Thank you. I saw first episode thanks to my girlfriend. Funny, I think I would be shocked to read it since well, it felt all good and would have thought someone else do something bad. Instead, yeah...There goes my love triangle. Two chapters every two weeks.

I'd wish it was weekly... I'm waiting for Zeno's arc T_T
it wasn't bad. It stuck pretty close from what I could tell. I just want the translators to catch up. They could throw us a bone and release one every week until they catch up...

Lol yeah, I'm feeling good about this one. The only thing that might be sad is that part of me thinks Hak and Soowon will kill each other, leaving Yona with the Dragons. They will have probably been together as a couple before that, and maybe Yona has his kid after Hak's death...that would be sad, I don't want that...XD sigh, one day... It feels good when one of your ships will 100% happen... Unlike you know what ship *husk, husk*
Anyway, this is one of those ships that just needs to happen immediately. Like Touken.

That would be really sad, and I don't need another tragic ship right now. Really hope nothing like that happens.

I visited a friend's house and we watched 5 episodes of this anime.
When i came home i watched it and for two days I am sleep deprived.
I remember reading the first part of the manga before so i was familiar with the plot but didn't know it has an anime version.. I'm not sure why i stopped reading this.. probably because during that time only a few chapters were out and as time goes on i forgotten about it.
Well is this a good time to continue the manga? or is it in some sort of hiatus?
also what chapter should i start with in continuation to the anime?
As much as i want to read it from the start, i can't really afford that much time to anime and mangas anymore since I've been pretty busy lately.

Nice to see you wanna give this series a try! Read Ch.41 (they skipped that one funny chapter), skip Ch.42-43, and proceed with Ch.44 About 90 chapters are out right now. 2 chapters are released every two weeks (this is a biweekly manga like many other Shoujos). You'll Iove the series, promise!

thank you so much!
I read that although the anime was able to get it right there are some good parts that were not taken.. thank you for pointing one.
and is it true that the order of some events got switched up in the anime?

I thought this anime was a splendid adaptation. It's not the most mindblowing anime in terms of suspense buildup and animation quality, but it pretty much adapted every panel, every joke, every detail in the right order. The only reason Ch.41 was not adapted is b/c only one episode was left after the big Green Dragon arc. Leaving this chapter out was what manga readers have suspected already to begin with, and it was an understandable decision from the studio to do so. It's not truly that relevant to the story anyways, that's why.
Akatsuki no Yona really is one of Studio Pierrot's best animes in recent years if you ask me.

I see, that's what i heard too.
nice to hear SP has some saving grace left on them.
they should've been like this with all their works.. being consistent with quality is very important but oh well they probably have their own reasons... heard they butchered Tokyo Ghoul.. that one is on my list i only watched like 2-3 episodes of it and i might just continue with the manga if the anime will indeed be disappointing. so far i got addicted to the opening song and that's pretty much it lol.
anyhow i'm glad to have found this series again.
These are the types of stories that gets you hooked and lose sleep.

Omg, pls don't remind me of Tokyo Ghoul. I still have mental scars from season 2. You can watch season 1, b/c that was a fairly decent adaptation, but I highly recommend you to check out the manga afterwards starting Ch.1 and to read the entirety of Tokyo Ghoul, before you check out season 2. You'll see how much they left out in season 1, and how much they butchered season 2. It's not even funny.
But yes, I absolutely love Akatsuki no Yona. Yona is truly a great female lead, and the romance has finally started to kick in around Ch.65 or so.
Btw, this summer season, Studio Bones (the one who made Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood) are animating Akagami no Shirayuki-hime. You might wanna check it ( I definitely will). I get Akatsuki no Yona vibes from the trailers I've seen so far.
