Oh my god! I thought it was a joke when someone here said SS fans new argument was that Sakura and Sasuke riding a white horse meant they were going to marry. Well I just found out they are really debating on that. The level of despair in that pairing fandom is too high for me.

I think the level of despair on this fandom is high aswell, it's two weeks in a row that people are too much concerned about SS and what their fandom thinks that no one is debating the chapter for like 13 pages.

Is anyone else disappointed that Kishi didn't make Naruto show concern about Sakura's state of clothing and her injuries? Naruto didn't even notice it!That is so not Naruto like. But instead, It just had to be about Sasuke again!

He's wearing a Japanese flag but he looks anything but Japanese. The American flag will match him a hundred times more.

Well the chapter didn't give them what they wanted so they look towards other things to give them the happiness. However they're very much clinging and I find it hilarious. It's an AU. That cover can become meaningful and serious once Naruto turns into a western anime. Until then though.... SS fans better take a seat. They got trolled.

You know what catched my eye this chapter was when obito died all looked suprised but sakura was suprised in a sad way or was that just me?

yea me! naruto showing concern was my prediction before the chapter was released and kishi stepped on it like a kitten

Naruto was fighting and he made it a point to stop what he was doing to ask if Sasuke even bothered thanking Sakura and Obito. I thought that was a big deal.

Nice chapter. I really feel for Obito, dying for his comrade. A good death has its own rewards, indeed. I cried a little in that last panel. What a sad and bitter ending for Obito...

 

No SS interaction, so, pretty similar to 615. In that sense, I think Kishi is playing fanservice and milking the pairing war even further. I can understand his situation. He has a lot of fans which are segmented into these 'pairing' clusters, and he need to show respect and gratitude for his fans. Not the best way to do, but I understand nonetheless...

 

The cover gives me zero impact. It's ok, though I still find the 'Samurai cover' and 'Knight cover' to be more seriously drawn. Just try to compare them side by side and you could see how much effort Kishi put into it. The level of details, the expression, the vibe... This cover, by no means, not so much effort and doesn't give that much vibe/feels, except probably for SS fans. Which is fine. They've been waiting for these stuff for years, so, let them have it and let's not ruin their parade.

 

If you compared the big three pairings and the way Kishi was playing with us:

 

NH -> chapter 615 - the 'forced' handholding moments ends up in a high note as a cliffhanger both Naruto and Hinata are conscious, only to be shown that Naruto is also transferring Chakra to everyone in 616 -> this undermines the weight of the moment drastically.

 

SS -> chapter 685 - the catch by Sasuke and having both of them starring at each other, both Sasuke and Sakura are concious, only to be skipped next chapter and on top of that, we have Naruto asked Sasuke if he has thanked Sakura AND Obito. Guess what? Sasuke responded by '... focus on the fight.' Wow, what a way to piss off certain fandom (: please continue Kishi.. haha...

 

NS -> chapter 662, we have a very desperate Sakura trying to convince Naruto and herself that he can't just give up. A cliffhanger of her with teary eyes knowing Naruto might die. The following chapter, we have almost a full chapter of Sakura's dedication to save Naruto. On top of that we have CPR as a bonus panels (3 of them some more). Sakura was fully conscious and Naruto was unaware how far Sakura would go for him.

 

Pairing-wise, I can understand Kishi don't want to resolve it so soon. Which explains we didn't get anything after Naruto was brought back from death. Any interaction for NS will be drawn with one of them 'not aware' of what the other half has done. Having this patterns all over the magna, one can easily draw a conclusion where the romance subplot is going.

 

What happens in between are just eye candy and services to please the fans...

Wait so SS is not canon yet?

I thought Sasuke catching Sakura and looking at her with complete apathy was the confirmation that SS is canon.
