I like Hinata. She's a developing character.

I DO NOT LIKE PIMP!HINATA FICCAGE. HINATA IS NOT A PIMP. PLEASE LEAVE NARUTO/NEJI/KIBA/SHINO/SASUKE/ELVIS/GAARA ALONE IN YOUR BAD RAPEFIC/SCHOOLFIC/MARYSUE!HINATAFIC.
Damn you Mary Sue-writing kittenes. Just because you are capable of reenacting your sexual fantasies through badly-written fanfiction in which some WEAK HINATAPHANTOM gets raped like every two seconds does not mean you are allowed to make my eyes bleed like this.

I can sort of see Hinata becoming ANBU if she really doesn't shape up in time to earn her father's respect. Hinata's got something to prove.


Crying!Shikamaru just breaks my heart.

Temari doesn't offer unadulterated sympathy. She doesn't butter up the truth with weak smiles. She tells people what she thinks they need to hear, and I can respect that.
But I gotta place an emphasis on "she thinks," because Te-chan's perceptions of people are a little warped.

Oh well. I guess that's the result of being related to...Gaara...and...Kankurou...

Hinata and Sakura are BOTH developing characters. But of course Sakura has higher potential (she's very intelligent, is just like Naruto deep down, has excellent chakra control and of course the Main Character Rule ).

I think the main problem is just readers who are too ignorant and biased to see all of the hints and subtleties of the story (stating the obvious, aren't I).

Too many people state "Sakura is always a b***h to Naruto". They've just ignored all those moments from the Chuunin Exam onwards that showed her growth! They all practically glomp Hinata because she's the ONLY girl who liked Naruto instead of Sasuke. They make her out to be a saint and glorify her.

What really irks me is that those readers see characters as constant, never-changing cardboard cutouts. I've seen a lot of NaruHina fics where Hinata is always stuttering like mad and acting all weak no matter how old she is.

Bleh.

I like Hinata, but Sakura is a far more intriuging character to me because she has more depth and you can really relate with her. She has all that inner strength, but it's been kept down by Sasuke. She also hints that it's Naruto who makes her feel stronger (see what she said after Naruto beat Neji).

You can see she's screaming potential, and all she has to do is stop chasing Sasuke - which she will very soon, I hope. If she does all that, and some people still hate her just because of what she said in Chapter 3, those people really should take a look at themselves...

At least THERE is some light - I've seen quite a few posts from Sakura-haters willing to give her a chance if she comes good in 236. It's very true it will be a make-or-break chapter for her.

I just hope it's the death of Outer Sakura and the birth of the real Haruno Sakura, kunoichi of the Hidden Leaf.

Yeah, I've seen your posts.

I don't hate ANY character outright. Sure, I'm not a big Sasuke fan but I do understand why he's doing what he is doing - I just don't like the path he's chosen.

I do sympathise with him at times, but he's just not making any real effort to break out of his descent into darkness. There is still a chance for him, but he'd need to break out of that stupid thought process he has at the moment (angst, angst, revenge, revenge).

He cares for Naruto and Sakura, but he's hurting and betraying them right now. All because of his desire to kill Itachi. I just can't agree with anyone who would chase his goals at the expense of his friends.

I know Naruto would be willing to give up his dream of Hokage if it would mean Sakura would be safe and happy. Sure, he's wanted to be Hokage for so long, but his friends are more important to him.

Saying all that, Sasuke would be an excellent villain because you can actually see and understand his motives. You just can't agree with him doing the things he does.

I think that the only flattish character at the moment would be Orochimaru. He's your typical bad guy - "I want to conquer the world and become the ultimate being, kukuku!"

So do thousands of other anime bad guys. Tch.

I just want Hinata to get some spine! It makes me cringe watching the poor thing...but, I am a Kiba/Hina fan (and I know you aren't, HFanboy ) so I HOPE Kiba can break her out of her shell...

Personality wise she's a flatter character than TenTen. Heck at least TenTen has SOME depth despite lack of character development.

Up to date we have several Bazookas, the addition of the lazer guns is welcomed, the main Rasengan Buster riffle which periodically shoots at their ship, diarhea bombs (noyt my Idea if I remember but as long as it works) american black cherry missiles with fragmentation Naruto pastries warheads I'm still working on torpedoes but I can't cram Kisame inside yet, his Samedan is too large and it makes the attack miss and hit some random ships around. I wouldn't want to touch some friendlies like the Neji/Tenten so I'm still experimenting. Crammoing Itachi inside was too long and I don't fancy a Tsukiyomi anytime soon.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the weak reasoning of the NaruHinas. Sure, Hinata has a crush on Naruto, but there isn't much exposure on that relationship - and Kishi chose to have Naruto falling DEEPER for Sakura, and insert some conflicting emotions within Sakura as she watched Naruto and Sasuke clash, and finally as she watched the blond walk away to fulfil a promise to her.

The manga covers she's featured in since seem to show her thinking a lot about Naruto (since when was Sasuke like blue sky?), and you can sense she really believes in him. We'll see in 236!

I wouldn't be surprised if Kishi made HUGE revelations on Sakura's part of the Naruto/Sakura relationship. Something tells me that she's been hiding something for a long, long time (mainly because of what Ino has said on a few occassions).
