Its a online league where we pick players from different american football teams and see which teams get the most points.

Winner gets a cash prize.

Actually I just realized, can we push the draft back an hour to 8PM EST? I normally have to take my daughter to work around that time so I'd end up missing half the draft.

I'd prefer not to do that is possible. There has to be one more person we can sucker in participating. Preferabliy inexperienced so I don't come in last.

What about Nick? He watches football. He needs a distraction from his teams QB situation.

I just watch it. I don't keep track of the stats enough and value doesn't always translate in stats. But you definitely called it about me.

I'm not too worried about our QB situation - yet. Drama is just par for the course with Favre as your QB.

I didn't mean to imply you had no experience. I just knew you knew something about football. I've done fantasy football once...during the 1999 season.

Yeah, I knew you were kidding around. Anyway, I reconsidered. I mean, you guys need somebody to take over the bottom slot and I think that I just might be your guy.

Now, to figure out the rules. I don't even know how many players I need yet, but the draft isn't until the 14th, right? How long is it supposed to last? My mom's coming to visit, but I should be able to get a computer for a little while that evening.

The first season I played fantasy football, I came in second place because of that one big year Bledsoe had in Buffalo. It wasn't a live draft, you just picked what position you wanted in each round and the computer chose the player based on the rankings of each position. I committed such mortal sins of fantasy football. I took a defense and kicker before taking a running back. I was a Bucs homer.

Luck carries a lot.

League is full now but if nick is gonna play paradox jast already said he'd join too so we could have a 14 team league which is pretty ideal.

Block out about an hour and a half to be safe. The first few rounds tend to take the longest (about 60-90 seconds max per pick), and later rounds go quicker as the autodraft has turned on for absentees and others check out early because they don't care who their 6th RB and the Kicker are.
