Hisagi finally reveals his shikai, and I have to say, it's cool-looking, if anything. I'm lookin forward to seeing how this battle goes. Hisagi looks like he's done with fooling around.

On a side note, Hisagi's blade actually looks a lot like a scythe that a Grim Reaper would carry. Found that kind of funny. Anyway, looking forward to next week's issue!

Hmm, is it just me or does Hisagi not seem very strong? I mean none of these guys are terribly impressive being side characters and all, but for some reason I just get the sense that Hisagi was a little weaker than the other two. But I suppose that's just for now, in the next chapter there's probably gonna be some power up and Hisagi will hand the arrancars ass to him on a platter. I'm looking forward to see how this plays out, we also haven't seen what the arrancar can do to its full extent either so that'll be interesting. After this though, I can't wait to see all the other peeps.

I think Hisagi is kind of against fighting/killing as he never goes into a battle full force. He usually seems to be rather defensive. Hell, this is the first time we've seen his shikai. It look pretty cool though and I hope he'll use it well.

How many times do I have to say it? I DO NOT CARE about these other characters. If their fights took a few pages maybe I'd be fine with it but they're taking whole chapters.

Lol Kira is freaking badass. I don't care but the guy is a cold blooded killer! Chopped that dudes head off! LOL Freaking EPIC! He has gained a new respect just for pulling that. The 3rd division is really different from the rest of the Gotei 13. The effects of war/fighting are glorified and a big theme in Bleach is 'pride' and how important it is to a person. We've seen many accounts of that including what Ukitake told Rukia when Kaein was fighting that hollow and that they shouldn't interfere since a warriors honor/pride is a very important factor to them. The 11th Division is probably the biggest example of this. Maybe Kubo decided to make the 3rd Division differ in this belief by focusing on the causalities and negative effects that constant fighting can have on a squad. Not everything or everyone will be the same and share the same ideologies. Really quite fascinating!

Also the fight between Hisagi and Findor is pretty good with good action and it sets up for us to see Hisagi's zanpaktou finally. Does anyone else find it ironic that Hisagi has a wind based zanpaktou, much like his idol, Kensei? Blow, Tachikaze (Kensei) & Reap, Kazeshini (Shuehi). Guess the number 69 isn't all they have in common. Oh I see what you did there Kubo! :teehee:

Fight looks interesting enough and I look forward to it. These side characters are getting some good spotlight and development with quick fights that should be over soon. I mean really its nice to see other characters show off what they can do. Imagine Ichigo being the main focus for over a hundred chapters. If there was a manga that focused so much on only one character don't you think people would sick and tired of it and start complaining all the time? OH wait...... :cookie:

Well other people, including me, are actually happy that Kubo decided to focus on some of the side characters.

We all know Ichigo's fighting style by now, and unless Kubo brings back hollow Ichigo for the fight against Ulqi, I'm more interested in other people's skills at the moment to be honest

Also, they are facing a war. To focus on only one warrior's path to get stronger is foolish when you're sitting on squads upon squads of powerful Shinigami. You have every right to not like these chapters though, but I think they are necessary to plot's development.

As for moi, I've found new respect for the lieutenants now. Maybe even Marechiyo Ōmaeda can do something (lol no tnx)?

Though Im a big Ichigo fan I think its good to learn more about the other guys, and they haven't dragged on so it's fine.

Saw 2nd Bleach Movie, It was ok.

Why do you think side characters exist? To stand blurred out in the background of a manga cover? Kubo didn't create these characters to forget about them. Whenever an author creates a character of any kind in any story, they stand there for a reason, they're a little piece of imagination and you don't just throw them in a plot for kicks and then leave them there. If you don't care about side characters and only want to center your attention on one character or one fight then maybe you shouldn't be reading large, expanded stories like Bleach.

I personally think these fights came at a perfect time, just before a huge battle with the protagonist. If we had just rushed into Ichi vs Ulqui it would have lost some of its climactic effect on us. To witness the aspect of how everybody is fighting for their goal and purpose through these battles of defending the pillars is important to set us up for a big fight that's to come, I believe.

I liked Hisagi's shikai, looks strong.

And I wonder...the piller is down, but I'm not sure Ikaku is actually defeated. Although Ikaku has the weakest shikai of the four, I don't think he'll go down easily....although he had his fight against a weaker arrancar and couldn't defeat that one without bankai as well...

Pffft... Ikkaku is a masochist, so he probably took a beating on purpose so he can show of his superiority after the other guy thought he won. I'm not sure if he meant to let the guy take down the pillar though, but I'm sure he'll win soon enough! Awesome chapter this week! Hisagi's shikai was probably the deadliest looking one so far, and not to mention awesome

I'm done with this series. I've never liked it that much to begin with (I never got into the story and there are few characters I care about or can relate to) but now I've decided instead of complaining about each Chapter every week to just stop reading altogether. Sorry about all the nasty comments I've made in this thread or any other thread dealing with Bleach you won't hear from me about it again cuz I'm never reading it again.

Lol Ikkaku is freaking retarded. Just cause he didn't want to show his bankai he lets a pillar fall. Kubo wanks off too much to the 11th Division its not even funny. Izura knocking out Yumakichi was a smart move. Whats he going to do without a shikai ability? Anyways, it was an interesting turn of events. Po is quite strong for a fodder enemy and Komamura gets some action. Its going to be a raw power match. Maybe Komamaru will get some redemption after what Aizen do to him. I wonder how with the pillar going down it will the situation. Bargann seemed quite pleased so something must be up. We'll have to see as these fights are almost over!

I'm done with this series.
