Yeah it seems that some people can't understand that Sasuke doesn't carry a romantic bone in his body. Because Sakura had always come at him romantically is the reason why she was always easily rejected and dismissed. Naruto however comes at him more like family. That's why that bond has such an affect on him and I think has always scared him.

 

Are you talking about me ? Because I never said he was in love secretly with Sakura.

But we don't know what will become Sasuke after Naruto will TnJ him.

Maybe he will fall in love with Sakura.

We just don't know. Sasuke he's a blank page.

 

But still, I'm not trying to fuel SasuSaku. I think NaruSaku will happen.

And nobody will be hurt if Sasuke happens to have romantic feelings for Sakura in the future. This could happen.

 

Although, I think the "real" Sasuke that is deep inside the broken one knows that Naruto is deeply in love with her, and I think the good Sasuke would support NaruSaku.

 

Again, I don't intend to make anyone angry in here. I'm sorry if that's the case, but I thought I was talking with respect, and I only analysed the story with my opinion.

IMO, there is Sasuke & Naruto inside everyone .....

everyone have something in dark past... taking it positively is Naruto....while negative is Sasuke

So this chapter just goes to show how much Sasuke hasn't grown up, even after learning all of his brothers past, he is still walking the same path as Itachi...I understand his thinking, Obit managed to unite the five nations because of a common threat, and Sasuke is thinking the same thing, he's basically doing a Lalouch, only difference was Lalouch knew for the both sides to unite, not only would he need to become the ruler he'd also have to be destroyed by the saviour, Sasuke doesn't think like that he want to unite by fear, only problem with a solution like that is Sasuke is not immortal and after he dies, the people will celebrate and party together but afterward the people will revolt, they'll cause havok, do go crazy and the countries would demerge again, that pride in their nation just won't dissappear overnight.

 

I bet this gave SS fans a mental high, they must be thinking that SS chances must be higher than they ever were, Sasuke must love Sakura so much that he genjutsu'd her dead, making it the best way Sasuke shows he loves someone....I guess Sasuke must be the umtimate Tsundere ever, 'I'm not killing you because I love you or anything' wait would that make him a Yandere?

 

BTW: Did the raws for last week ever appear? which translation was more accurate, MS or MP?

Naruto placed at 8th place in the toc of this week...  since naruto had a break 2 weeks go, the placement is about 685 (not 686)... funny... seems that the infamous ss eyesmex achieved resounding success

But unfortunately that's the logic Kishimoto is falling back on. Sasuke says 'Naruto is my best friend, therefore I must kill him first." So if we are forced to accept that wacked-out statement, how hard is it to accept anything of driven by lesser emtions that falls underneath it? That helps me to understand how SS can look at it and still see a glimmer of hope. 

 

In Sasuke's language, if we're playing by Kishi's rules, than Sasuke telling her he hates her or that she's annoying (verbally acknowleding her) must mean he sees her as something important in her life. Because everyone else in the village he just ignores. Completely. And then going so far as to injure her so she can't stop them, conversely should mean that he actually does have some thought for her welfare, ie. concern. 

 

The logic is flawed. No doubt about it. But this is Kishimoto's world and his rules, and I think we all underestimate how much he loooooves Sasuke. And that he's writing all the characters to have that same unjustified love and sympathy. And for SS that's all the excuse they need to keep on shipping it.

 

edit: oh yeah, I forgot about the Uchiha Love Curse. That's another one that defies logic. Kishimoto's built himself lots of ways to excuse everything Sasuke's ever done.

 

 

I think she's "annoying" to him because of what Chatte said. Because she's remembering him something he wants to forget.

Tbh now that you've cleared it up that sounds like a reasonable position to take.

 

We can't predict how Sasuke will be.

 

But personally I don't think he'll develop feelings for her based off what I've seen in the manga.

i agree with you otaru but this chapter isn't centralized on sasuke's deeper feelings. I mean... sakura is important to him because he has a (platonic) bond with her but, once again, their bond isn't even the most importat bond of his live. Sakura is part of the team7, the family that he had after his lost.... What I mean (and you too, I hope) is that Sakura's feelings is part of Sasuke's characterization, like those Kakashi's and Naruto's especially.

 

You have a point but it has also a point that Sakura's bond isn't even the central point of his life, it has never been so. Sasuke himself told that he never though that he would have an important person after Itachi's death, and that person in naruto. I repeat, better don't put on pedestal only sakura's feelings. Because not only Sakura is part of his family, but also Kakashi and, above all, Naruto, the only one who can change his mind. Because he is the most important person of his life. And it's for this reason why I'm saying that Sakura is important to him but not so much important as Naruto.

This chapter was both anti climatic and interesting due to me finally understanding Sasuke's motives and way of thinking and we also get the closure of Sasuke admitting Naruto is the closest thing to a best friend he has.

Yes that's what I think too. Sakura needs someone like Naruto in her life. It has been shown since the very firsts chapters.

I was only reading Naruto and then I saw that Naruto will end up with Sakura.

What's actually interesting are all the different insights into Sasuke that have been posted. At least we all agree that the one person who's always been truly important to Sasuke is the one he has set his sights on to kill. i.e. Itachi and Naruto.
