I will try to keep my expectations reasonable; I don't want to expect another Pandora Hearts. If she somehow pulled off two masterpieces in a row, that would be amazing, but I don't want to be disappointed.

 

That being said, I'm really looking forward to whatever she does next. It'll be great seeing more of her work. She's proven herself to be a hell of a storyteller.

Yeah, we'll see how it goes. I'm not expecting another on the level on Pandora Hearts, but I'm definitely hoping for something good. MochiJun certainly has the talent of a master storyteller, so I feel comfortable putting my confidence in her.

Pandora Hearts already kind of pushed the envelope for the kind of material usually seen in shounen, but yeah, the new series looks like it will have a darker tone overall. I can see why people are saying the new character resembles Leo. He really does, a lot, lol.

Such a depressing thought, and also makes Echo's death even more 'final' knowing she was likely never reborn. Poor Oz. And especially poor Echo. Yup, that just got me right in the feels.

Fun fact for those who don't know but Volume 23 is scheduled to hit the states in the US on December 15th, nothing yet on Volume 24 (Final Volume) but I'll take my chances and say sometime in 2016.  Hearing that news is exciting, and hmm I wonder if I'll catch up with the volumes by the release of Volume 23 since I've already got the first 10 on my bookshelf, but nonetheless I'm excited.

I agree with pretty much everything. It got me kind of emotional, lol.

 

You mentioned some things I hadn't noticed even though I read the final chapter a couple times, so good job. I agree with the things you talked about that could have used more elaboration and resolution, Sharon aging again, the Baskervilles' misfortune, etc. It doesn't really take away from my overall enjoyment and satisfaction with the chapter and the series, but it would have been nice to have those more touched on. Also, I kind of took it as the Baskervilles did use Jack's body as the Core's vessel, at least that was what I felt was implied since they wouldn't be able to actually 'communicate' with it otherwise.

Thanks! And hm, it's possible. Maybe she intended it to be vague too, but I'm not sure if that's the wisest choice. While I don't think the same thing would happen this time around if Jack's body were to be the vessel (because of his body's very unique traits), Gil and Leo seemed pretty worried about it, and I don't know how I'd feel if they did in fact risk screwing up the world again like that. Yes they need it for the core to speak, but with GIl's last comments on the matter, it feels like it'd be super irresponsible for them to take that risk, after all the trouble the vessel situation caused before. If the takeaway is that they did give the core Jack's body after all, then it should have been led into/implied a bit more sensibly. I really hope the translation on the official release improves this section.

Not at all, actually. I can't decide between OzEcho and OzAlice myself.
