I just realized something, you know how that Kushina line reminds a lot of people of the start of shippuuden...well,chapter 3 starts off that way too!

At the start, Naruto didn't understand Sakura, and even worse, Sakura thought he was mocking her..and at the start of shippuuden he clearly understands her more but...he doesn't get the way she flirts at times. At this point she is flirting back and such....towards her confession, we can see that they both seem to get each other very well, but they aren't quite there yet.

So what I'm saying is, this is clearly a build-up when it comes to Naruto and Sakura. Love doesn't just...happen. It slowly grows.

Am I making sense? X.x

I have to say I'm not a Minato hater but the dude is a failure of epic proportions, he sealed Kyubi into his son instead of remaining with him to educate him because he couldn't stand to live without his wife as a consequence Naruto lived most of his life being hated ; not too long ago when Naruto was caught by the tree Tobirama acted before him while Minato was watching his son getting his chakra sucked and now he has a flashback where he promises his wife he will protect their son and end up giving the only thing that could save his son to the enemy. Sorry but that wasn't the time to flashback to your deceased wife, focus on saving your son instead.

The chapter's name seems almost sarcastic, worst father ever.

The only good thing is that healing Naruto with the other half of Kurama is over or at least I hope, this retcon was stupid to begin with.

 

It's not really a retcon, when the the whole thing has been shrouded in mystery.  No character knows how to save a Jinchuuriki, when the Bijuu is removed.  No one, not even a Bijuu.  With Kushina, she wanted to reseal Kurama, in order for it to die along with her.  You can infer that the resealing wouldn't kill her, but it wouldn't save her either.  Jinchuuriki dying once the beast is removed is absolute.  With Kurama, what would you have done in his shoes, would give you up on Naruto, or gamble on a slight hope?  He really shouldn't know more than the humans regarding  Bijuu extraction, because no one has ever survived to give a reference.  He gambled on a rational possibility, and entrusted it to Gaara.  These two situations are realistic, because characters themselves don't have all the answers, especially for problem that's been portrayed to never have had a solution.  The fact both Kushina, Minato and Kurama were basically guessing, based on what they knew, is very realistic, very human.

 

 

Fully agree with this. Even if Madara can negate Ninjutsu, Taijutsu would most definitely still work. So yeah, an 8-gates Guy wailing on Madara to buy time is a very likely scenario.

 

 

You really should've watched last week's anime episode. That episode and this chapter brought a smile to my face for the MinaKushi goodness .

 

Gai can barely stand though.  He needs Lee to give him support.

 

Hmm, it's interesting that in MS translation Madara considered the tools useless... Guess we have to wait for the raws to come out and say for sure.

And ofc they changed Kushina's line... 

 

What did they change and why?

 

Seeing Madara, with the big bushy hair and pointed head band, reminded me very much of Jiraiya with his Jizo hair and pronounced nibs on his headband plate. 

 

Madara in his new form reminds me of Grimmjow from Bleach.

 

Actually Kishi never explained why Jinchuurikis die when they lose their bijuus.
He only said they die because of the stress of a bijuu leaving your body however due to Sakura's treatment, Naruto's internal organs or his organism is fine.
Is due to chakra loss?
if it is then replenishing Naruto's chakra would not be capable of healing him?
Because if that's so Sakura's healing ninjutsu should have work.
Naruto's is dying from an unknown reason or like i say magically.

In all honestly it's flawed and Kishi put that because during most part of the story Naruto always rejected the kyuubi and it's power, if Kishimoto didnt put this risk of "jinchuuriki dying" he would have give up his jinchuuriki status long time ago since he rejected it until the war arc because he viewed it as a problem and a power that only hurt his friends.

 

One of the mysteries of the manga that I hope finally gets explained.  This is the perfect opportunity.

 

Technically it's still in the pot. Although it does raise the question how the hell did Obito managed to access that chakra because it was said that once something is sealed inside it will stay sealed forever. Oh retcon.

 

It's not even in the pot anymore.  Naruto, Sasuke and the Alliance pulled it out during the "tug of war", along with Giyuki's chakra from the Octopus tail, and the Bijuu.  One of my friends on MangaFox pointed it out:  http://forums.mangaf...-amp-Benihisago.  He's one of the few NaruSaku fans I know on that site.

 

Nobody recognized Obito when Zetsu took over his body, maybe the same has happened to the foot-person, possibly Kabuto?

The figure looks a bit like a Zetsu, the hairstyle and height and everything. Eh, don't ask me how it happened. But maybe Karin can't sense this person's chakra because of Zetsu.

 

 

Another possibility is that it is White Zetsu.  Look at chapter 662 as he appears next to Spiral Zetsu.  Next chapter as Karin is rampaging, White Zetsu is missing, and at the end we first see the mysterious foot.  With how quick, apparently, Zetsu can travel underground, I wouldn't be surprised if he got back there so quickly.  It could be he's there to remove Sasuke's Sharingan.  It also explains why the person's lower legs are shown, and feet are barefooted.

As it's shown here during Obito's tug-of-war, that little part of Kurama's chakra was also pulled out along with Gyuki's tentacle chakra.

 

It seems the only way to save Naruto really is to get Dark Kurama back from Black Zetsu.

To me there is nothing in this page that prooves Naruto sucked back the Kin/Gin chakra. They might have been protected by the pot/gourd.

 

Although, I still kind of think the pot and gourd might be empty...

 

To be really honest, I hope it will be empty as I think, because I want to see despair and I don't want to see those asspulled bro anymore.

There is Kyuubi chakra here ! At this time, Obito just had kyuubi chrakra from the Kin/Gin bro !!!  So unless this is a BIG mistake, Kyuubi's chakra is not anymore in those pot/gourd.

Anyway, I have not much to say about the chapter... except I loved the Minato/Kushina scene. And specially the "Because I am his mother" Kushina line.

 

And now what the seemingly last resort to save Naruto has failed, what they will do now? Not matter what, I do not think Sakura pulls a Chiyo. No way Kishimoto is killing her.

not as "heart-pumping" as last week's chapter, but nevertheless good.

 

I've been watching reviews and reading stuffs and i always see some disappointment, distaste or pure frustration to Minato's slip up this chapter.

 

More than disappointment, I actually feel sorry for him. How will he take this mistake i wonder? He does remind me of Naruto during the flashbacks though (or more like most men in general).

 

Not that i'm grasping at straws just to make a NS connection, its more like how Naruto is similar to his father.

 

-with him saying there's nothing to worry about when there IS REALLY something to get worried about.

Reminds me of Naruto reassuring Sakura that there is nothing to worry about (before Sasuke leaves Konoha. Kakashi is somewhat like this too though...he even admits it when Sakura went to kill off Sasuke that he said stuffs that give her empty hopes)

 

Men like them are most likely harsh to themselves and more likely to blame oneself. They do the calm duck pose on water while they paddle to death underneath. Therefore, these kind of men needs someone to reaffirm themselves.

 

It might be cheesy but I'd like Naruto to openly acknowledge his father, i mean..i think Minato NEEDS IT.

That guy is probably in shambles already when he sealed the kyuubi on his own son and was not able to save his wife, then comes THIS.

Naruto even punched him the first time. I know boys in this manga "talks with their fist" but whatevs... i'll be happy for Minato if he will get some sort of acknowledgment from his son. not just with "i guess i'm fine since my dad is a hokage"

 

Father's love FTW lol.

 

o btw.. blushing Minato is so................................................NARUTO!

guess they can't help it to make that kind of face when they are in the presence of the woman they love.

All of you saying that the Kyuubi's chakra and the Gold and Silver brothers aren't in the pot you are correct. I forgot that the Gold and Silver brothers were Edo Tensei and they vanished when Itachi released the technique and I forgot that Naruto pulled all the Bijuu's from Obito even Kurama's part. So the pot and gourd will be used to seal Madara, unless Kishi decides that the Kyuubi's chakra is still in the pot and gourd which doesn't really make sense like most of you pointed out. So in the end Obito gaining control of his body might actually happen.

You know, with this scene you remembered me of something.

As we all know, after Naruto fought Gaara, Sakura wanted to thank Sasuke.

So what if it goes like that: Naruto thanks his father for saving him and tells him the same words as he told Kushina, that he's happy yadda yadda and Minato does exactly like Sasuke did with Sakura... 
Something like "Don't thank me... Thank her! - while watching at Sakura - To keep you alive this girl risked everything" or something along the lines...
