Well, to be fair, George has been toying with his readers far longer than the series has been adapted to TV, way before it even became popular, let alone this popular. The first books were started in the early 90s, kind of when I was born. And he has always been a consistent sadist with his characters. 

Still, all things considered it's WAY WAY WAY better to have something like asoiaf (which is kind of in the middle between fantasy and history) than that puke-fest we had with Naruto. There will be no princess who gets all the fairy-tale she wants at the expense of others development and characters. Life is consistently kitten for everyone there. 

 

George has always been a sadistic evil mastermind, but at least he was consistent. There are no medals in asoiaf/GoT, only people who try to make it out alive. It's definitely something not suited for children, impressionable or tender-hearted people (unless one is masochist. Which I probably am...so whatves XD)

I know I know books/original is always better nothing beats it , and I did start reading asoiaf  when Tsuki gave that link but I lost it so I stopped there !!!   . But i'm to lazy to read any book now so I'll do it later

What happened in the last episode, regarding Jon, is exactly - more or less anyways - what happened to him in the last chapter of the last book. He has been stabbed, but we DON'T know whether he's dead or not, or if he is whether or not he'll come back.

Reading book synopsis and summaries can really help with this I swear.

Well now that you say that to me his dead seem more like Red Herring especially if you end it with a cliffhanger like that , its a common writing technique to build up the suspense . But this author is freaking Sadist he's the Devil so WTF I don't even know anymore !!! . Btw how does Snow "dies" exactly by who !?   .

Well she was inactive even before this ending she was busy with work and college as I remember I guess this ending just made it even more so .

 

I had a little chat with her on NF that she took a bar exam before the ending. Unfortunately, that awful day came and she didn't tell that if she passed or not.
