On a scale of 1-10 rate the last movie you watched

Ambitious. Way too ambitious of a film. I make no excuses for this film, it's a shamble of a film. Not cohesive. Choppy. But did I enjoy it? Yes. Second viewing in theatres no.
First half of the movie is horribly shot. It's a very interesting take on the Super Hero films. To this point, it's an issued that's only been touched on in super hero films. What happens when a hero's had a bad day or in this case life? The side of super heroes that rarely is ever shown at length in feature films. In X-men, I like Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, but he's never as much of an @sshole as the comic book version. He's a little too clean, too suave.... more of a Bond-Wolverine. The comic book Wolvie is less graceful and tells it like it is no matter what age they are. Hopefully the film will bring the other side of Logan to the screen. But they miniscule-ly deal with this in the first half of Hancock, but it turns it too comedy. Into the usual Will Smith fanfare chip on shoulder charisma. And Hancock is waaaaaaaay to obsessed with foot-rectum violence.
The major downfall of this film is the DP (director of photography) and the writers. Poorly shot hints at the second act by the DP, repeatedly hitting us in the face with a shot of a certain person's reactions, but that is not all the DP's fault, had I been in his position I don't know what I would have done. The writers gave him nothing. I understand, they tried to create subtext to certain things, but it was waaaay too vague and across the board.
The second half of the film is completely different. I don't think it's cliche.... it is kind of out of the blue. The problem is that they tried to showed us they were going one way with the movie and they completely 180, with justifiable causes, but it's just done so clumsily that the audience may be left completely cold, especially those who were rooting for them to go as far as they could with the premise for the first half of the film.
Really this film was two different films smushed together. In the end, I think the only reason I let it slide to a 7, from a 6, is because Will Smith always has a quality to his work that even though I might not like it, I still like his work. Plus, it helps them, that I've written a treatment for a film similar to the second half of the film. I hate it when my works hit screens before I've had a chance to do it..... I guess it's true what they say about original ideas, it's the same story, just a different way of telling it.
But as I said, this film was way too ambitious for it's own good. That's it's ultimate downfall. It never lands on one solid idea. Plus some bad writing.... But I give them props for having the balls to go with a hero that is not established already. In the end, if you watch this it's really a hit or miss I think.

Very interesting anime film from Satoshi Kon (Paranoia Agent, Tokyo Godfathers). Kinda hard to understand, but that was part of the reason it was intriguing. Very good animation & music, as well.

Fullmetal Alchemist The Movie (2004)-3/10
Great animation, voice acting and music doesn't make up for a horrible plot, the movie's absurd length, the way certain characters end up and one of the worst endings EVER.
I agree with almost everything, But... NAZIS dude, fullmatel cast are kicking nazi butt

7/10

One Jack black's best comedies ( especially the intro, I laughed my arse off at how Jack blacky it was XD) great fight scenes too!
Buuuut...
I was somwhat disappointed, I had the slightest hope that this movie wouldn't be like alot of other animated films today, just plain comedy with some action. I miss films like the lion king, robin hood and others where there was these epic fights of good versus evil and the good will win in the end.
Animated films that didn't shy from thing like a sad ending and a little bit violance, just to match the vision of the story.
Oh well, enough rambling, still a fine movie that I recommend

I liked this movie, even though only 4 people form actual sentences.fun to watch with little kids because they laugh a lot.

Great movie and better than the others. Gives the understanding why the Japanese racers always drift in the first place. The downside is that if Americans try it inland, we are bound to see alot of accidents/crashes

Kung Fu Panda - 8.5/10
Movie was good. Jack Black did pretty good as Po Panda. But I love the comedic parts (the stairs are one of them)

Bee Movie - 8.5/10
Good movie. Gives you a lesson that bees ARE very important insects in the world. And Jerry Seinfield did an excellent job playing Barry Benson. He cracks me up!

What's Happening with the Naruto series as of now!

One of my favorite movies, top 5 really, I haven't watched it in a while. But this is definitely awkward to watch for the general public, which is to say probably most people. But it is a sad tale about a man and his paranoia. I love this movie, it perfectly blends so many genres together: suspense thriller, comedy, drama, sci-fi, martial arts, romance; which may be why so many people don't like this film. They may think it feels schizophrenic. But I believe in their characters.... and the ones that are farcical are also believable, which makes them even funnier.
CJ7 7/10.
Funny and cute, about middle ground work for Mr. Chow. What you would expect for a family film. Not as great as some of his other works but definitely not as stumbly as some of his less successful films. The boy is surprisingly good, and yes CJ7 is cute.

Agree with you here, the five warriors looked intresting enough to have more screen time, especially after watching kid Tigress, so cute...

Good thing they are working on a sequel, it's prolly the only dreamworks movie I want to see more of.

It started off really strong, and had some really good parodies and jokes, but after a while everything lamed, and the ending was much weaker than it should have been. But it was still waaaay better than Epic Movie.

Pretty good storyline... needs more character development though. If they have a sequel, I suggest better director and screenwriter
Wanted - 10/10
Gory, action-packed, and wicked story. Morgan Freeman as a bad guy, and watching him utter lines you'd never hear.. PWN. Angelina Jolie is smex. XD
Wall-E - 1/10
Boring as hell... two robots with robotic voice stuff... Worse than other pixar films.

A few decent lines and action scenes, but overall...I found it very stupid.
The Bucket List - 5/10
Would have been so much better if it were just a drama and no comedy. It takes a serious issue (illness & death) and throws in a bunch of cutesy things that you'd see in a sitcom.
Semi-Pro - 5/10
It was better than I expected, but still...just see the score.
Yeah, I saw some really mediocre movies this week. I can't wait for The Dark Knight...

Best animated movie... EVER!
Yeah I trashed the classics! but this movie is just sooooo good!
This movie made me feel so many emotions on such a short span that I felt that by the end I was having an heart attack! Laughing my arse off at one moment, feeling all tingly inside at another, almost crying at some point, rooting like crazy by the end. And in the end itself, feeling so satasfied that I say to myself; "this movie dosn't need a sequel, it's perfect the way it is!"
And this says alot! Pixar officelly are my top dogs now
Going to see it tomarrow again!
