Not sure yet if Tsunade would be the one sacrificing herself similar to Chiyo, or the mysterious scroll from Minato would be used if it has the other half of Kyuubi (Yin Chakra) like Catsi's theory, or some other revival jutsu perhaps.

Or, we might get to see what power Itachi gave to Naruto. I can't forget that.

Also, I've been reading and wading through the pessimism, and so I might of missed it, but what if Naruto is lying here, and not Sakura. What if Sakura is indeed telling the truth, but is just nervous and flubs it up. But Naruto, being the self sacrificing hero he is, worries about her. If she's with me, she might get hurt. If she's with me and I die, she'll be heart broken and alone and I don't want that to happen. If she's with me...etc etc. What if he's telling her she's deluding herself to keep her away, so he can protect her. This isn't an uncommon theme in manga. The hero wants to protect the heroine, by keeping her away.

But then he usually realizes with outside help that he's hurting her more by keeping her away than by being with her with the potential of her getting hurt, so he should get over it. And then they eventually get together through a bit more angst, tears, pain, etc. And we already "know" according to the spoilers that Kakashi and Yamato are watching over the conversation, and they will probably run interference in the case of Naruto being dumb, or Sakura getting broken hearted and thinking about giving up (then they could probably tell her, he worked for your feelings and fought for you for a long time now, if you really care you'd do the same for him now) or something.

Then there's Gaara too....

Just don't lose hope, the plot is on our side!

Perhaps Sakura tells Naruto about the Konoha 11's Plan to kill sasuke and Naruto asks why shes going along with it and that he thought she loves him which then leads onto the part we have already roughly translated?

Now that I think about it, it could be that Naruto doesn't believe her because of what he said to Sai a few chapter ago. "How can I tell her if I can't even keep my promise?" (something like that was it, right?) So probably he is now thinking something like "How can you love me even though I can't keep my promise." So maybe that's why he is sceptical.

I know this is a little off topic but am I the only who see's Naruto getting the bijuu extracted from him at the next Sas/Naru/Saku confrontation. It will allow Sakura to truly see how monstrous Sasuke is and it will add more drama to the manga with Sakura of course showing her true love for Naruto; Hopefully Naruto will lose some of is ignorance and gain more maturity as well. Now, I want a confession to happen as much as the next person, but I really doubt that this is the one we've been waiting for.

Looking at things logically, would Sakura ever say that Sasuke means nothing to her? Even if her feelings for him are no longer romantic, I doubt that she would give up on his salvation so easily. At the least, she would care for him as a friend regardless of what he did, given her personality. Putting this together with the fact that she asked Naruto to forget the promise and stop going after him probably means that she intends to use her confession as a means of stopping Naruto from hurting himself any further by pursuing Sasuke. I don't know about you all, but a confession which is a result of Sakura not caring about Sasuke is not exactly the ideal for me. Rather than coming to terms with her former feelings for Sasuke, she would be simply erasing his existence from her life, which would really cheapens the whole confession. As Naruto said, she is simply lying to herself by forcing upon herself the idea that she likes Naruto and doesn't care about Sasuke. Her resulting confession is simply an attempt on her part to end Naruto's hunt for Sasuke and therefore prevent him from being hurt any further.

With that said, I believe that sections of what Sakura said to Naruto were true. For example, the fact that he's always been by her side and cheering her on is almost definitely something that she has realised in the last few chapters. However, what she said about Sasuke is simply too far-fetched and out of character to be taken as her true feelings. If NaruSaku truly results from this confession without any further developments, it would be a meaningless victory to me. Rather than Sakura facing her feelings and realising who she loves, she would simply be cutting Sasuke out of the picture and choosing Naruto as a result of that.

I agree. The whole "Sasuke" thing gives me an uneasy feeling. But I think she said that in desperation. What else could it really be? It bothers me, yes, but I've got faith that things will fall into place with due time.

Lol Kishi could put Naruto and Sakura behind a bush and start to shake it, and that still wouldn't mean anything. The manga could end with Naruto and Sakura hand in hand with young children, and that still wouldn't mean anything.

Well they'd probably say that the kids are adopted XD or that they'd be born with pink hair but their hair is clearly blonde and therefore is not Sakura's child. ANY pathetic excuse to not accept the truth XD

Obviously, Sakura is babysitting NaruHina's children (despite the pink hair).

The 'blush' could just be her face red from the cold. Naruto's was like that as well last chapter if I remember right.
