This time a sakura -> naruto and a naruto -> sakura moment.

You know, at least it will be easier to go back to the field since Sasuke can sense Naruto, especially that he's in the dimension bridge. So no need to kill Obito quicker.

The stuff with Sasuke reminds me of some abusive relationship. He's given so little of himself that sticking his arm out can be interpreted as him showing signs of caring. But he literally used like three muscles. His movements were just a notch above the NOTHING that he usually does. And to decide that it was romantic or caring you would have to be reduced to analyzing the simplest of movements.

 

You never know...Sasuke might have just been reaching up to scratch his ear, and Sakura happened to be there.

 

It's not like the forest of death where Sasuke saved her (and Naruto) then demanded to know who had hurt her. That def had shipping overtones.

 

But this? Eh, it's nothing. Literally.

 

I think the stronger statement was of Obito recognizing her feelings for Naruto (a la Yamamoto) and establishing that fact before Sasuke returned to the scene. That's the important point, and the one that undermines any hopes of SS happening. 

 

Remember, just as the SS interactions are bound to happen, now Sakura has something else relationshipwise that's bound to happen too: Obito's admission that Sakura has succeeded where he and Rin failed. That parallel is now fated to come full circle too before he dies. And I predict that just like this situation, Obito's acknowledgement will undermine and overshadow any SS interactions they may have appeared to have had.

I hope you are right bc I'm sick of Kishi's shenanigans how he deals with the romance and always skipping NS interaction make Saskura always confused about her actions for Naruto I just hope next chap he proves to SS that this was nothing romantic like they think .

Naruto developement already max out in part one, that's why part two developement mostly come from sakura.
If naruto doesn't love sakura from the start of manga, we will see more naruto->sakura interaction, while make nh chance on par with NS. At least for me.

The SasuSaku interaction this chapter was actually good

 

Finally, the two got a moment that isn't shown in a negative light.

 

This actually makes me happy for Sakura, it must mean a lot for her to be able to help her former teammates.

Like Naruto, she shares the same feeling of "saving" Sasuke from what he had become.

 

So to see Sasuke actually doing something morally correct is a good sign already, but that of course will not take away all the bad things he did.

 

Anyway, what will happen next chapter particularly on how that situation continues will determine its actual weight in terms of significance.

Hopefully he won't go spouting bad things next chapter cause it'll ruin that development.

 

Plus Kishi is taking Sakura's clothing bit by bit.. i find it funny at first but it could also be for something of use later on.

SS isn't confirmed.... That's ridiculous!         

 

From chapter three or four of the manga, it has been destiny that Sakura would have to end her storyline with Sasuke. And that's what's happening now. There will be plenty of interaction between the two (and Kishimoto will probably do it as vaguely romantic as possible) but that doesn't mean anything has changed for Sakura or the prospect of NS. No ground has been lost. 

 

Sakura's resolution of her feelings for Sasuke is something that has been bound to happen since the beginning. (As will the resolution of Hinata's feelings for Naruto.) This is just the beginning of that pairing end game that will finally wind up in the last pages of the whole manga.

 

It's all okay.... Take a deep breath.... Serenity now.... Hooooooochie-mama....

 

Exactly. This is nothing unexpected and nothing to freak out over. It doesn't confirm SS, or invalidate all the previous NaruSaku moments and blatant hints.

 

To be honest, I actually smiled at the last part of the chapter because I just knew, "Here comes the panic."  Whatever Sakura's feelings may be at this point, it's not like Sasuke's have suddenly changed. The most I can see coming from Sasuke for Sakura, eventually, is respect and acknowledgement. But love -- it just isn't in the cards. The SS in this chapter is just par for the course and really, I want to see SS reach it's resolution before Kishimoto progresses forward with NS. If this is a step in that direction then I'm all for it.

That's because of such statement I'm not going to go back on this thread anymore. Sorry it's too much for me to read such a thing several times in one day, just because of 2 panels that have no meaning in romantic pairing department. You're all too invovlved in this pairing subplot, I'm sorry to say such thing, but it's how I feel, seeing this chapter as SS being canon is like having lost all kind of lucidity.

What a good chapter! Full of Sakura's storyline, and twists and turns at nearly every page!

 

I don't mind the Sasuke-Sakura interaction. It was bound to happen. It has reignited the hopes of SS shippers everywhere, I'm sure!!   But ultimately it doesn't mean any more than the NH interactions. The bulk of the evidence points to NS ftw!

 

You know, I'm sort of glad the rest of the world is wrapped and hanging from trees...it's means I don't have to worry that they'll interrupt this storyline and go off on a flashback tangent for 20-odd chapters!

 

@Chatte - you said a color page and big announcement next week? Any idea what it could be about? 

i read from another source there'll be a big announcement, a color page and a magazine cover page as well

I too think so about the clothing lol cuz Sakura hasn't shown her qaipo unzipped like hinata or ino lol

I said this before and i'll say it again.

 

If we go by whether or not the radio interview exists, then NS has been endgame since he got married with his wife. The whole Team 7 love triangle is built around Kishi being in love with a girl who was going out with the star on the baseball team (who apparently was also a pompous jerk) sometime afterwords they broke up and Kishi met her again in college and eventually they got married and had children.

 

I do not expect SS to become canon after knowing this especially after over a decade of negativity directed towards it, all of that is not gonna go away because Sasuke kept Sakura from hitting the ground.
