This is definitely not the worst manga of the year, not even close. This is actually a decent manga.

That Hinata woman you're referring to is a nun who's a decade or so older than him, imao. She raised him alongside the other orphan kids. I guess she's sort of like an older sister to him. He just developed a very innocent crush on her.
 

The female lead is Noelle.

She's the black sheep in her royal family b/c she doesn't really have any special powers (she can't control them, lol). Hates everyone initially when she joins the Black Bull squad, but she becomes good friends with Asta and later on develops a crush on him.

There was another girl. I don't know her name. Anyway, I'll read.

As for this series being called as "worst manga," that's a strong statement by them. I don't even consider it by first chapter but it does feel rather, "there." I guess I'll find out very soon.

I do wanna say this series has been really interesting so far as the coming chapters have passed, and I do wanna say I'm really liking where they are taking Asta's journey to become a sorcerer and honestly seeing an anime for this series would be a really treat, and I think Madhouse would be great in terms of doing the anime or IG (the studio behind Psycho Pass).  At the same time I'm really starting to like where they are taking Noelle's character throughtout these recent arcs.  Now when it comes to the Asta and Noelle  pairing I do wanna say, I'm not like super onboard like I am TouKen from Tokyo Ghoul or OchaDeku from Boku No Hero, but I will say I am interested in seeing where it would go, and I guess I'll show my tiny bit of interest with this:
 
 

 
Only that I'm concern about AN is not about Aster no reconciling her feeling, but the mangaka goes overboard making Noelle too much of a moe or a dismal around Aster. I hate authors that does these to aggressive and tsundere characters like Mashima does with Erza when she interacts wit Jellal.

Noelle following Aster to the city during that church arc reminds me of Sakura following Naruto through the streets just before Gaara them was introduced   AN could be or has the potential to be the next NS.

It's not surprising how much the negative influence from Naruto can damage a new Naruto Carbon Copy, Rip Off stories. ITs something that me, Kirabook or any author that does an AU Naruto canon story must expect. Sadly, because of this. We won't be seeing many of these types of stories from now.
 
Although what Trang said, this becomes original of its own around chapter 18. That's beneficial to BC. Only thing that remains from Naruto (besides the characters) are the SNS between Aster and Juno. And its possible that a NaruSaku/NaruHina love triangle can be established. That depends if the mangaka does not make Noelle into a Moe character around Aster because of her new infatuation. I think the Hinata character you are referring to is Noelle's cousin (if I got it right). She is very besotted over Aster and is like your typical Hinata carbon copy character

I have. Maybe it's because I've never been much of a critic, so I don't really get why it's named worst manga. There is plenty other garbage mangas getting anime adaptations. In my opinion Black Clover deserves one and I hope it doesn't get axed.
