know, murder is kind of illegal).

540 was an obvious red hearing if you guys know what that  means , if Sasuke was ever this "Great Guy"  even in P1 then he wouldn't have done the things he did but be more like Naruto the actual great guy its simple as that there is no P1 or P2 when it comes to the person you really are its our actions that define us who we really are and this is the case with Sasuke also , a great guy a great person would have never ever done the things that Sasuke did this is the meaning of 540 .

 

And I don't think that I need to repeat myself for the infinite time that Sakura didn't know who Sasuke is/was she doesn't understand him at all , even in P1 what she loved is her own image of him and refused to believe that there was darkness in him (FOD scene)  and lets be honest in here Sasuke wasn't this great guy even in P1 he wasn't a monster like he is now but he definitely wasn't a great guy either  his attitude and treatment toward her was kitten not a quality of a "Great Guy" either so I don't know what there is to love about him in here even in P1 . 

 

Simply putted in the Kage Summit and 540 is Sakura finaly acknowledging that darkness in Sasuke something that Sakura refused to believe in  P1 (FOD) , and the read hearing is actually the "Great Guy" thing  whoever she loves must be a great guy right ? Now if Sasuke isn't the "Great Guy" in her life who she loves then who do you think it is ? I think its pretty much obvious who that guy actually is it starts with an N and finishes with an O .

 

I hope one day I'll be able to love as deep as the Uchiha (without being arrested).

We all hope that one day will be able to love as deep and strong as them  their love is just perfect like that you know   .

Both Sakura and Naruto want the Sasuke of Part 1. While you can argue Sakura doesn't understand him even back then as much as you want, the truth is Sakura still had feelings for that Sasuke. He wasn't a monster and maybe he wasn't great back then, but he did still care for them and Sakura knows this. Remember how Sasuke asked who hurt her in the Curse mark form? Regardless of how much Sakura had to do with that, Sakura still saw that.

 

Sasuke wasn't always a bad person. He was jerk in Part 1, but he wasn't terrible. He just changed. Sakura has no reason to be ashamed of her feelings for P1 Sasuke as far as she's concerned. What she would be ashamed of is still thinking she had feelings for P2 Sasuke. That's what 540 meant imo.

 

It's a red herring in the sense everyone will believe she loves Sasuke and not Naruto, but 675 is still there and Sakura confused over Naruto is still there as well.

Its a fact that she doesn't understand him her confession proves this the most if she does then please tell me in what way she does ? And yes she had feeling for a false Sasuke  the Sasuke in her head or do you think she loved the real him ? Yes he cared as a teammate I never denied this I even said that he wasn't a monster , but that care doesn't override his treatment of her as a whole or do you think him putting her down and smacking that plate is a quality to love him or that of a great guy ? Still you missed my point the talk is she loving a great guy and a great guy Sasuke certainly isn't wasn't ever those are not the qualities of a great person or a definition for one .

 

Sasuke was an a**hole but still that doesn't make him a great guy does it now ? As for the Fod scene to me that looked more like an excuse for hurting the sound nins and testing his power then (remember his dream before he waked up) his care in here failed since he was so obsessed with his power and his lust  for it  then Sakura's well being , I'm not saying that he didn't care but his lust for power and destruction hurting those guys  was greater than that since Sakura noticing his darknes but refusing to believe in it . Either way this is just my opinion on this scene .

 

Fod showed that there was darkness in him and  a great one for that matter that Sakura refused to see this indisputable . Like I said there is no P1 or P2 its our actions that defines us through our whole life what kind of a person we really are if he was great even in P1 he wouldn't have resorted to the things he did in P2 .  

 

You can say that its a red hearing in that sense yes , either way the answer is obvious she loves the great guy in her life that is Naruto since Sasuke was definitely not that guy by her in 540 and 675 proves this all we need is the realization from her which Kishimoto is stalling for obvious reason .

How do I defined it ? Well I would defined it as  She still have lingering feelings for Sasuke , and she still hasn't figured out her feeling for Naruto but she's very close to that realization . If she was still in love with him (Sasuke)  then there is no need to say that Naruto is close . Btw when was this interview ?

Because the Letter Nin throw that "great guy" thing as compliment to her  that whoever she likes must be a great guy but it backfired bc not everyone that Sakura loves/loved was a great guy in this case Sasuke so it made her feel low of herself she was very ashamed by it .

If I remember right, it was during the 2010 Jump Fest in December 2009.  It was the same interview (I think) where he got the question about Sakura's confession, and he seemed exasperated that there was so much fan focus on Hinata.
