I agree. Kishi is trying to make her more relevant because she's the heroine but it's difficult because everyone has power ups and he's trying to maintain her normal and still make her important. But i'd add something: That punch wasn't only "by surprise" for what we've see, the Byakugan has a blind spot, 1 only degree.

I think it's because she has concentration problems and she's severally the worse "final" villain of all time.

Even the sharingan can see though clones, she has byakugan and rinnegan and despite being a "GoD" she cant see though basic jutsus like kagebushins??

 

She can only open portals and use that stick?

She cant use Shinra Tensei?

She's a kittening GOD of chakra and she only does the same thing for like 10 chapters???

Even Nagato does more than her.

So, what did you think about it? I was really excited about team 7 working together again and Sakura being badass and a lot useful. No SS moment THANK GOD, no NS moment though.

 

I would give that chapter 8.5/10, I'm glad Kishi didn't do a long explanation about Kakashi's new powers, he only said it was the Rikudou chakra. With a NS good moment it would be 10/10.

I actually think the ship has sailed on sustained relevance. The issue is as you say. He either has to be powering her up (which I don't think he is) or avoided doing that to her teammates. I think the real issue is with them. He's completely lost control over their power levels and put them up on a pedastool so high no one can realistically keep up without major WTF moments. However, Sakura has no obvious avenue for that unless she is suddenly the reincarnation of some other old fart. It was a bad plot line when it came in, it'd still be bad with her and she'd lose the normal girl angle.

I see no obvious solution to this that doesn't crap all over the plot.

She feels like a character he wants to have around and use, but has no idea what to do with her because of where he has written himself. There are times (like saving Naruto) where he comes across as having distinct goals for her and there is stuff like this where he seems desperate to do something, anything to keep her around.

It reminds of of Gundam SEEDS treatment of Flay Allster (where the author admitted he didn't know what to do with her). Hopefully, he doesn't take that authors way out.

concentration problems? i don't know, at first black zetsu said that she doesn't wanted to use her chakra because "i wAn t iT aLL!11" 

she wasn't taking them too seriously. if she were more serious about it, then they probably couldn't have a chance. i think she's beautiful but...worst final boss ever.

oh, i remember now, do you remember when Neji said he wasn't able to distingish between white zetsus and real people? if they have the  same amount of chakra and all. Kagebunshis distribute their chakras in equal parts.

i think that more than lack of concentration is... too much confidence

It's not a bout that, he still had a lot of unfinished business and while he dies the villains get time to "fix" their kitten before saying farewell.

Now now, relax. Jiraiya did fulfill his destiny of being the one to find and mentor the child of prophecy. He failed in love that's all. You never know, like Obito maybe Jiraiya will get together with Tsunade after she dies(sorry Tsunade, I like Jiraiya more  ). 

 

But I really wish he was alive. Jiraiya was undoubtedly the coolest character in the manga. My favorite. I really hoped Jiraiya would be able to see his pupil achieve his lifelong dream of bringing peace to the Shinobi world.

i was thinking about it and i want power ups for her..but not  the "it's destiny!!!!" thing. or someone given her powers. i want her to CREATE new tecniques based on her abillities. 

like kakashi said, she's a genjutsu type. genjutsu needs very precise chakra control, like medical ninjutsu, her super powerful fits and her byakujo seal. only very intelligent shinobis can use it (aside of uchiha's or someone that has something that make it easier)

another thing i want to see is her type of element power: naruto is wind and sasuke fire and lighting, whatever

then, like i said i want TO CREATE something that derives from this abillities

Ok so let's make a small recap of Team Dysfunctional Vs Kaguya from what we've seen so far.

So Sasuke calls Kakashi and Sakura useless and declares that the only reason he saved them is because they happened to stand next to Naruto. Then Kaguya transports Sasuke to another dimension, leaving Naruto alone against Kaguya. Naruto demonstrates that he can fight with Kaguya (granted Naruto is basically the Jinchuuriki of the Juubi, remember he has the power of 9 Tailed Beasts inside of him plus the power he received from the Sage). While Naruto fights with Kaguya; Sasuke declares that he can't do anything to escape from that dimension.

 

Enter Obito and Sakura who save Sasuke. Then once Sasuke is united with Naruto again, they need Kakashi and Obito to save them. While Naruto struggles to prevent Obito from dying, Sasuke charges against Kaguya and he can't even land a hit on her. Not even with his perfect Susanoo. Now enter asspull number God knows what number, and Obito uses his Kamui to go back to the real world and possess Kakashi thus resulting in Kakashi being able to use Perfect Susanoo. Might I remind you that this Susanoo is Obito's, and Obito is right now a kid.

 

So kid Obito can use Perfect Susanoo while everyone else needs to steal/receive power from someone to master Perfect Susanoo. Well I see no problem with that.

 

Now in this chapter even though it's not much, Sakura manages to punch Kaguya. So I have to ask again, why exactly is Sasuke doing there?

What exactly is Kishi's intention in showing Sasuke in this war fighting along with everyone else? Does he want to show us that Sasuke isn't a team player? That Sasuke has no real purposes? Seriously why is he even there? Is it to show us that Naruto and Sasuke are destined to fight each other because of the Indra and Ashura nonsense? If that's so then he failed yet again, it was said that Indra was powerful on his own. Sasuke on the other hand needs other people to give him power, and he still isn't a match for his opponents. Unless his opponents decide to lose the battle on purpose.

 

Seriously how hard can it be to write Sasuke?

I get what you say BUT I love to see Sasuke being trolled this way. I enjoy reading that. Its the perfect reward for being arrogant and constantly belittling others.

I can only think of Shikamura's complaining that they are troublesome, but I can't recall him ever thinking them weak or holding back when fighting them.

There was him being upset that he had to fight women (Kin and Temari) during the chuunin exams, and he said something like he'd prefer not to hit a woman when fighting Tayuya (but he would have to in this case), but yeah, he didn't think they were weak or held back when fighting them.

 
Yes, exactly. I didn't post here when the chapter came out because there was so much temperature difference between me and the members. I was downright disappointed, everyone else was happy.

Kakashi not only fought head on with Kaguya, he made a strategy to defeat her. Even making a strategy was much more impressive than what Sakura did. Acting as a puppet, do her one trick pony attack from the start of part two, wait for the demigods Naruto and Sasuke to send Kaguya flying to Sakura's way, and punch. Just a punch. Where is the development in this? It was obviously a forced spotlight to make the readers know that this is "team seven teamwork". A teamwork where one member stays in the background waiting for the one in a million opportunity to land a single punch and then go back to standing, commenting, and cheering again.

I agree. I was largely unimpressed but I didn't say anything because everyone else was so happy. I mean, yeah it's cool that she punched a "god" and she finally got to fight (well, hardly fight, just one punch) after so long, but it's really the same as we've always gotten. And just one punch.
That's what really rubbed me the wrong way: Sakura was just included for the sake of being included, because ~Team 7~ Ugh.

Well, I still think that if Sakura is going to have to do with any natural element, that'd be water, the only one missing in team 7, which funny enough we've seen that katsuyu liquifies herself... so maaaybe, if Sakura gets SSM like I presume, she'd also get a SSM and a natural element, two from one shot kinda thing and would also be no need for ass pulls if properly explained. Plus, there are those Kaguya similarities and stuff... Meh, who knows?

Sakuurrraaaaaaa chaaaaaannnnnnnn!!!!!!!! She was just so awesome today!!!!!! Man....That's the girl I put my faith in XD. Since it was a callback to chapter 4, that begs the question that will the bench scene be revisited as well?

And again....since it is safe to assume that Kaguya's chapter is nearing its end, is resolution to the pairing wars approaching as well?

Btw, I am sorry if anyone answered this but can someone tell me how did Sakura use Kamui Chidori or whatever that Lightning element attack that was. I really don't have suffiecient time to go through the past pages to find the answer. Can someone please answer this question for me?
