On a scale of 1-10 rate the Anime you're currently watching

Pretty sub-par people vs mutants anime based of the manga of the same name by Nobuhiro Watsuki, mangaka of Rurouni Kenshin. Kind of a mix of D-grayman and Full Metal Alchemist. The protagonist"s" are Kazuki, our unsuspecting shounen male who stumbles unwittingly into a hostile underworld, and Tokiko, the fatal female who eventually has a soft spot for him. What irks me so much about this series is that she's completely useless by mid-way through the series. She starts off as a badass and then just gets brushed to the side.
Redline 7/10
Racing anime with quirky characters, that's basically all you need to know about the whole movie. Supremely Amazing animation. 7-years in the making if I'm correct, because of the attention to detail and the fact that it's all hand drawn using old-school animation effects. It's fun, but if racing isn't your thing, like me, then it gets to be boring, excuse the pun fast, since probably 85-90 % of this thing is the racing sequence which is amazingly put together. But seriously, this thing is eye candy MAX! I just kind of eventually zone out.

Since a remake is coming this March, I have been watching the first series in celebration. This anime is regarded like legendary and a true classic, and I must tell it deserves all praise it gets. The story is engaging and dramatic, the characters are charismatic and complex, the designs of machines and ships are cool, the music is excellent... I can not recommend it enough.

Guess I know what my next "catch-up" anime will be. I've always been timid to give it a try. But again, it's probably popular and highly regarded for a reason.
Black Lagoon 8/10 NOT FOR KIDS, contains mucho vulgar language
A fresh departure from what I've been watching lately. Kind of reminded me of "Firefly", even though the crews' morals are more black than that of the Serenity. But even though they're "villains", you root for them. The show is about a small shipment group who takes on the job of transporting and retrieving "goods" for the right pay, on their boat the Lagoon, in the south China sea. It's old, but apparently the second season and the third season (more OVA than season) are relatively new (and the manga is still ongoing?) <--found out and am super disappointed that the manga has been on hiatus for the last two years. I can't even imagine how frustrating it must be for folks who have been with it since the beginning... I guess he's gotten enough money so he'll just continue to make H-mangas (seriously he does this). I also like the english dub on this, I actually prefer it to the Japanese voices.

It is a good choice.
Of course, it is not perfect. It has some silliness -and some sexism- back then was accepted but now maybe it would cheesy (such like a robot drinking sake. Then again, I have not heard someone telling Evangelion was dumb or silly because there was a warm water penguin living in an apartment), and the story has some flaws and plotholes. And no, I am not going to tell it is to be expected in a series from 1974. There has always been good and bad series. But absolutely all series -good and bad- have flaws, incongruencies and plotholes, back then and now.
But, IMO, tthe good stuff GREATLY weighs over the bad and the silly. So what if the Yamato captain never took his hat off? I was still impressed when in the first episode an alien fleet sent a "Surrender or be destroyed" message to the clearly outnumbered and underpowered Earth fleet, and his answer was a simple: "Idiots". Or when he kept his coolness and leadership skills in the most dangerous and most dire situations.

Awesome, can't wait to give it a try. Wonder if Hulu or Nflix has it.
Kure-nai 7/10
genre: Action/Drama/Harem
The series is based off of a manga and light novel series of the same name about a 16 year old boy named Kure-nai Shinkouro who works as a dispute mediator, solving issues between folks. He's gifted/cursed with a horn (blade) that comes out of his right elbow whenever he's angry. The anime is different from the manga in many ways. This includes both plot and character. The characters deal with the same core problem as the manga and the antagonists motivations are the same (disturbing) but the characters deal with things in a different way.
It's a short series, only spanning 12 episodes, so it's no surprise that the animation is consistent but the character design are slightly altered with many people having different color hair, some of them act different than their manga counter-parts or are toned down, case and point - Benika, (Kure-nai's benefactor/hero after his parents are killed) is supposed to be a badass, someone who strikes fear into anyone, but in the anime she's a slightly above average agent who could easily get her ass handed to her by a few thugs. Another point of contention is the main character, who is much less intelligent and more of a pushover in a fight than the manga version. And while I was never fully convinced that he was a great mediator in the manga, in the anime he's essentially a thug for hire who could easily just be another yakuza lackey since he essentially delivers threats or just punches people over and over again which is annoying. I could go into a discussion on the differences but that's another thread. Last few episodes are depressing, the ending is hopeful if a bit naive. And some of the things that happen make me dislike many of the characters I liked in the manga, namely Yamie and Tamaki. It's an okay watch, but I'd recommend the manga over this anyday.
Kure-nai OVA 1&2 7/10
genre: Action/Drama/Harem
These two episodes are an collection of mini episodes with a few paralleling parts from the manga while throwing in a couple comedic situation episodes. The character designs are the same as the manga with the same coloring schemes. This mostly ignores the original series and it's ending so if you haven't read the manga you might be a little confused, but not much, since again, most of the mini-episodes are just comedies that don't happen in the manga. Fun watch but not enough substance to push it over the original anime series' rating.

The anime is filled by cliche after cliche every episode but one way or another, it just pulls me in whether its the action, the different unique voids, or the mystery that surround the whole damn conspiracy. The graphics are overall impressive, smooth action sequence or just plain background detail are awesome not to mention the deign of the voids are cool as hell in details tells that the artist doesn't pull any punches on this. The songs are pretty good overall and fits well with the animation accompanying it. As far as the characters are concerned, Shu is an egoistical whiny brat that has moments of maturity that just isn't plenty enough, Minori is like an emotional version of Ayanami Rei (It doesn't make sense to you? no kitten, it doesn't make sense to me either), Gai is highly manipulative genius badass, the rest of the characters are filling one trope or another that prob even tvtropes will have trouble listing them all. The overall story itself is quite decent if not overused and easily guessed, once in a while though they throw a unique twist in it which makes me guessing for where the hell they are going exactly which ain't so bad. Though there are much to be desired from the anime, its overall a pretty good watch in the spare time.

Graphics are great and seeing how the series just started and im already on the floor laughing my ass off I can tell this is going to be a great anime. So far the main female is my favorite character with her random references to other various anime and manga is kittening funny. Main male is a close second favorite character cause the way he acts towards the main female is freaking funny as well. Cant wait for the next episode to air god the wait is terrible. Sig is from the anime.

It's got those heartfelt moments and a nice combination of action and adventure. I like that very much, however there's just a few things I find very repetitive, which makes every evpisode very predictable. Now, keep in mind that I'm not sure what this anime is rated. I've been through about 70 episodes so far and one person has died. ONE PERSON! Like, what the heck, man! And when someone is evil you can always expect them to turn good by the end of the show. it happens every time, and I just...ugh. I like it though, overall.
Mirai Nikki 7.5/10
I'm actually giving this a lower score, despite my fondness of this anime. I don't like the overall storyline, to be perfectly honest. I simply liked the survival game. I disliked the canon couple, as they seemed so ultimately unmatched too; much tsundere. On the other hand, I haven't found another anime that rivals this amount of gore. I really haven't ); The plot is...interesting, but then again it revolves around the main character and his crazy tsundere girlfriend, but unless you can't tolerate kawaii psycho pink-haired stalkers, whiny uh (there's gotta be a name for this) male characters, and a cosplaying bomb terrorist, I'd say check it out (:

Yuno is a yandere. Totally different from Tsundere.

Only a few episodes in but... Darn you CLAMP! Why?! Unhappiness for all! I was told not to expect too much with the ending of the anime or the manga. The animation is kind of sub-par. I'm like 0 for 3 for the last three animes in terms of satisfying endings. And because it's clamp I know it's gonna be super sad. It kind of already is. I like the music.

Animation Quality 10/10
Because the animation quality is amazing. The animation they did on Black Lagoon looks like something that would only be done on a movie. The colors are amazing, saturation and contrasts are beautifully done, lighting is amazing. JUST EVERYTHING- IT'S ALL AMAZING.
Voice Acting 10/10
The Japanese voice acting is freaking hilarious. Revy's voice and everyone else's...they just fit their personalities so perfectly. Surprisingly, I brought myself to watch the English Dub- those voices were pretty amazing too! Revy's voice actress really brings out her character (and vulgarity

Storyline/Plot 10/10
While there is no real "storyline" other than the actual purpose of the lagoon company (deliver 'goods' and things), each episode is packed with some sort of lesson or value that you can take away from it. There isn't an actual linear storyline- but the mature dialogue and conversations that characters have make you feel like you're in the real world, and it makes you really connect. The character development is solid when it comes to Rock and Revy; watch the anime and you'll see what I mean.
Action Sequences 10/10
Okay, this is what really got me adrenaline pumped whenever I watched Black Lagoon. Revy is a badass. The action sequences are amazing. I was blown away by how much effort those animators must have put in to make those action sequences as epic as they were. (It also makes them editable

Overall 34982049203498304/10
This made my top anime list, ranking at #2 just behind the Full-Metal Panic series. I love this anime and am currently trying to get my paws on blu-rays or a boxed set or something (But it's very difficult to find!)

Anywho, it's a very good animu, but it will give you feels

I watched Angel Beats last year. Though it was good, I didn't feel sad during the ending. Maybe because the series was too short for me to feel attached. My favourite "arc" is Hinata and Yui's.
-----------------------
Chihayafuru 9/10
As usual, I look for a good anime based on the ratings and reviews on MAL and this one got an 8.44 and the reviews were good. You could call this series a "sports anime" though the "sport" is a game that involves grabbing cards from your opponent laid out on the floor. The game is called karuta and though I didn't know anything about it at first , it definitely interests me while watching this. Characters are very well developed and the way the characters play the game makes it exciting. Definitely recommend it to people who's looking for a slice of life anime or want to take a break from animes that involves superpowers or anything that's unrealistic.

Suzuka: pretty cool, although the animation quality killed it for me at times ;__; 7/10 for the anime (10/10 for the manga @_@)
Kimi no Iru Machi: SKDJLGHADLKSJGHDASKLJGHAKSDG THE OVA'S- their animation is so glorious @_@ 9/10~
Fairy Tail Anime: No questions asked, 9,001/10. It's over 9,000

Kaze no Stigma: Pretty good anime! At times I felt the main character was OP, but the story and tsun-tsun moments of the main female lead were awesome that I have to give this an 8/10.
