The one thing I dont get is that if the fight is as long as the last one about 16 chapters than will the manga extend beyond the movie?That will make the movie not canon.So is Kishi finishing everything by chapter 700?

I've stated some reasons in a post fifty pages ago as to why this chapter was written like that, Kishimoto is not as stupid as you all think.

 

Silver medal? Once again I feel the need to explain it.

 

First love doesn't work out, alright? Another one comes by, you eventually get with him/her. Does that mean that he/she is a silver medal for you? And the cycle goes on and on until you find the right one. I understand that this is a ninja setting in which you are likely to die by the time you reach your twenties or thirties, but seriously, just stop. You all are annoying. (lol)

 

The movie hasn't even aired yet, hell, the manga still goes on for months as of now and you think that Naruto is her second choice. How hypocritical can you get?

I said i expected more for Kakashi. I mean, if Kakashi said Sakura's feelings for him have changed, i expected him to at least be surprised or a bit confused first. As he was in Sakura's confession to Naruto. I didn't meant to bash him >:

 

 

 

I understand why Kishimoto is doing this, but i totally don't like the way he has decided. After that, it's no way Sakura will pursue a relationship with him, and yeah, it's kinda the way Kishi wants to destroy completely the hopes of they being a couple.

I understand that his genjutsu was cruel and is psychological torture, but...i feel like this is the answer she has waiting for. The last time this exactly happened, he said "Thank you". I feel like Sakura is looking for that part of him and he remembers that. That's why he said she's annoying, it's a bit nostalgic. Then, he answers that "killing" her and at the same time "killing" that old Sasuke she's looking for. Or, at least her hopes of finding him. 

The last time, about her confession the databook said that now he's walking in the path of revenge and he can't let her in. 

 

Yes I thought about something along those lines too. IMO, it's very symbolic to pierce through someone's heart, and it's like Sasuke wants to kill her feelings.

By that logic Naruto could move on from Sakura and be with Hinata and she wouldnt be a silver medal

Why did this discussion steer into analysing Gai and Lee's bond?   I was just giving my opinion on that one incident in part 1.
 
Anyway, as you brought up Gai and Lee's bond, I want to give my opinion on this matter. I think Gai and Lee's bond is the bond that is best written in the entire manga. Yes, there are some dumb moments for comedy purposes but it doesn't take away the deep meaningful student and Teacher bond that Kishi highlights here.

It does when Guy's emotional bond to his student becomes a single-minded obsession that hinders his ability to recognise the consequences that his actions may have on the people who depend on him for leadership and protection. Kishi's interpretation of Guy's bond might be positive in nature, but looking at it from certain angles, it's unhealthily prejudiced.
 

Gai had an unwavering determination to give his all to make his student a better ninja. While everyone ridiculed Lee's weaknesses, Gai only saw Lee's strengths. He made Lee into the ninja he is today. Gai is the model Teacher.

Lee has always been grateful to Gai. He has nothing but the utmost respect for his Sensei. Lee has always been loyal and determined to follow Gai's dreams and ideals. Lee is the model student.

Compared to Naruto-Sasuke, Sakura-Sasuke, Kakashi-his students and many other bonds, Gai and Lee's bond stands head and shoulders above the rest. Its written better and it makes much more sense.

Okay then, good for Lee. He has someone who can personally identify with his inadequacies. But it in no way justifies the sacrificing of another man's life for the reasons already mentioned above.

This relationship is being looked at through rose-tinted glasses. The positives are emphasised while the repercussions it has on others is overlooked. If we're going to analayse the nature and specifics of something, then we should be prepared to factor in both the good and negative aspects of it.

And the dynamics between Lee and Guy shouldn't be compared to one that's contextually different such as the abusive infatuation that Sakura has for Sasuke. I think a more reasonable analogy could be made from the student/teacher relationship that Kakashi and Sasuke had during the Chunin Exams. While it wasn't as tight-knit, Kakashi did express a favouritism for Sasuke at the expense of Naruto and Sakura's development. We can only guess as to how they would have progressed at all if alternative teachers didn't fall into their laps in the form of the Sannin.

Neglect for their other students seems to be the common element between these two when confronted with someone whom they can identify with. Their personal attraction is understandable, albeit it is unfairly slanted.

About Kakashi in 675 this chap proved that its not what we all thought the NS point of view but he reaffirmed it from the  SS point of view that Sakura's love is divine for Saskue and she has matured yuck! Which makes no freaking sense bc it makes the chapters of her not trusting him doubting him and being ashamed of it   as her showing her divine love for Sasuke bc according to this chapter Sakura suffering is beautiful and those of true love that is what Kishimoto portrayed with this kitten . So I'm not so sure that he wants to "destroy it" After this chap I doubt that he wants to crush her "love"  for Sasuke .

 

To me right now it seems like he's going for an open ending  , there has been to much emphasis given on Sakura's feelings for Sasuke on the romantic side that with this chap it makes her feelings for Naruto as nothing more then platonic  she has never consider Naruto as someone she loves and this is where NS image suffers as viable canon couple this chapter destroyed all the NS development and the beauty of it and I don't know if it can be redeemed even if NS becomes canon .

 

About that DB quote are you sure that is not false bc that means once he's redeemed he will let her in which would mean SS besides I don't remember something like that being said ?

If that's the case it makes less sense that you posted about Naruto deserving Hinata when he's shown no interest in her. It baffles me how you talk about Naruto deserving Hinata while being aware of how one-sided they are, but at the same time talk like Sakura not deserving Naruto when she doesn't seem to be returning Naruto's feelings. Double standards much :/ ?

Yeah, Kishi is portraying her "love" as something "divine", that's the worst thing of this scene and no matter what he do, even if he fix all the other inconvenences, this will remain.

True. I believe now there are more chances of an open-ending, but it CAN be redeemed. A lot of possible scenaries if you ask.You can actually love two persons at the same time. It's not impossible. Her "confession" is not about she still prefers Sasuke. She's trying to save him, and once again she's not the one who can do it. 

Now, EVEN if Sasuke magically reveals he liked her/loved her or "still does", Kishi has killed the "possibilities" of this becoming canon. Kishi has portrayed her as the one who doesn't understand him, the one who can't save him with her love. Kishi has portrayed him as the one who makes her suffer, the one who doesn't return/don't want to return/won't return her feelings. SS has nothing more than negativity and that's why SS has been destroyed.

No, that's not what i'm saying. That's why SS has all this negativity in the story. When he becomes "good" nothing will happen between them. And it's on DB 1 if i remember well.

 

It seems like the pairings will be solved on the movie. How many? 3, 4 years later?

There are 500+ people commenting on this thread with each of them having the right to express their opinion and disappointment over the chapter or anything they didn't like and the mods being really very few in number as opposed to the users. Its difficult to track and keep a check on everyone. And....on top of that......they have a life of their own which goes outside the virtual world as well! They are not here to just look after us and this site....they have their life of their own as well.

you don't think I know that? I'm hardly on this site alot too because of things going on too, its just usually in the past the mods would say something about rude comments like that, I haven't seen them do it on any of the threads since the chapter, are they negative about the chapter too? 0.0 just those comments kinda hurt my feelings, I have feelings too.....
